As a family, including my mum, we cannot praise the staff highly enough as they are always happy and nothing is too much trouble. When our daughter got married, a staff member accompanied mum to the wedding, which was very kind of her and meant so much to us as a family.
Mum enjoys lots of different activities which take place in the home, such as visiting musicians and performers together with regular craft and baking sessions. We are confident that mum is getting the best of care whilst living at Southfield House.

Sally has worked for the trust for almost 16 years. Sally was first employed as a night career and after a short while, she became night senior carer, which included organising rotas for the team and carrying out supervisions and personal development reviews. After a few years, Sally's circumstances at home changed and this enabled her to transfer to the day care team. This was a shock to the system as prior to working at OSJCT she was always working nights. It didn't take Sally long to realise this was a positive change and Sally was then able to apply for the role of relief care leader an on to a senior carer role, working her way up to the current position as Head of Care at Southfield house.
Throughout her whole working life, Sally has always worked in the care sector. After school sally attended college and studied childcare and development and then went on to work as a private nanny, in London, Cheshire and Manchester. After moving back to Lincolnshire and having her own family she decided she would like to have a change and work with the elderly.
Sally is passionate about giving the best care possible to our residents ensuring person-centred care is promoted. Sally believes that it is an honour and a privilege to help care for the residents who reside in our homes. Sally enjoys meeting with residents, their family and friends and has developed some great relationships that go beyond the workplace. Sally says that every day is different and that’s part of the joy of working in a residential setting it never fails to surprise! Sally believes that everyone is kept on their toes, there is always someone who will brighten up your day or make you smile and that is so important, after all as Sally always says, "laughter is the best medicine".
Sally Parkinson is married with two children, Jennifer and Sophie, both girls have followed in their mum's footsteps and have enjoyed working in the care sector at different points of their working life. When Sally is not at work she enjoys being with family and her 2 dogs, Bow and Bella who are very spoilt, Sally sometimes brings the dogs into the home where residents really enjoy seeing them and having lots of cuddles, the dogs love it too as they get extra treats.
