Dad has been here for around a year and we honestly can’t thank the staff enough for their care and professionalism throughout his stay. Unfortunately Dad lost his battle with illness and through the last few days, the team at The Manor could not have done more to keep Dad comfortable and support our family through this difficult time. Every single member of staff went over and above their duties to provide Dad and our family with hospitality and everything we needed. This professionalism and welcome attitude was demonstrated to us during every visit to see Dad. Cleanliness, food, and care were second to none in my opinion. My family are and will be eternally grateful for the care Dad received during his time at The Manor. Thank you.

The Manor Residential Home has a lovely feeling about it. Felt comfortable immediately. All staff are lovely, nothing is too much trouble. My friend loves it here and has decided he wants to stay here permanently by self-funding his care.

My stepmum was with the home for over three years. During that time, the staff were absolutely amazing and could not have cared enough for her. As she was gluten-free, special cakes were made for her along with her dietary requirements. At the end of life, I cannot praise enough the staff for how this was dealt with. They ensured she was not left alone when I was not there and the staff were just amazing and went above and beyond all expectations. The home is wonderful, caring, loving and a safe environment to be in. Thank you so much for everything.

Mum was only in The Manor Residential Home for four months and it was during Covid, so difficult. The staff were lovely and Mum was treated well and looked after.
I would certainly recommend The Manor Residential Home to anybody.
In Mum's final days, she was treated with care, respect and dignity.

Thank you so much.

My overall experience of The Manor has been very good, especially with the difficulties caused by the current pandemic. My mum is very happy and content with her care and with the overall environment. A slight negative is that her room/bathroom could do with some modernising. In the main, the staff are very friendly and helpful and provide daily companionship.

The care is always great and even more so, in the last two years. Some staff were doing 36 hour shifts at the height of the pandemic. They need more support.

My mother entered The Manor residential home in July of 2020. Mum suffered from dementia, and after two years of home care, required 24-hour care. I arranged to visit three care homes in the area to make comparisons with each. However, on visiting the home and meeting with the staff and the manager, we immediately had a good feeling about the home. Prior to entering, due to Covid, Mum had to spend amounts of time on her own, and she became very depressed. Within two weeks of being in the home, she transformed into her old self and looked full of life. She thoroughly enjoyed the company of other residents, but most of all, she enjoyed the attention given by the staff. They seemed to give my mum the time needed to stimulate her and to give her a greater quality of life. Mum passed away in February aged 90, but our decision to put her in the care of The Manor home was one we reflect on as being exactly right for Mum. A big thank you to all the staff from all of our family.

I would just like to say a huge thank you to all the staff and residents. My aunt celebrated her 91st birthday on the 30th of May 2020. Due to the circumstances at the moment the staff took great care ensuring we had a brief visit and were able to drop off gifts. My aunt looked liked she had a fantastic day, as they later sent videos and photos of her opening gifts and celebrating whilst having a little party. It was so nice to hear they took time to help celebrate and make her day special. Thank you to each and every one of you for the care you are doing.

When your mum is going into long term care you are going to have many concerns and questions. All of our concerns just evaporated when we met the team at The Manor.
Mum was treated with respect, compassion and most of all with friendship.

All her needs were met and also communicated to us as a family. We are so grateful that mum's final years were spent at The Manor.

It was a terrible blow to have to put Mum in care and my brother and I spent a lot of time researching and visiting the various care homes before we made our final decision. My Mum has now been a resident of The Manor for the past 2.5 years and we (my brother and I) are delighted with the decision we have made. The home, the care staff, including the ancillary and management, are dedicated to providing high-quality care. My only source of contact with Mum is via Skype and the staff and management go the extra mile to facilitate this several times a week.

A huge thank you to the manager and all of the staff there. Being a carer is not easy and you all do a splendid job. I would highly recommend The Manor.

During the three years that my cousin and her husband have been residents at The Manor we have been extremely satisfied with the care and consideration they have been given. The team at the home, are very professional, particularly with the terminal care my cousin's husband recently received. We would certainly recommend the home to everyone.

I was made welcome on arriving. The staff could not do enough for me and made it feel like a home from home.

They were all excellent. The breakfast was delicious plenty of variety and I was really well looked after by all. I would certainly recommend it (that is a 1st) and look forward to returning.

My mother has been a resident of The Manor for eighteen months. During this time the care provided by all members of staff has been wonderful. The manager leads by example. He is skilled, knowledgeable and highly professional and caring. He knows each individual well and treats Mum with kindness, understanding and with an all-important, gentle sense of humour.
It is clearly evident that the staff receive regular training. They, too, treat Mum with patience, understanding and kindness, going to great lengths to make her feel at home. Each individual is valued, as witnessed by the lovely mugs featuring a family photograph given to the residents as a Christmas present.
The owner of The Manor is regularly present. He, too, is friendly and welcoming and takes great pride in providing a residence of a high standard. The building is well maintained, both inside and out. Public areas and bedrooms are well decorated and always smell fresh and clean.

It is Home from Home!
