Overall Experience

My mother has been in Brantley Manor care home for nearly 4 years now. At first she did not know anyone but soon made friends and then settled very quickly. The home is very clean and warm and welcoming as are the rooms, Mums looks out into the rear garden area which is always peaceful for her. The staff are very professional and keeping the residents entertained is one of their priorities. My mum has always had a good appetite and they soon got to know what she likes to eat. In the evening she sits down in the resident's lounge and has a brandy & lemonade with one of her best friends while watching the TV. My partner and I are always kept informed as we go Online to Brantley every week. When mum first went into Brantley, we were concerned at putting mum into care, but as she was struggling to look after herself and stay in her own home, we realised it was the sensible option. Now we absolutely know we made the right decision. Thank you Brantley Manor 5 stars highly recommended.

Thank you for your wonderful comments. We believe that being Person-Centered is important so those that still like a tipple are still given this choice, as they would once done at home and this is now their home.

All the members of staff are very approachable and helpful, nothing is too much trouble for them to do for myself and my mum. There is a very homely and happy feeling to the care home. My mind is completely put at rest that my mum is safe and cared for in such a happy, jolly and welcoming environment.

This was my first time visiting Brantley Manor, as my sister recently came here as a resident. I could see walking in, that it was very welcoming. I found the staff very caring, very homely and a nice atmosphere. I feel sure my sister will be cared for in this lovely home. This makes me feel very happy.

I recently visited Brantley Manor and loved the homely atmosphere. The home was filled with love, laughter and happiness from both the residents and the staff. I can’t praise Brantley Manor enough. The respect, love and care that all staff show for the residents is outstanding. My mother and auntie both reside at Brantley and on mother’s day, we all enjoyed afternoon tea together, in a relaxed family atmosphere. Mum really enjoys all the activities that the residents do, in particular the craft, art and musical activities. Mum is happier than she has been for many years, in the constant, caring company of residents and carers alike.

My grandma has been there a nearly year and as someone who works in care, I know how hard it can be, but I love how they put so much effort into keeping the residents entertained and always singing, talking and trying to keep them involved. One member of staff, in particular, is always keeping us up to date as to when my grandma gets up(she likes to stay in bed) and helps to keep her talking and mind busy. A very grateful granddaughter.

Brantley Manor, by the all-round excellent care, extended to my beloved husband, has enabled him to have a level of contentment I would not have believed possible. At the same time, it has given me a state of peace of mind regarding his care, which I would not have believed possible. I have found the manager, along with the care staff to be most approachable and keen to answer any query I have. There is a warm and happy atmosphere in Brantley Manor, no doubt not easily achieved!

I attended Brantley Manor as a stallholder with my gift shop for their Christmas event. It was lovely to see the interaction between staff and patients dancing, talking and having fun, and patients were obviously well cared for and respected.

I visited mum on Friday the 3rd of September which was my second visit since the Covid 19 restrictions had been relaxed and I just wanted to say how wonderful my visit was.
It was such a joy to see everyone and talk to everyone again, there were a lot of happy smiley faces which is always a good thing to see and familiar faces from my previous visits which also always makes me very happy.
Brantley Manor is always clean and tidy and in the past, I have sat in the dining room and sampled some of the lovely homemade produce.
The staff are all so friendly and nothing seems like too much trouble one of the male staff who was on duty yesterday even told me he had been communicating with my mother in her own native language of Portuguese which made me feel so happy and I know how much joy this will have brought to Mum.

The staff and manager all work really really hard and are prepared to go that extra mile.

The staff are kind, compassionate and caring. My husband has only been there five days but already there is a big improvement in both his mental and physical wellbeing. He no longer is withdrawing into himself, eating better and cooperating with staff to try to stand again after fracturing his hip in hospital.

We love the care and attention the staff give to all the residents. Under the guidance of the awesome manager, we feel blessed to have our mother-in-law in such a safe, caring and gentle home. The gardens outside are an added bonus. This home sets the bar high and should be commended for the job they do.

The staff at Brantley Manor are very upbeat, caring and respectful of the residents. The home is spacious, the bedrooms are comfortable and the food is all homemade and looks tasty. The residents that are able to are encouraged to participate in various activities daily, either inside the home or outside in the spacious garden. Relatives have the opportunity to video call with loves ones regularly.

I have been going to see my friend weekly until it closed because of Covid-19. I was very emotional after I had sat with her holding her hand and she gave me such a smile, she looked lovely, clothes hair and fingernails. I knew how well she had been looked after and I felt good inside. The staff are always there for me too. Thank you all so very much.

My mum has been in Brantley since February of this year, we were so worried about her being admitted into a care home, this was our first experience and we really did not know what to expect
The manager and her team made Mums admission into their family so welcoming, Mums dementia made it impossible for her to be cared for at home by my elderly father of 89 years, I live nearly 100 miles away so couldn't offer much in the way of help.
I've seen wonderful changes in mums whole personality, she has life in her eyes again and a smile on her face, which tells me she is relaxed and enjoying her life in Brantley Manor.

I much appreciate all their efforts it gives me peace of mind knowing she is well cared for.
