My mum came to Ermine House following the death of my dad who was her carer. Our first impressions were of a home where people cared, but also where residents are involved and can influence how they live their lives there. The staff are patient, kind and attentive, not just with the residents but with their families too. We are more than happy with mums care and her quality of life at Ermine House and we know dad would be too.

My sister and I are very pleased with the care mum is receiving at Ermine House. The staff are always very welcoming and friendly and go above and beyond their care of duty, in every aspect. The staff are also very helpful in answering any questions or queries we might have and they are very caring and kind to the residents and attend to their needs quickly.

The care mum receives is excellent and mum is settled which gives us peace of mind. There are plenty of activities and the food is good. My little granddaughter loves the fuss she gets!

Both my parents were residents at Ermine House for more than a year. The care they received from the very friendly, caring staff was excellent, particularly in their dying days. The home was very clean. All the staff, from management down to the cleaners, were very approachable and helpful. My parents' end of life care was exceptional.

When I go to visit there is always a nice cheery welcome and when I leave a warm goodbye. In between just seems like one really happy family. Service with a smile especially well received when the tea trolley appears or dinner time beckons. The outside activities give the residents different environments to look forward to and a treat before returning back home.

Ermine House puts 'care' in all possible ways at the centre of its provision. From housekeeping and catering staff to activities coordinator, manager, carers all aim to provide a home from home environment where each resident is valued and respected.

As family members, we really appreciated the welcome we received and the support provided during difficult times including end of life care.

The staff were more than helpful in addressing the needs of Mum in all areas i.e., dressing and assisting, we have seen a positive change, both in attitude and her whole well being since moving into the home. What we thought was going to be a difficult time has been a welcome experience knowing the care she rightly deserves, very pleased with everything.

My Auntie lived at Ermine House for 14 mths. The care and respect she received during her time there was second to none. She had a lovely room which was very clean and well decorated and I always noticed that she had pretty bedding on her bed. All of the staff I met were caring and cheerful. Auntie always commented about how good the food was - this was praise indeed as she was generally very fussy! I could not have wished for a better place for Auntie to live, once she was no longer able to care for herself. The staff were always very attentive and quick to call a Doctor when she was unwell.

I was impressed to see that there always activities going on for the Residents.

When Auntie needed end of life care at the age of 94, it was such a relief for us as a family to know she could return from hospital to Ermine House for her final days. She received all of the help and support she needed in such a caring and dignified way.

We are so grateful to Ermine House. Auntie was so happy there.

Mum has been at Ermine House since October 2015 and has settled very well. The home is very well run with an excellent staffing ratio of lovely, warm carers. Although the property was built in the 1960's it appears well maintained and is always beautifully clean. The meals are cooked on the premises and the food looks appetising and is plentiful. There is an activities coordinator and volunteers offering a wide range of things to engage the residents. Mum is very happy at Ermine House and we feel reassured that she is receiving such good care from staff who treat her as an individual.

All the carers are excellent. It's the best care home in Lincoln. Always there when you want them. They do anything for you if you wet the bed they will change it for you. Activities are very good and you get outings, films, bingo and entertainers.

The home is always a friendly place. Very busy, entertainment for the residents if they want it. The meals always look appetising. and have quite a good choice. One big fault is getting your washing back, but I don't think any home has a perfect solution for that.

When I first came into Ermine House in February 2015, I was petrified and very unhappy. It did not take me long to get over the fear of coming into care, because I found the management and carers were extremely caring and helpful. Nothing is too much for them. They are all friendly and very caring. The food is good. The housekeepers do a splendid job as well. All the staff work very hard to make sure that each resident is happy and content. You really could not wish for more wonderful staff. I would never want to leave Ermine House.

It is a good care home, the facilities are good but it would be helpful if details of things to do were published in the rooms, so residents would know what things were available to do other than watch television. I have never known this. Calls needing toilet should have priority rather than removing dishes. You should not have to wait over two half an hour after you have rung the bell for this. It would make a great deal of difference to the residents who are not mobile to have a small television in their room. Residents should not have to ask for a bath or shower they should have this offered every week. If news papers could be ordered it would be helpful.
