Langwith Lodge Residential Home provides dedicated, long-term residential care, respite, daycare and short-term stays.

It is registered to care for people on a residential basis, as well as for people with milder forms of dementia.

We were very pleased with the care of my mum. All of the staff were helpful, caring and friendly and we were fully informed as to my mum's health. We have no complaints whatsoever and would highly recommend this care home.

My mum was a resident for almost a year at Langwith Lodge before her passing away in November, during this time she was cared for by the lovely staff who did an excellent job. Not having previous experience of care homes we didn't know what to expect but we are more than happy and satisfied with Mum's

The staff at Langwith Lodge were very good. From management right through the ranks, all very care aware. My father liked his stay and enjoyed the company of some of the inmates. Langwith Lodge staff are kind, caring friendly and warm. My dad is always well cared for and looked after. He is kept clean and tidy and is always made comfortable.
The staff at Langwith Lodge have learnt my dad's needs over time and they are consistently monitoring my dad to provide whatever he needs.

Mum is fairly new to Langwith and was not happy at first, very agitated and full of blame for me for 'sending' her there. The staff were excellent helping me to understand that it's part of the condition and reassuring me that Mum just needed some time to settle.
She has settled in beautifully and
is now calm and content. She has a lovely room with a toilet and shower. The food is freshly cooked, there's plenty of it and she loves the dinner and hot pudding at midday. She ate like a sparrow at home and was very weak but she eats lots now and looks much better.
Nothing is too much trouble and if mum wanted anything different she could have it no problem.
The manager is extremely understanding and always has time to listen.
Great job guys. Overall, I chose this place for Mum as she's quite close to me but I would 100% choose this place again.

Went to see my aunt and they were looking after her very well.
Nothing is too much trouble for anyone. She says she loves being there.
We are very happy for her. The manageress is lovely and very helpful if we have any questions as are all staff.

Visited Langwith Lodge for my dad's birthday, the manager and staff made us very welcome, we had a small tea laid on for myself, my sister and Dad's neighbour who was with us. The manager and the staff took the time to engage with us about Dad's care, Dad has only been at Langwith for a month but we
feel he has settled well and the home has a very homely feel.

My father and mother-in-law are residents of the home. My father-in-law was unable to walk and was the first to move into the home after being discharged from hospital, his care was outstanding so we had no hesitation in asking if the mother-in-law was able to move in as my wife and I had to move my
mother-in-law from a previous care home because we were unhappy with the care she was receiving, She suffers from dementia we noticed from the first day of arriving she was made very welcome and was taken to the dining room to eat as it was lunchtime. We have been delighted with the care and compassion that they receive from all the staff.

Overall, I feel the carers are very helpful and kind. Nothing seems too much trouble, even though at times, usually when they're busy at meal times etc, it takes a while to answer the buzzer. Having said that, they treat any mishaps that may occur in a kind and thoughtful way.

My husband is happy and contented and tells me he wouldn't like to live in any other care home.
When I visit I am made to feel welcome and there is always a member of staff nearby when needed. I don't have to go and find staff.
When I have a query and I go to the office I am always made welcome and
have any questions answered and dealt with promptly.

The staff are very pleasant, they make you welcome as you enter the doors. They look after residents very well considering some days they are short-staffed.
Can't fault them the way they care for my mum.
The staff need more rewarding in what they do, the hours and the paperwork they have to fill
in for each resident are endless. They need less paperwork and more hours with the residents. As I go visiting they seem to be filling in paperwork.
I give them a medal, they way they look after the residents.

Our dear dad has been in Langwith Lodge Care Home for the last 18 months and we cannot fault any aspect of his care. He has always received the very best of care from all the staff and has been treated with dignity and respect at all times. He loved the food, especially the pudding! And gained a significant
amount of weight over time.
Dad was always clean and shaved (when he would allow them!) and well-presented.
Dad is now on end of life and the staff cannot do enough for him and also us as a family. We have been by dad's side throughout this heartbreaking and devastating process and are truly thankful for the support we are receiving from everyone here at Langwith Lodge. We cannot thank you enough and will be forever grateful for the love and genuine support you have shown to dad and ourselves.

“I began my career approximately 20 years ago as a carer, and have worked tirelessly to progress to where I am now. Now, as Home Manager, I feel that I can inspire and support my team in the same ways that I have been encouraged throughout my professional life. I am so passionate about this line of work, and the people I am able to positively affect in all that I do. I was drawn to a career in care after my father was taken poorly. It was only natural that I would be the one to care for him, and I realised I’d found my calling. My career path hasn’t always been easy, but I have embraced every challenge as I get to know more about the people I care for. I am still learning - I don’t think we ever really stop. This is especially relevant when it comes to caring for people living with dementia.


The more we get to know about the individual, the better the care we can provide. I have implemented this way of thinking throughout my career, ensuring that we look after the person and not the illness. Our residents are so special, and we love to get to know their stories as we care for them.


I have a fantastic team behind me. Each member of staff treats our residents as if they were members of their own family, and that’s how Langwith Lodge is run; we really are one big family."
