My mum was on the decline after a stroke and her health was really worrying, weighing only 47kgs and not eating sufficiently or looking after herself in her own home with care visits.
From the initial assessment of my mum's needs in her own home, to the end of her respite care at Stones Place, my mum has been treated with absolute dignity and her health improvement has been so good. Mum has enjoyed the food and drinks and attention from all staff and residents who make her feel 'at home'.
Mum has improved mentally and is a lot brighter after the care she has been given and she has gained weight, although her short term memory is still not as it should be after the stroke.
The accommodation is comfortable, clean and bright and the staff not only provide excellent care for residents, but also treat visitors with a real warmth that makes you feel valued.
Excellent
Thank you for taking the time to complete a review for Stones Place. It is so reassuring to know that your experience with us has been a positive one. Seeing the improvement in your mother has been such a rewarding thing for the team to have been involved with and we are so proud of the progress that she has made. She has been a joy and we will miss her when she returns home.
Very friendly, caring, attentive staff in a safe and welcoming environment. Good food and lovely surroundings.
It was lovely to see that you enjoyed your short stay with us. We look forward to seeing you when you return. Thank you from all the team at Stones Place.
My experience of Janet in your care is that she feels secure and well cared for, the staff are kind to her and assist her when necessary. She enjoys her meals and the activities she can join in with. I always find her clean well dressed and the laundry service is very good. My experience of you all is helpful, friendly and welcoming always happy to answer any questions. Can I take Kevin home please? Thank you.
Only complaint too long answering emergency button.
I have noted: she is listened to (as are relatives!)
She is well fed and kept hydrated (meals are tasty and beautifully cooked - I have sampled them)
Her meds are administered on time in a respectful way.
Her room is clean, warm and well-maintained with a lovely aspect from her large window.
Communal rooms are bright and spacious, and the regular (daily) activities are stimulating and varied.
Staff are welcoming, kind and respectful.
Thank you for your kind words, the team at Stones Place are invested in ensuring the people that live with us receive the best standard of care in line with the Values of MHA and Living Later Life Well. I am so happy to see that we are getting it right.

I cannot speak highly enough of the exceptional care provided at this home. From the moment you walk through the door, you're met with warmth and professionalism. The staff treat residents with dignity and patience. Activities are varied and engaging, ensuring residents feel stimulated.
Thank you for your kind review, it is reassuring to know that you feel you are welcomed to the home in such a warm and professional way. Our team are encouraged to live the values of MHA and this is reflected in the way that care is delivered and how we interact with everyone that visits Stones...
Mum was in isolation, staff caring and supportive and kind to the residents and also great support to the family with their needs too! Xmas day was lovely and all the activities beforehand. Hard work for the staff but enjoyable for residents and the family. Made Xmas exciting for all plus my grandchildren, who are made welcome!
Thank you so much for taking the time to review Stones Place. It is so good to know that you are happy with the care that we provide, and I am thrilled to know that you enjoyed Christmas in the home as much as we do. We are always happy to welcome families into the Home especially the little ones.
The management and staff provide a friendly warm welcoming environment for resident and family we find the culture caring and supportive with many things to do for residents.
Thank you so much for kind review, I am so happy to hear that your experience with us is a positive one. Here at Stones Place we ensure that the MHA Values are reflected in the way that we welcome and care for the residents and support their families. Your mother-in-law is a lovely lady and it is a pleasure to have her here with us.
My mum went to Stones Place for respite in the summer, and five months later is still there. She enjoyed it so much she didn't want to go home. She's very settled, well cared for and has others to talk to and activities to keep her busy,
Thank you for taking the time to review Stones Place, we are so happy that your mother decided to stay, she has settled into home life well and has made some lovely friendships. She is a pleasure to have with us and I will ensure that your kind words are shared with the team.
Always greeted with smiles. Very friendly. The care given to my mother is excellent. There is always something for the residents to do regarding activities. Nothing is too much trouble. Such kind staff.
Thank you for your lovely review. I will make sure that I share this with the wider team. I am happy to see you feel that your mother is treated with dignity and respect, this is a value of MHA that we as a team encourage and it is good to see that it is recognised. It is always lovely to see you when you visit, please do let me know if there is anything that we could do to improve.
My mother-in-law has been at this house for over 4 years. She is approaching 98 years of age. She has always received excellent care and is very happy here.
Thank you for your kind review, your mother-in-law is a big part of the Stones Place family, she is a joy to look after we love her wit and humour and she keeps us on our toes. If you feel that we could improve on a few things please do come and speak to me and I will be happy to listen to any idea that you may have.
At the age of 96, my mother finally took the step of going into care. From her first visit she felt that Stone's Place was right for her; it was superbly clean with wonderful facilities and the staff were most welcoming. Now, three months on, my mother has settled really well. She tells me that she cannot fault the home nor the staff - "it is like living in a hotel" she says!! The food is excellent and she takes part in most, if not all, the activities - within the home and out. From my point of view, I am delighted to see that my mother has totally immersed herself in her new environment. At 96 it cannot have been easy for her, but everything about Stone's Place has made her transition into care so much easier. So, well done to Emma, Bev and all the staff at Stone's Place, Lincoln. I would highly recommend it to anyone.
