Your fees cover several areas while in their care.
These services are: Personal care, accommodation,
utilities, use of communal areas, meals, drinks and
snacks, laundry (excluding dry cleaning),
housekeeping, maintenance and activities run by the
home.


Services NOT included in price are: dentistry, chiropody,
physiotherapy, occupational therapy, opticians, hairdressing,
medications, toiletries, clothing, newspapers/magazines.
During your stay, you may need to purchase additional goods
and services. If they are able to provide such goods and
services, they will tell you how much these goods and services
will cost and they expect that you will pay for these goods and
services at the time you request them.
They can accompany loved ones to private appointments,
however the fee attached to this is £21 per hour. Where private taxi
services are used for transportation to appointments the cost should
be paid for by yourself.

The staff were friendly, caring and efficient. The carpet in bedroom 26 needs replacing. Very sticky and smelly. Overall a very good care home and would recommend it.

Ermine House have been wonderful. Mum was always happy, comfortable and well looked after. The staff are marvellous - caring, attentive, friendly. I was always very comforted to know Mum was being so well and kindly cared for. It means such a lot.

Overall, I am very satisfied with the care my mother is receiving. All the staff are friendly and appear to genuinely care for the residents and are dedicated to their profession. My mother was previously at a small care home (18 residents) which I think possibly suited her condition better, but I appreciate
the economies of scale and why larger care homes are more financially viable.

I cannot thank the staff enough for the care my mum has been receiving and is still receiving now. Recently Mum was taken into hospital to A&E and was taken back to Ermine House where I knew she would get the best care ever. The staff are so friendly, caring and supportive. I have been impressed with Ermine House from the very first time we arrived. The staff are all caring and nothing is ever too much trouble. I have never heard a cross-word or argument between anyone. The staff never fail to ask my mum how she enjoyed herself when we go out. She is very contented with
her place there.

My mum was in Ermine House for 4 years, the care she received was excellent, the family were always made welcome, during covid, they organised safe visiting and kept family informed when in lockdown. When Mum was at end-of-life care, they were all amazing, the care and compassion they showed Mum and
family members, helped the family as the end for Mum came. We as a family will never be able to thank them enough for all they did for Mum.

The care and support our mum has received have been excellent. It has been so nice during these difficult times to know that Mum has been so well looked after. Our mum initially went into Ermine House for convalescent after her stroke four years ago. My brother and I knew straightaway Ermine House was the right carehome for our mum. After six weeks mum went home but it wasn't long before it was clear she couldn't cope and mum went back into Ermine House. The
care, support and attention is excellent. The cleanliness, the food is excellent too. The management and all the staff team provide a high level of care and while covid has been on all the staff have treated our mum like one of their own. The communication was excellent and the support at the end. All the staff were very compassionate and caring. Thank you everyone at Ermine House.

Our mum initially went into Ermine House for respite due to Alzheimer's but this then became a permanent arrangement. The care, support and attention from the staff made her feel very safe and she very quickly referred to Ermine House as her home. The physical environment of Ermine House is very welcoming
and homely. The management and staff team provide a high level of care and compassion and there is a great range of social activities which provide fun and stimulation. As a daughter of a resident I always felt welcomed, communication was great, I was very content that Mum was well looked after. During a particularly difficult time, the staff were very compassionate and caring. Thank you everyone at Ermine House.

Ermine House is such a caring and positive place. My mum spent several months here and everyone was so welcoming and made you feel part of one big happy family. The care that was provided was really good with staff ensuring they know each resident as an individual. Medical needs were handled professionally
and we were always kept in the loop as a family during the lockdown. The staff ensured contact was still provided by different means.

Staff at Ermine House are very Caring, Professional and helpful, they go the extra mile to look after my Mothers health and welfare. The family feel confident that she is getting the best care that she could ever get.
All of the staff are "diamonds", I don't know how they have coped over this difficult
time. On behalf of the family, I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of the staff for looking after Mum.

We visited the home on Christmas Day, and we just wanted to let you know how amazing the particular staff member that dressed up as Father Christmas and gave all the residents a gift with such love and kindness. Even though she was away from her family on Christmas Day, she still was so happy and positive.
All of the above made it lovely for our family knowing our Mum/Nan was so well looked after.

No, I will never go in a home! There comes a time when we just can't cope at home alone and when mum went into Ermine House I couldn't see it ending well. But we gave it a chance and staff are great and keep the residents on their toes with a laugh and a joke. Some of the rooms are a little small and
could do with a coat of paint. The food and drink are plentiful and the entertainment is good. A ride our on the bus is a treat. Medical care seems good and the staff right from the top are approachable and listen to any problems. It can't be easy with such a mix of people, I can only praise the staff and thank them for their efforts.

My mum has only moved in here a few days. My mum is a different lady so happy and contented, all the staff are wonderful can't do enough for mum, she is eating well. Staff always make us feel welcome. Will definitely recommend Ermine House.

My Mum came into Ermine House for respite while I was away on holiday. The staff made her feel welcome and put us both at ease. She was well looked after, it was clean and everyone was happy. I would definitely let my Mum go there again.

My mum very much sees Ermine as her home, as a shy lady she sometimes feels it's difficult to voice her feelings, however, I have on several occasions found it difficult to contact someone by phone after 7pm due to the phone system you have, which is very frustrating.
The only other, albeit little,
thing is my mum will order something from the menu but when seated will be given something else.
This may be the highlight of her day so would it be possible to provide what is on the menu?

My mum came to Ermine House following the death of my dad who was her carer. Our first impressions were of a home where people cared, but also where residents are involved and can influence how they live their lives there. The staff are patient, kind and attentive, not just with the residents but with

My sister and I are very pleased with the care mum is receiving at Ermine House. The staff are always very welcoming and friendly and go above and beyond their care of duty, in every aspect. The staff are also very helpful in answering any questions or queries we might have and they are very caring
and kind to the residents and attend to their needs quickly.
The care mum receives is excellent and mum is settled which gives us peace of mind. There are plenty of activities and the food is good. My little granddaughter loves the fuss she gets!
