My mum's health has deteriorated greatly since Christmas and she has received excellent care from the Annesley Lodge care staff. They have been very encouraging, thoughtful and caring. I have been kept informed about mum's health at all times. Due to covid 19, it has been a very difficult time for the care home but they have done their very best to arrange visiting for me to see mum due to her very frail condition.
Nothing too much trouble for the staff.
I cannot praise the management and staff enough for all their hard work this past 12-months. I have been updated throughout, and my mum has been very well looked after. The staff are absolutely brilliant, and I cannot thank them enough.
Superb care provided by Annersley Lodge. I cannot praise the staff highly enough - they are fabulous. Thank you with all my heart.
The care provided to my father has been excellent, the staff are caring and compassionate and go the extra mile for residents. The home provides entertainment, very good food and was a lovely atmosphere.
I've had an extremely positive experience since the initial meeting which was friendly, welcoming and professional. Since my father has been a resident any personal issues regarding his care have been addressed in a timely and efficient manner from happy, caring and attentive staff. He is very happy with the food and I am confident all my father's needs are being met.
Mum is being well looked after and is settling in nicely. The staff are excellent and extremely hard working. I would not hesitate to recommend Annesley Lodge.
The home seems to have gone downhill since the stand-in manager left and the new manager took charge. There is a lack of staff on the ground at weekends and no manager. On two occasions a woman was sat in her own mess until I intervened it's a lack of staff for toileting. The home's carpets and chairs are filthy and there are no activities at all at weekends. It needs staff attending service users instead of spending all their time on paperwork.
Thank you for taking the time to review Annesley Lodge. We have contacted you as we would welcome the opportunity to clarify and discuss the points raised in person. Our recent CQC report commented positively on our staff, management and home environment.
The home seems to have gone downhill again since the stand-in manager has been replaced by a full-time manager. There's a lack of staff at weekends and no managers in sight. There are unclean chairs and carpets, minimal staff and no activities happening at weekends that I can see. Service users struggle to get staff for toileting or anything else. Needs a complete overall.

Lovely care home always kept well informed and treated with respect on the time I visit (twice daily) I consider my partner to be a lucky man to be given such care and attention. Thank you to all the staff they are amazing.
Mother is generally well cared for and the majority of staff are very conscientious. All were very concerned when the mother was recently hospitalised. There appear to be slight problems in the relaying of information from one shift to another usually the information is there on file but is not picked up probably due to the pressure of work.
Thank you for taking the time to review Annesley Lodge and we are very pleased that you are extremely likely to recommend our home. We will discuss your comments regarding information sharing with our staff team to ensure that this occurs as smoothly as possible.
Mum is happy and so are we knowing she has 24hour care.
My mother has been in this care home for over 5 years and I think it compares very favourably overall with similar care providers. Have yet to see the effect of new management and carers. My mother's room could do with upgrading especially the lighting. I am slightly disappointed in the activity provision although I see many of the residents have deteriorated through age and health. The carers show inordinate amounts of patience with some residents. Well done and thank you to you all.
Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback on Annesley Lodge and we are pleased that you are likely to recommend our home. We have an ongoing programme of refurbishment and endeavour to provide a range of activities, in which our residents can choose to participate.
The home is always spotless as is mum's room. The care mum receives is great. The staff know and understand the relatives needs well. The acting manager has done a lot to upgrade the home and made changes which have greatly enhanced the place. The atmosphere is always welcoming and I know mum is very happy here.
Mum had been in Annesley Lodge for two years and the standard of care had always been very good. Unfortunately, when a new manager was appointed in 2017 she was uncommunicative, never spoke to mum and clearly, staff were demoralised and not motivated, but they remained very caring and professional to the residents. However, when the temporary manager was appointed recently, she has been excellent and certainly, there were significant improvements. My mother passed away on 4 May and the staff were excellent, very understanding and ensured that mum retained her dignity to the end. Indeed one member of staff sat and held her hand whilst passing.
The recent change in management appears to have improved things, especially staff morale. The gradings given below may not reflect the current situation. May everything continue to improve.
Thank you for taking the time to review Annesley Lodge, where we are pleased you are extremely likely to recommend the home. Through ongoing recruitment and training, we ensure that our staff team provides a high standard of care to our residents.
Lovely good size rooms with en suite, extra bathrooms and toilets in hallways, proper hairdressing salon. Activities everyday. Food was brought out so the resident could view the food before choosing what they wanted and a good choice of quality food. Family welcome to eat with the family member. Lots of snacks and drinks throughout the day. Staff are lovely and a key worker is given to each resident. Nothing seems to be to much trouble. Thank god at last.
