Thank you for taking the time to review and your kind feedback it is appreciated
The fact that the staff are there for a long time reflects on their loyalty and commitment to their work. Also what I like is at the end of the day, the manager comes to say 'cheerio' to the residents in their room.
Thank you for you lovely review and feedback, it is appreciated.
Already had a friend in here a few years ago so Mum knew the home well. This has definitely helped and she seems very happy.
Thanks for the kind review, happy that mum chose to be with us.
Each time I visit I am welcomed warmly with an offer of a drink. The home looks clean and homely. My sister-in-law is happy and always clean and looks cared for. The manager, if present, always comes and speaks. All staff are polite and ready to discuss any issues.
Thank you for your kind review, I will pass it on to the team.
They are an excellent dedicated team. They treat the clients as family. Always friendly and welcoming, always ready to communicate. If I required a care home it's the one I would choose.
Thank you for your kind review, the carers will be pleased.
Having cared for my father until he died and continuing to care for my mother, I have found the staff at Wendleberrie House to be kind and supportive, often going the extra mile. The environment is clean, safe, and calm and visitors are welcomed and accommodated whenever they choose to visit. I feel very lucky that my parents were offered residency at Wendleberrie.
Thank you for taking the time to provide your review.
My mum was initially admitted for rehab following hospital treatment and it soon became clear that she needed the full-time care that Wendleberrie staff provided so well and with such empathy and kindness.
Thank you for your lovely review, it is appreciated.
My mother is currently at Wendleberrie House and has been for the last 2 years. The staff are very caring and supportive to my mother. They are always very supportive and helpful to all of our family.
Thank you for your kind review, it is appreciated.
Wendleberrie House have been very good with my grandfather, who is a long-term resident in the home. They are attentive and always communicate any problems to me. The standard of care is very high and I would recommend the home to others.
Thank you for your kind words and review, it is appreciated.
We are always made welcome with a cup of tea and biscuits on our visits!
Thank you for your kind review, it is appreciated. See you soon.
My mother was admitted to Wendleberrie house nearly eighteen months ago after her dementia had progressed to a level where she was no longer able to live independently. The staff have been extremely supportive and attentive and she has settled in well. After a lengthy stay in hospital she had lost a lot of weight. The team at Wendleberrie took a great deal of time to understand her diet, what she liked and what she didn't, and she is now a very healthy weight. She has since suffered a stroke and the staff were superb in quickly getting her transferred to a local hospital where she received excellent treatment and she is receiving further treatment for her mobility by a community team that visit Wendleberrie. Wendleberrie is a small care home so may lack the facilities of larger homes. The rooms are small, but well-appointed with en suite bathrooms. Activities are organised by community teams that visit the home and the staff of Wendleberrie. My mother really enjoys music activities.
Thank you for your review, it is appreciated and will pass onto the rest of the team.
We are happy with this home because it is very homely. I like the idea that we can personalise the room. The staff are all friendly and helpful and welcoming. They always offer us a drink when we visit and are willing to assist when asked.
Thank you for your review, it is appreciated, we pride ourselves on offering a homely environment, glad to see it shows.
My mother had been in the care home for 27 months. Thought her changing needs, even when at the most challenging symptoms of dementia, were met. The past year was particularly difficult but Wendleberrie staff and management went above and beyond our expectations. Mum's decline and needs were always met, her treatment was tweaked, diet adjusted and they managed to avoid hospital admissions which were particularly distressing for Mum. She passed away in December, having been respectfully and lovingly cared for by these amazing people, from whom I learned the meaning of true care.
Thank you for your lovely review and kind words, we are grateful to have known Mum and to have the support from you and the family for the time we cared for her.
Most importantly, I know she is safe and well cared for at Wendleberrie House.
Thanks for your kind review and support, it is appreciated.
Wendleberrie is like a big family home. The residents usually sit together in the lounge area which is good for Mum as she was very lonely living alone at home before. The meals are varied and it always smells amazing when I go to visit. Mum is completely blind but is looked after so well by the amazing staff. They have daily activities to keep residents entertained- Mum's favourite is bingo.
The rooms are immaculate and always nicely presented. We tried Mum out for a trial period to see how she settled in and made her permanent after we'd seen how great the care was.
Mum has made friends there and has a routine which is facilitated by the wonderful staff there.
Thanks for the lovely review, we're glad Mum settled in and has become part of the Wendleberrie family.
The food provided is good with a varied choice and portions ample.
Some entertainment is provided and activities if you wish to join in.
I feel it is also a very safe place to be.
Thank you for your kind words and taking the time to review.
My sister has been well looked after by very caring and dedicated staff. They treat her with great affection and respect and have responded to her changing needs over a period of many years.
Thank you for your review, your comments are appreciated.
It's a very nice home, everyone is so friendly and helpful I would definitely recommend it. The home is always nice and clean. The residents are well looked after. Staff I will take their time with the residents to make sure residents have what they need. And I always feel very welcome each time I go there. Like I said I would recommend this home. It feels very homely.
Thank you for taking the time to review and your lovely comments glad you feel welcomed.
Some aspects need to be overhauled food okay but small helpings, regularly having to buy pads as they were forgotten to be ordered. Buy her toiletries, family provide food stuff as only the necessary supplied (take it or leave it). Day staff are generally okay but one or two have an unpleasant attitude if they feel like it. Night staff are a bit rough, with bruises on arms etc. Mannerisms are a lot to be desired by these, sometimes the room is a bit colder than it should be.
Thank you for your review, we are always approachable and encourage residents, their families and friends to voice any concerns they have to management, like you have done previously over the years. There are some factual inaccuracies regarding the comments made, if possible I would like to arrange a meeting to clarify please.
Staff are always helpful, accommodating and kind to residents and visitors alike. There is a very comfortable and homely atmosphere. We always feel welcome and reassured that my aunty is well cared for. This is the nicest care home that we have ever visited.
Thank you for your feedback, it is lovely to hear you feel this way.
