Over all time Stones Place has 75 reviews.
I have spent two lovely weeks at Stones Place. I was rather apprehensive at first but enjoyed every moment. Very kind considerate staff. My room was tastefully decorated. The food was excellent with a very varied menu. A beautiful house and grounds. I am looking forward to my next stay in September.
Very caring, friendly staff.
Nice atmosphere.
My father's very happy.
Thank you for your review; we love having your father at Stones Place. He is an absolute pleasure to be around and always makes the team and his friends smile with his little quips. It is reassuring to know that you are happy with the service we provide here at the home. If there is anything more...
The building is clean, the food is good, and there are plenty of activities, but above all, the staff are extremely caring and are all willing to go the extra mile for the residents and their visitors. This place exceeds my expectations in every way.
Thank you for your kind review; it is an absolute pleasure to have your mother with us in the home, and I am delighted to know that this is a positive experience for you at what must be such a difficult time for you as a family. I am happy that we are able to support you, and please do let us know if there is anything else that we can do.
The staff have been friendly, accommodating and welcoming from the start! I have heard many good things regarding Stone Place, and it had lived up to those good reviews.
The carers are such warm, thoughtful and friendly professionals. The team make huge efforts to make events memorable for the residents and special for their families. The environment is kept spotlessly clean and tidy, and the food is of good quality and variety. The lady does a great range of activities for residents, and there is a lovely feel to the whole place.
The care my mother received at Stones was outstanding. She was very unhappy to try respite stay but settled very quickly due to the compassionate and skilful staff and the attitudes of everyone inclined. Full marks also to the domestic staff and the chef - meals beautifully presented and tasty. Kevin, the Italian Greyhound, is a wonderful bonus! Thank you all so much.
My mum sadly passed away in Stones Place last week. The care the staff gave to my mum in the last year was absolutely amazing. Every member of the staff truly obviously loved their job and the residents. I have no words to express my gratitude on the day Mum passed, and they have been as kind to me as they have been to Mum in the past year. It was a privilege for me to be part of the home, and I hope to continue to visit.
Thank you so much for taking the time to review Stones Place. It is always so wonderful to hear that we have been able to provide a positive experience at such a difficult time. Here at Stones Place, we try to provide a warm and caring environment that can feel like an extension of your family. I...
Well, on the morning of her birthday, the staff came in with a flowerhead dress that lit up and a sash that said queen for the day and birthday cards from the morning post. Breakfast and lunch were great, Mum loved it. Then there was the afternoon tea with even more surprises with cards and presents, Mum got emotional, but she loved her day. Massive thank you to all the staff at Stones Place.
Thank you for your lovely review. Everyone at Stones Place enjoyed spending the day celebrating your Mum's 104th Birthday, and I am so pleased that you were able to join in with the celebrations.
My mother has been a resident with Stones Place for four months now, and since her stay, has shown so much improvement in her mobility, memory and overall well-being. I cannot say enough praise for all the staff's kindness and support for her and for keeping her dignity at all times. She has been given so much motivation throughout her stay, which I'm sure has contributed to her ongoing improvement. Meal times are always something to look forward to. Thank you!
Thank you for your review of Stones Place; we value everyone’s feedback as it lets us know that we are maintaining the high standards that we pride ourselves in. Your mother is an absolute joy and is a very welcome addition to the Stones Place family.
All the staff are dedicated to ensuring that the residents are entertained and cared for to a high standard. During the "lockdown", the staff went above and beyond to keep the residents interested and occupied and to feel like part of one big family. As we emerge out of these restrictions and trips and the use of 3rd party entertainment becomes more regular, the happy family atmosphere is wonderful to see.
Thank you for taking the time to leave a review for us. We do pride ourselves on being "one big happy family" and also creating a friendly, homely atmosphere; so it's nice to hear this feedback and that you have had a positive experience.
I was looked after very well for my two weeks of respite care.
Thank you for taking the time to leave a review for us. We are glad to hear you enjoyed your two weeks of respite care with us, and we hope to see you again in the future.
Dad was made very welcome and was looked after extremely well. He enjoyed taking part in the activities that were arranged, even leading some at times to help out. As a family member, I was greeted warmly on my visit and made to feel welcome. Top drawer care.
Extremely friendly and welcoming staff. Home in a lovely setting with various places to sit and enjoy the area.
Thank you for taking the time to leave a review for us here at Stones Place. I am so pleased that you are able to leave such positive feedback about our home and the people that work here. If you would like to discuss activities and food/drink and have any suggestions of things that your mother would enjoy, please do let us know as we are always open to suggestions.
