The staff at Brantley Manor are very upbeat, caring and respectful of the residents. The home is spacious, the bedrooms are comfortable and the food is all homemade and looks tasty. The residents that are able to are encouraged to participate in various activities daily, either inside the home or outside
in the spacious garden. Relatives have the opportunity to video call with loves ones regularly.

I have been going to see my friend weekly until it closed because of Covid-19. I was very emotional after I had sat with her holding her hand and she gave me such a smile, she looked lovely, clothes hair and fingernails. I knew how well she had been looked after and I felt good inside. The staff are
always there for me too. Thank you all so very much.

My mum has been in Brantley since February of this year, we were so worried about her being admitted into a care home, this was our first experience and we really did not know what to expect
The manager and her team made Mums admission into their family so welcoming, Mums dementia made it impossible
for her to be cared for at home by my elderly father of 89 years, I live nearly 100 miles away so couldn't offer much in the way of help.
I've seen wonderful changes in mums whole personality, she has life in her eyes again and a smile on her face, which tells me she is relaxed and enjoying her life in Brantley Manor.
I much appreciate all their efforts it gives me peace of mind knowing she is well cared for.

Amazing what activities this care home offer the service users. I'm really enjoying keeping up with them on celebrations which are daily and we take for granted and they keep them alive for the residents. Looking back to past events and keeping memories alive. Well done to all the staff you should be
proud.

My dad has been in Brantley Manor for nearly 3 years. It’s a fantastic home from home. The staff are all very kind and caring, friendly and approachable. They have lots of fun with the endless activities on offer. Everywhere is clean and well looked after, inside and out. The food is excellent with
lots of choice.
I would recommend it to anyone.

Mum has been a resident at Brantley since November 2020, she was able to move in during the Covid pandemic as she was unable to live alone at home anymore.
All the staff have been fantastic and I can’t fault the care mum receives. It is so reassuring to see mum settled and safe, I love seeing her pictures
on Facebook engaging with the activities that are happening at Brantley. I have been able to visit mum, during the restrictions via window and pod visits. And now restrictions have lifted I can see her in person and hold her hand again. Brantley has always ensured the safety of residents and visitors alike with the testing and hygiene regimes.
Thank you for all that you do for mum and all the residents.

Both my parents have lived in Brantley. Mum (living with Alzheimer’s) has lived there for several years, and the care she receives has been consistent and excellent; nothing is too much trouble. Mum, sadly, doesn’t recognise me, but I have seen her face light up when familiar staff members interact
with her, which is so reassuring. Dad was in Brantley for palliative care at the end of his life. He chose to live there, having been impressed by the care given to Mum and appreciating the genuine warmth that he was shown by staff when visiting. As a resident, he had nothing but high praise for the whole staff, who went above and beyond to ensure his comfort and happiness. It is evident that each member of the team puts the well-being of the residents at the heart of everything they do. In my experience, residents’ families feel part of the ‘Brantley Family' and are welcomed and supported by the staff team. Brantley, with its warm, friendly atmosphere, really is a home from home.

I would highly recommend this loving and caring home, where my mother has been a resident for over a year. I have nothing but praise for the whole team for the way they have dealt with the coronavirus situation. Alongside their normal high standards of care, they have been very inventive with their
activities programme to keep all residents busy during this difficult time when no visitors have been allowed. Regular video chats have been arranged between residents and their friends and families, so nobody needs to have felt totally alone. A big well done, and thank you to all the amazing staff.

I would recommend this home to anyone who wants the reassurance that the well-being of the residents is of paramount importance. The staff are absolutely fantastic and totally understand the definition of care. It was my Mum's birthday in June and they made a cake and good fuss of her. The home takes
the time to find out the background of their residents so they can communicate and make everyone welcome. The peace of mind this gives me knowing Mum is being well looked after is absolutely essential and I can't thank or praise the management and staff highly enough.

I have been coming to this care home for over 2 years on a weekly basis. The whole of the staff work as a team. They are very welcoming and efficient in everything they do. Any questions are answered as quickly as possible. Cannot praise this home enough. Obviously, this home is so efficiently run because
of all concerned in the residents' care and attention to each and everyone as an individual with different needs. I have been at different times of the day and have got to know the staff. Anybody looking for a care home for one of their loved ones could not ask for any better.

Current Review Score: 8.7 (8.669)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 8.7 (8.669) out of 10 for Brantley Manor is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.7 out of 5 from 4 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.0 out of 5 from 4 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.688 for Brantley Manor is calculated as follows: ( (34 Excellents x 5) + (13 Goods x 4) + (1 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 48 Ratings = 4.688
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 3.981 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Brantley Manor is based on 4 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 10 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, and then 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews and then 0.1 Points for the next five Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.100, 7th = 0.100, 8th = 0.100, 9th = 0.100, 10th = 0.100) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 = 3.375
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 33 registered maximum number of service users is 6.6. 4 Positive Reviews ÷ 6.6 = 0.606
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
