Your fees cover several areas while in their care.
These services are: Personal care, accommodation,
utilities, use of communal areas, meals, drinks and
snacks, laundry (excluding dry cleaning),
housekeeping, maintenance and activities run by the
home.


Services NOT included in price are: dentistry, chiropody,
physiotherapy, occupational therapy, opticians, hairdressing,
medications, toiletries, clothing, newspapers/magazines.
During your stay, you may need to purchase additional goods
and services. If they are able to provide such goods and
services, they will tell you how much these goods and services
will cost and they expect that you will pay for these goods and
services at the time you request them.
They can accompany loved ones to private appointments,
however the fee attached to this is £21 per hour. Where private taxi
services are used for transportation to appointments the cost should
be paid for by yourself.

Both my parents were residents at Ermine House for more than a year. The care they received from the very friendly, caring staff was excellent, particularly in their dying days. The home was very clean. All the staff, from management down to the cleaners, were very approachable and helpful. My parents'
end of life care was exceptional.

When I go to visit there is always a nice cheery welcome and when I leave a warm goodbye. In between just seems like one really happy family. Service with a smile especially well received when the tea trolley appears or dinner time beckons. The outside activities give the residents different environments
to look forward to and a treat before returning back home.

Ermine House puts 'care' in all possible ways at the centre of its provision. From housekeeping and catering staff to activities coordinator, manager, carers all aim to provide a home from home environment where each resident is valued and respected.
As family members, we really appreciated the welcome
we received and the support provided during difficult times including end of life care.

The staff were more than helpful in addressing the needs of Mum in all areas i.e., dressing and assisting, we have seen a positive change, both in attitude and her whole well being since moving into the home. What we thought was going to be a difficult time has been a welcome experience knowing the

I went to Ermine House for respite care.
I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. The staff were brilliant. I had everything I needed and met lovely people. I would happily go back there again. What a lovely place to be.

My Auntie lived at Ermine House for 14 mths. The care and respect she received during her time there was second to none. She had a lovely room which was very clean and well decorated and I always noticed that she had pretty bedding on her bed. All of the staff I met were caring and cheerful. Auntie
always commented about how good the food was - this was praise indeed as she was generally very fussy! I could not have wished for a better place for Auntie to live, once she was no longer able to care for herself. The staff were always very attentive and quick to call a Doctor when she was unwell.
I was impressed to see that there always activities going on for the Residents.


When Auntie needed end of life care at the age of 94, it was such a relief for us as a family to know she could return from hospital to Ermine House for her final days. She received all of the help and support she needed in such a caring and dignified way.


We are so grateful to Ermine House. Auntie was so happy there.

Mum has been at Ermine House since October 2015 and has settled very well. The home is very well run with an excellent staffing ratio of lovely, warm carers. Although the property was built in the 1960's it appears well maintained and is always beautifully clean. The meals are cooked on the premises
and the food looks appetising and is plentiful. There is an activities coordinator and volunteers offering a wide range of things to engage the residents. Mum is very happy at Ermine House and we feel reassured that she is receiving such good care from staff who treat her as an individual.

I have always found the staff to be patient and understanding when dealing with my Dad. They are very helpful and sympathetic to his needs, and have reacted quickly and efficiently when outside help needed. Would recommend the Care Home to anyone.

I visited a resident who was remembered by the staff from a previous respite care. Her room was clean, spacious and comfortable. Staff were very caring and patient with the residents in general.

The staff, are very good to my mother considering the pressure they are under. My mother is happy and settled here, which is all that matters to her family. It puts us at ease knowing that she is being cared for at all times.

All the carers are excellent. It's the best care home in Lincoln. Always there when you want them. They do anything for you if you wet the bed they will change it for you. Activities are very good and you get outings, films, bingo and entertainers.

The home is always a friendly place. Very busy, entertainment for the residents if they want it. The meals always look appetising. and have quite a good choice. One big fault is getting your washing back, but I don't think any home has a perfect solution for that.

When I first came into Ermine House in February 2015, I was petrified and very unhappy. It did not take me long to get over the fear of coming into care, because I found the management and carers were extremely caring and helpful. Nothing is too much for them. They are all friendly and very caring.
The food is good. The housekeepers do a splendid job as well. All the staff work very hard to make sure that each resident is happy and content. You really could not wish for more wonderful staff. I would never want to leave Ermine House.

It is a good care home, the facilities are good but it would be helpful if details of things to do were published in the rooms, so residents would know what things were available to do other than watch television. I have never known this. Calls needing toilet should have priority rather than removing
dishes. You should not have to wait over two half an hour after you have rung the bell for this. It would make a great deal of difference to the residents who are not mobile to have a small television in their room. Residents should not have to ask for a bath or shower they should have this offered every week. If news papers could be ordered it would be helpful.

My mother has been at Ermine House for a year now, I live in Southampton and visit her once a month. The manager keeps me up-to-date with e-mails and all the staff are very friendly and caring. My mother's dementia gets the better of her in the evenings, but the manager talks to me and explains things
- like sundowning, and appointments are made with CPN's who visit her.
Mum's room is on the small side, but she is happy with it and has some things from home with her. She enjoys the food, as do I when I stay for lunch, and she said she wouldn't like to move. I cannot fault the staff, their patience and understanding are to be applauded. As you walk in the atmosphere is open and welcoming.

My mother was taken to Ermine House in Lincoln following a stay somewhere else. She was admitted as a result of a fall on 20/21 Nov 2015. This resulted in no use of her right hand or arm. There were other issues re her mental health and continency problems. She is 90 on 15/7/16. Whilst she has been
in Ermine House she has been treated with dignity and respect. The staff have kept in regular contact with myself and have kept me well informed.
