I visited my mother announced on the 9th and 10th of this month. My overall impression on arrival at around 6 pm was very positive. Meet and greet by staff was very friendly, there was a lack of care home "aura", it was clean, bright and welcoming. My mother looked better than she has done for ages, and for her age, mentally she was in a good place. She said she was very happy there and regarded staff as "family".

Sunday lunch arrived whilst I was there, and congratulations to the cooking staff, the quality and quantity of the freshly cooked food was superb. I live in Spain and having seen where my mother is being looked after, I do not have to worry anymore. Many, many thanks.

After making the difficult decision to put my mother into a care home, I know that she is now safe and well cared for. She is always very well presented and we, as a family, are always welcomed warmly. The staff are all very happy and cheerful and treat every resident with care and dignity.

I visited my nan today for the second time since she arrived at Linden Manor and the improvements in her are clear to see. This can only be put down to the level of care and support she receives from the staff and although it was very tough initially to see her so emotional, I am so pleased she is at Linden House as we are starting to see her old personality coming back. Thank you.

The staff are all very friendly and have the best interests of the residents at heart.
Their training equips them for dealing with residents that can sometimes be difficult with the varied illnesses of old age.

Overall, I have been very satisfied with the care my father has received and I would recommend Linden Manor to anyone who is considering a care home for a relative.

I have found the staff at all times, very helpful, very polite and very honest.
Nothing is too much trouble for any of them. They always attend to things promptly.

They are very hospitable in everything they do. There is always the offer of tea or coffee for visitors as well as residents. The home is always clean and tidy with a very happy atmosphere.

My mum was a respite service user at Linden Manor for a week in November and I visited on a couple of occasions to organise the respite care and found all the staff very welcoming, caring and professional. The home itself is an impressive building and felt warm, homely and very clean. Mum was made to feel welcome and I was impressed with how the staff responded to requests for Mum's needs.

When we collected her, she was interacting with other residents and appeared to be happy. In addition, we were given printed photographs showing her smiling and enjoying the activities which were very welcome and showed that she was being well cared for.

My Grandma has been at Linden Manor for a little less than a year and it appears the service she receives is nothing short of exceptional. I live in British Columbia, Canada while my parents live in Ontario, Canada so it makes it very challenging to see my Grandma on a regular basis. Something that Linden Manor have done for my family since the time she moved in has been to print pictures that we send through e-mail, provide them to her and then send us pictures of my grandma with the printed pictures in her hand, showing the love and joy she has with seeing them. This may seem like a small gesture but for me, it means a great deal as printing pictures here and sending them in the post can take weeks to arrive and can at times get lost. The manager has been particularly helpful in granting my many requests for pictures to be printed and provided and it's been very special to me to see the joy it brings. Thank you to all the staff that help with taking care of my Grandma.

Linden Manor care home is having an upgrade looking lovely. My mother moved in, was on top floor now moved to ground floor and happier, she is very well looked after and enjoys the activities that are offered, not that mum can remember what she has done, but to help this plenty of photos are taken for looking at after and so family can also see what mum has been doing.
When mum was poorly she was looked after very well and they also informed us straight away, the staff are so good to mum.
Knowing that your loved one is in a safe secure place and meeting all of mum's needs, with a good diet and personal to my mum, with being treated with dignity and equality is a lot off my mind.

Linden Manor staff thank you.

The staff are very good to me. They are kind and treat me with dignity. I am immobile and they are always here to help me. The food is good and they always ask what I would like. They keep me looking clean and tidy. They also give me a manicure and nail polish to make me feel good. I also talk with the other residents. My room is very good. I really like being here, it is now my home and my family come to see me.

Meet the Team (1)

Michele (Shelley) Pirie
Michele (Shelley) PirieJob Title:Registered ManagerJoined: 2013

I began work in a nursing home and really enjoyed it, but took time off to bring up my family. I began working for Regal Care in 2013. I started off as a carer 2 nights a week as I was a single mother with a young child. I was asked to join the day team and was promoted to a senior position after around 6 months. I enjoyed the role, especially the medication side, and after 4 years, I was asked to go to our sister home and help out, which I did and really enjoyed it, so I requested a transfer. I was then promoted to head of care and enjoyed the role very much, attending the Gold standard framework training and autism training. These are just a couple of examples.

I really like the fact that this company enables me to gain more and more knowledge regarding my job while also being understanding of the fact that I have a young child.

After 4 years at the sister home, I was asked to return to Linden Manor as the Deputy Manager, which I agreed to, and after 2 years became the registered manager. It makes me feel fulfilled in my role when I see how happy and relaxed the residents are. My motto to my staff is this may be where we work, but it is the resident's home. My aim is to ensure that every individual who comes into Linden Manor receives outstanding care.
