When I first visited Linden Manor I found the entrance hall dark and depressing but when I was shown into the lounge what a lovely surprise, it was light and airy and al the residents seemed content. I saw a resident sitting at the breakfast table sitting at the breakfast table (11.00 am) being shaved, did not think that was treating resident with dignity. I have not visited at meal times so cannot comment on the food, but my friend says he enjoys the meals. I have always been made welcome by the staff and offered a drink.

I think this care home is very good everybody is very friendly and the staff are very caring. The home is also very clean and tidy. The residents seem very happy here. The food is excellent and the home is very well maintained and if I had to go into a home I would be happy with Linden Manor.

They look after my Mother well. She has Altzheimers and they are very good with her and spend time talking to her and helping her through the day. They keep her clean and looking good. I am more than pleased with the home and all the staff. Mum is immobile now and sings all the time but they are always there to help her. The home is clean and tidy and the food is good, always happy here and make us feel at home.

My mum has been in this home for a few weeks now. Whilst most of the staff are ok, it's a sad fact that they are severely understaffed. They have good intentions when they say they are going to do something and it never gets done because of demand of the residents. Thankfully my mum is coming back home where she will be much more attended to. They broke my mum's new TV and no-one wants to claim responsibility. On the whole, they try, but I suppose when there is simply not enough staff it's impossible to keep up a good a standard. They are dementia patients so they need a bit of time, but the residents don't get the attention they need, and normal patients are having to mix with them, this makes for a bit of tension with the dementia residents. Sad situation, but most of the staff do their best to cope.

Genuine and caring staff who made my Aunt's stay as enjoyable as possible and supported emotional as well as physical needs.

Staff always friendly, welcoming and helpful when visiting. Management were invaluable in helping out with enquiries about additional issues and being supportive. There were tears all round on departure! Thank you!!

The staff at Linden Manor Care Home were exceptional. Nothing was too much trouble for them. We were always greeted with a hello and a smile and made to feel welcome, always offered a drink. It was very clean and no smells. I have been in a couple of other care homes that are newer that Linden Manor and believe me, this home and the staff knock the spots off them! It may be an old building but it is brilliant. I would recommend it any time.

Michele (Shelley) Pirie
Michele (Shelley) PirieJob Title:Registered ManagerJoined: 2013

I began work in a nursing home and really enjoyed it, but took time off to bring up my family. I began working for Regal Care in 2013. I started off as a carer 2 nights a week as I was a single mother with a young child. I was asked to join the day team and was promoted to a senior position after around 6 months. I enjoyed the role, especially the medication side, and after 4 years, I was asked to go to our sister home and help out, which I did and really enjoyed it, so I requested a transfer. I was then promoted to head of care and enjoyed the role very much, attending the Gold standard framework training and autism training. These are just a couple of examples.

I really like the fact that this company enables me to gain more and more knowledge regarding my job while also being understanding of the fact that I have a young child.

After 4 years at the sister home, I was asked to return to Linden Manor as the Deputy Manager, which I agreed to, and after 2 years became the registered manager. It makes me feel fulfilled in my role when I see how happy and relaxed the residents are. My motto to my staff is this may be where we work, but it is the resident's home. My aim is to ensure that every individual who comes into Linden Manor receives outstanding care.
