I can say its marvellous all the way around. I wouldn't be anywhere else.
The care that I have received here is second to none. Everyone is so kind and helpful.
Great place. Great staff. Views are wonderful
I would recommend this place to anyone. I am well looked after. I said at the time "if I don't get in Langwith I am going nowhere".
The staff here are great. Anything I want they do and the food I have never seen so much, its wonderful.
I have lived at Langwith for 6 months. The staff are great. Nothing is ever too much trouble. I would definitely recommend this place for short term and long term care.
I love it at Langwith Lodge. The staff take me down to the gazebo to watch the ducks in the lake. It is lovely
My father has been in Langwith Lodge since August 2016. The standard of care is excellent, staff are compassionate, friendly and caring. His needs are catered for in a sympathetic, kind way. All the staff are very approachable and are always there if we have any concerns. The home is run on a very home-like basis and not regimented ie if a patient does not feel like eating at a certain time, it is not an issue, they will provide it when a patient is ready. Overall, a lovely place.
The staff are fantastic they can't do enough for you. The meals are fantastic too, like home cooked food.
Yesterday I told staff I wanted to knit again and they got me needles and wool and cast on for me and I am now knitting again.
I love it here, the staff are great. What a great place to be, anything I want they do for me.
Care staff are worth their weight in gold.
Mum has been well looked after for over 3 years at Langwith Lodge Care Home. All the staff are very good and you can see they care for all the residents. Sometimes I feel another couple of staff could help as they are usually stretched and busy. The activities provided are good, but there are not enough hours for the activity staff. This really needs 2 full-time staff to stimulate over 30 residents. The food is very good. When you want something additional, it is easy to organise and the home does help (such as Mum's birthday parties - 95th next month). All things considered, a good care service.
I love it here at Langwith, it's lovely because I can sit outside watching the fishermen fish on the lake. Nothing is ever too much trouble for the staff.
I've lived here for 6 months now.
Staff are very helpful in every way.
Nothing is too much trouble.
I would definitely recommend it.
The residents loved being out in the countryside. We all went for a lovely meal in a local pub where everyone chose what they wanted to eat and enjoyed a pint of their choice. All staff were very respectful and treated everyone with respect. I would absolutely recommend this home and I have done to friends and family. Langwith Lodge is in a beautiful setting and the home is also beautiful. 5 star.
My parent accidentally tumbled and needed to go to hospital. We were informed immediately. We met at the hospital, a bag had been packed in case a stay for treatment was needed and my mother had been cared for until I took over. On her return to the care home, her every need was catered for and she has made a good recovery in spite of being in her nineties. She feels safe and comfortable there and now calls it her home where everyone is nice and cheerful and ready to help whenever required. It is a great weight off my mind to know that she is alright and being well looked after at all times. When I turn up unexpected, there is no difference - she still is cared for in a lovely, non patronising, cheerful manner. Well done!

Meet the Team (1)

“I began my career approximately 20 years ago as a carer, and have worked tirelessly to progress to where I am now. Now, as Home Manager, I feel that I can inspire and support my team in the same ways that I have been encouraged throughout my professional life. I am so passionate about this line of work, and the people I am able to positively affect in all that I do. I was drawn to a career in care after my father was taken poorly. It was only natural that I would be the one to care for him, and I realised I’d found my calling. My career path hasn’t always been easy, but I have embraced every challenge as I get to know more about the people I care for. I am still learning - I don’t think we ever really stop. This is especially relevant when it comes to caring for people living with dementia.
The more we get to know about the individual, the better the care we can provide. I have implemented this way of thinking throughout my career, ensuring that we look after the person and not the illness. Our residents are so special, and we love to get to know their stories as we care for them.
I have a fantastic team behind me. Each member of staff treats our residents as if they were members of their own family, and that’s how Langwith Lodge is run; we really are one big family."