My mum (92) lives with us, and I booked her into Stones Place for a short respite while my husband and I attended a wedding and visited family. This was her third stay, and again, Mum reports being so well cared for. Mum was a little upset one day, and the assistant manager went out of her way to comfort Mum, which she really appreciated. Mum says that the whole team work so well together to provide a supportive and caring environment and to meet the many different needs of the residents. It means I am able to relax while away from home, assured Mum will be receiving the support and care she needs
Thank you so much for taking the time to give feedback on your mother's recent respite stay at Stones Place. We really do look forward to her coming to stay with us; she is a breath of fresh air. I am so pleased that you are feeling the benefit of respite stays that we offer here, and it really is...
My father is in Stones Place for respite care for three weeks. I have only observed his care for 24 hours, but have been improved by the friendly ambience, the gardens and overall facilities. My father enjoys the food and was pleased to receive his family's gazette with photos and messages from the family (this is an excellent innovation). His room is comfortable with a lovely view of the gardens. The methodist link and Christian ethic and worship opportunities are important to Dad.
Thank you so much for your lovely review of Stones Place. I am so pleased that we were able to offer a respite stay for your father; he really has been an absolute pleasure to have with us, and I look forward to him returning to stay with us in the future. I am so pleased that you have used the...
Had a three-week respite break and found all the staff to be incredibly helpful, kind and considerate, and nothing was too much trouble. The other residents were very welcoming. The room was lovely, and the food was really fantastic. Would love to have stayed longer.
Thank you for your very kind review All the team here at Stones Place really do strive to ensure we work to our values, so I’m very pleased that this is reflected in your comments. I will ensure they are passed on to the whole team. It was a pleasure to have you stay with us, and we and the...
My experience of staying at Stones Place was absolutely lovely. Staff always very pleasant and very hard working; nothing too much trouble. The food was good also, most home cooking and of course, the leadership was excellent. I have no faults at all.
Thank you for your lovely review of our home. I am so pleased that you enjoyed your stay with us, and we look forward to seeing you again when you come and stay in November. I have noticed that activities may not have been all that you would have liked them to be. I will be happy to discuss this with you when I see you next, and we can organise something that you would like to take part in.
It’s never an easy task convincing elderly parents that it’s time to move to a safer place where all their needs will be cared for, to give up their home, independence, routines and in our case being separated from each other. Our task of finding the right home was so complicated due to Covid-19. However, after visiting many care homes in the area Stones Place was the only one that when we walked through the front door we sensed this was the place where our father would be well cared for and happy. The home is beautifully presented with spacious community areas, nice en-suite bedrooms, lovely gardens, excellent food and daily activities. The home is run in a very professional manner and all the staff are so approachable and helpful. Our father is gradually adjusting to his new home with the full support of the caring team. I would not hesitate in recommending this home to you.
Thank you for your kind review. I am so happy that we were able to help at what has been a difficult and challenging time. Although you have not been able to see the whole home due to COVID-19 restrictions, I appreciate you taking the time to write such lovely things about us. Your father is a...
After six very happy years at Stones Place, Mum passed away peacefully at the end of March, 104 years old. During those six years, Stones Place had made Mum, my wife and I, feel very much part of “their family”. This really shone through during her final weeks. My wife and I were allowed to spend unlimited time with Mum, and so we sat with her, talking to her and reading to her, nearly all day every day. These were very precious times. We saw first hand the love the staff had for Mum; their care and compassion for all three of us was outstanding. A lasting memory came on the day of the funeral. The cortege drove into Stones Place car park in order for Mum to bid her final farewell. When we arrived, the management team and staff were stood information on the front steps, along with the soft toy lamb that Mum had adopted! My wife and I will never forget that. A wonderful Home, and truly wonderful people, “our family”, who helped see us through a very sad and emotional time.
Thank you for this very kind review. Your mother was and always will be a very important part of the Stones Place “family”; she was an absolute joy to be around and is sadly missed by us all. She pops up in conversation most days and her sheep is on guard at the front door. Here at Stones Place,...
My father was cared for wonderfully by the staff at Stones Place during a very difficult time both for him, for us and for themselves as the world struggled with Covid-19. The staff were brilliant, treating him with great care, dignity, compassion and enriched his last weeks with humour, stability and a feeling of love that, as a family, we were not able to easily give him during lockdown. He didn't live at Stones Place long, but once he was there, he didn't want to be moved anywhere else to end his final days. Thank you to all the staff who looked after him and ensured his phone was within reach, he had soup in the middle of the night if he asked for it, and he had everything he needed to make him comfortable when he passed away.
Thank you for your review; it really is very kind that you took the time to complete this. Your father really was a lovely gentleman and an absolute pleasure to care for. Please come and see us when we are able to accept visitors back into the home and hopefully give you the hugs that we were not able to give you when needed them most. With love from us all at Stones Place.
