All staff are very helpful and accommodating. All questions answered and suggestions taken on board. The room is very clean and warm, and the view to the garden is fabulous. Could not ask for anything more of the team.

I was in a very upset state of mind looking after my dad at home by myself. The senior team were extremely helpful with me getting my dad settled in Woodlands Court, first respite then permanently. Their care and compassion towards me and my dad were great. I just feel the home is a little dated, but this does not lessen their care.

Whilst my wife was in your care we found the bedroom warm and pleasant at all times with a view of the garden and wildlife. The warmth love and attention by all staff was first class and for this, I want to say many thanks.

My aunt has been in this care home for over seven years and her care has been wonderful. I find the staff very friendly, helpful and caring. If I want to know anything I can ask anything. I certainly would not move her anywhere else.

My partner is a very poorly and vulnerable gentleman in Woodlands Court (nursing wing). He has been a resident for three years having been moved from another home compulsorily closed down by the CQC. The staff, every single member, form a very close-knit community and before/throughout the pandemic have gone above and beyond their calling to keep our loved ones safe. They have (and do) treat my partner with the utmost care and respect, maintaining his dignity at all times. I feel very included in this blanket of warmth that enfolds us.

My mum was provided with fast track/ palliative care for end of life care by the NHS. I was given a choice of 5 homes. I chose Woodlands Court for several reasons:- their CQC rating, the attitude of the staff nurse who showed me around (without an appointment) and the location and facilities. My instincts of 'first impression' was followed up by the care, consideration and kindness my mum and her family were treated with. Mum, unfortunately, died on 22.12.18 with her family with her and I am very grateful to Woodland Court staff for their approach to her last 3 weeks.

On the 12th October, my mum was seen by a GP and we were told that "she only had a few hours left." My sister had come down from East Yorkshire. Every day until she finally passed away (16-10-18). My sister stayed at the home and was given the use of an empty room near our mum. The staff and management told us to help ourselves to tea, coffee and food and were really supportive during these stressful and sad days. We can't praise them enough and even though they said "they were just doing their job," it meant so much to us all.

Although my mother was with you for just a week, the care and attention she received was of the highest quality we could wish for her. The staff were very friendly towards myself and my wife whenever we visited.

I'm sure that Woodlands Court is the best care home in the area! Until my recent retirement, I was CEO of a multi-award-winning international company. I understand the hard behind-the-scenes work required to provide such an excellent facility and services. My dad needed full-time care. I researched and assessed 6 care homes and none came close to the standards of Woodlands. Staff are the most important aspect of any business and I am in awe of each and every member of the team at Woodlands Court. Excellence was evident from everybody who cared for my dad. Exceeding the requirement is the norm for these cheerful, diligent and exceptional people who constantly demonstrated that nothing was too much trouble. Spotless, well kept, bright and superbly equipped facilities: an outward sign of the immaculate underpinning management ethos. Please reward this wonderful care home by entrusting your loved family member to their care. Thank you Woodlands for every good day that you gave to my dad!

I never heard a cross word. The staff were always kind and caring. They have a difficult job and it was done with dignity.

My mum was cared for very well and I was especially touched by the care when she was dying and for the staffs support to me and mum at such a difficult time.

My father came to Woodlands Court in 2012 after a traumatic episode in hospital. We were relieved to find somewhere for him to live that was supportive and caring. Throughout my father's 5 years at Woodlands Court I had reason to be grateful to all the staff who unfailingly supported and cared for my father through some very difficult times. Their care meant that my father felt safe and avoided hospital admission on many occasions. I have great respect and admiration for the managers, nurses, care staff, cooks and cleaners.

My mum is very happy at Woodlands Court and it was her choice to be there when it became impossible to live at home. She had several post-hospital stays previously.
Recently moved from the house to the bungalows which is lovely. Her room looks out onto the garden and they have hung her family photographs on the walls.

The staff are very friendly and helpful. October 2017 My mum passed away peacefully at Woodlands Court. The staff were very kind and helpful. They have liaised with the coroner and GP making it less painful to achieve results.

Reply from Amanda Perrins, Registered Manager at Woodlands Court

Thank you for your kind comments, they are invaluable to the team who worked hard on a daily basis to care for your mum before she passed away. Your mum was a popular member of our Woodlands family who is sadly missed by our team and service users who became her friends.

A difficult time here was facilitated by the amazing staff. Every member of the team from the manageress to the cleaning ladies were caring, compassionate and helpful. The food was home cooked on site and was varied, appealing and nutritious. Very important. We certainly recommend this home.