Thank you for your lovely review of Stones Place. It is so reassuring to know that we are getting it right. Your mother is an absolute pleasure to have in the home, and I am so happy that she chose to live at Stones Place.
My first impression when I walked through the door was the friendliness of all the staff that I encountered and it wasn't a one off, staff continue to be friendly and smile every time I come to visit. I noticed that Stones was homely and lovely and clean and didn't smell. Then I saw the little Chapel and I knew straight away that this was the place for mum and I haven't been wrong! It took a while for her to settle in as she couldn't accept that she would be staying but she now enjoys it especially singing hymns in the Chapel and armchair exercises.
I have to thank the Assistant Manager for her support at a time when I was battling the guilt of having to leave mum there. It has been a success story and I am so pleased I chose Stones Place for her.
Thank you for your lovely review of Stones Place. I will ensure that this is shared with the staff team. It's been lovely to see your Mum thrive in the environment and a making new friends and new memories. It's nice to know that we are making a difference and supporting our residents to live later live well.
Mum loved it immediately as well and decided to book in for respite. After only a couple of days she has decided to become a full time resident! The staff are exceptional, everyone is so kind, helpful and pleasant. It is extremely well run. A safe, caring environment for mum.
I really can't thank all the staff enough for how they've helped mum settle and feel welcome, nothing is ever too much trouble. It is perfection. I never knew homes like Stones Place existed till I found it!
Thank You so much for your kind words, I will ensure that I share this with the team that make Stones Place such a warm and caring place for all that come through our doors. I am so happy that your mother chose to come and stay with us, she is an absolute pleasure to be around, and I know that she is content with her new home because she tells me every time I see her.
What has really impressed me is how the management sets the tone, they clearly muck in with what needs to be done, whether it is helping out in the dining room, or helping residents to speak with their family members over the phone. The food is good and there is a varied set of activities, which includes trips out to local amenities. I looked at 10 different homes and this home is by far the best. Also, you don't have to be a Methodist (or even a believer) to be a resident, you can take or leave the Methodism and have as much or as little as that as you wish. Like I said, I would live there. I feel very confident in the care that my mum receives. Highly recommended.
Thank you for taking the time to review Stones Place and having such a positive overview of the services and care that we provide. Your mum is a very welcome addition to the Stones Place family and it is such a joy to see her joining in with all the varied activities in the home. We also look...
After living on her own for nearly twenty years moving into a care home was a huge change for my mother. The staff at Stones Place were very understanding and patient. They encouraged but didn't force my mother to join the wide variety of activities available. Three months later and mother wouldn't want to go back to living on her own. She is now part of the wonderful community at Stones place. The staff are very friendly and supportive. Mother has made some friends. Now I no longer worry about over medication, falls on the stairs or diet.
Thank You for your review, it is so rewarding to know that not only do we make a difference to the lives of those that choose to come and live with us here at Stones Place but also the families that are able to relax a little knowing that their loved ones are safe and there is someone overseeing...
Two years ago it was necessary for my mother to move to a nursing home. It was not an easy decision by any means. However, the care and compassion that has been shown to my mother every single day has been heart-warming. She is a private persona and this has been taken into account in every way. When family visit we are all greeted with smiles and tea and biscuits and made to feel that we are part of this very comforting and warm home. We are grateful.
Thank you for your lovely comments about Stones Place. It is reassuring to know that we are "getting it right". Your mother is a lovely lady, and it is so good to see her joining in with various programmes of activities in the home. We also love that she has such a supportive family that are regular faces here in the home.
My Mother has been a resident at Stones Place for nearly 7 years. Previous to that she attended day-care at Stones Place when this was available. During her stay, she has received exceptional care. The staff are always attentive, supportive, and caring. Now that the renovation has been completed the home is clean, well decorated, and given a very good first impression on the entrance. I believe it to be one of the very best care homes in the area. This was reiterated at the Xmas party when I met new families who had chosen Stones Place over many others they had visited.
Thank you so much for your kind words. Your Mother is an absolute joy to be around, and I think that she genuinely cares for us as much as we care for her. The residents who live at Stones Place make the home the caring and inclusive home that it is, and we think ourselves fortunate to have the...
I promised my mother I wouldn't let her move anywhere I wouldn't live myself.
I looked at lots of homes. Then I found Stones Place.
My mum has gone home. The staff, the attention to detail, the care, the warmth and the welcome.
Mum is safe and happy. I can relax. Thank you.

Our aunt has been a resident for over 3 months. She is happy, has no worries, has settled well and made friends. The home is spacious, calm and peaceful. Residents are encouraged to say what they want and their wishes are respected. The home is excellent in providing activities and outings. The staff are lovely and helpful and the residents are never rushed.
Thank you so much for your lovely review of Stones Place and the team that works here. Your aunt is a wonderful lady and an absolute pleasure to be around. Here at Stones Place, we strive to deliver a wide range of activities, and we are always open to suggestions of anything else that people would...
