They always have fun stuff on in the home and I feel like The Dell have extended my nan's life by a million years. It’s one big family.
They listen, care and are always available for a chat about my nana's care.
Every one of the staff do this job for the love and you can see it.
The home is always clean and smells fresh.
Keep doing what you’re doing!
The care in The Dell is exceptional. The atmosphere is that of joy. The staff are positive and caring. My sister's care is second to none. Nothing is too much trouble for them. Visitors are welcomed at any time. My sister can't speak highly enough of the care she receives.
The building is not the most modern but it is always clean and the individual rooms are decorated to the residents' taste.
My friend was very reluctant to move from her previous home but after a week at The Dell, she asked if she could stay as she felt safe and cared for. She is now much happier and well cared for. The food is good and there is some flexibility with meals.
My sister and I came to visit our auntie today and we were made more than welcome by all the staff at The Dell. They had never met us before but we were so happy with the way they made us feel. Our auntie is so happy in the home, this we can see and she loves it there, always having a joke with the staff. It is like one big happy family at The Dell. I just want to say thank you for looking after our auntie, you've made us so happy.
Staff are extremely helpful and friendly and dealt with all concerns. Communication with staff is excellent and a realistic update on my sister's condition is always given. Regular and small meals are arranged which is ideal for my sister. She feels safe and listened to, especially in relation to her pain management. I am very satisfied with all aspects of the care given.
A fantastic care home. All the staff are friendly and approachable and really care for all the residents, which is obvious as soon as you walk into the lovely, friendly atmosphere. A lovely place to visit. There’s always something great going on for the residents to enjoy - parties, day trips, and celebrations. It is extremely clean, and they welcome visitors at any time. Nothing is ever too much trouble at The Dell.
My aunt spent the last few years of her life in the care of the staff at The Dell. No family could have asked for more than these wonderful people gave. She loved being with them and they became her extended family. She died peacefully in their tender, loving care and it is difficult to find sufficient words to express our gratitude to them. This is not the most modern of care homes, but this pales into insignificance when you experience the quality of care provided.
My mum has now resided in The Dell for 11-months. The Dell is well managed and has benefited from refurbishment in recent months. The staff are friendly, polite, helpful and reassuring to residents and visitors. The food is good, and the standard of cleanliness is excellent. The laundry operates efficiently, and emergencies are dealt with promptly. Refurbishment of the available outdoor space would benefit residents and staff.
My mum has been at The Dell residential care home for 8-months or so. I’m happy she has settled in well and made new friends. It’s been tough for her at the start and still is at times, but she still keeps smiling, and that’s with the care support help from all the staff throughout this.
I can’t thank them enough for what they do. I see the love they give to my mum and to the other residents also, nothing is too much trouble for them. I have great respect for each one of them.I would certainly recommend this care home.
I am truly grateful.
The Dell is a brilliant run care home with excellent loving staff! They always try to do several activities with the residents as well as trying to keep things fun for them while being cared for. Great service, excellent caregivers, love the place; keep up all the good work guys.
We, as a family, agreed to place Mum at The Deel care home due to her needing 24-hour care because of her age (95-years), dementia disability and incapacity. Mum settled in and because of the staff and the care she is getting, she is happy and joining in with activities on a daily basis. She has become a different person, and we can't praise the staff enough for the care and attention she is receiving. Due to the pandemic, we are unable to review her room etc.
the staff have been amazing, keeping in touch regularly, letting us know how Mum is, sending us photographs. Mum is very happy, and you can tell she has a good relationship with all of the staff and is extremely well looked after. Now visits are allowed, the staff have been really friendly, helpful and professional and make sure both myself and Mum feel comfortable, but at the same time, following the strict guidelines regarding PPE and social distancing
I would 100% recommend The Dell.
I would highly recommend The Dell care home. My elderly auntie has been a resident since December 2019. All the staff have been brilliant with her, and she has nothing but praise for them all. They all go above and beyond to make her feel happy and cared for. It has been difficult due to the Covid situation, but have been kept updated with telephone calls, videos and photos. It is very reassuring that all the residents are looked after so well. Also, they try so hard to make sure all residents are entertained. Can't thank them all enough.
My mum turned 90 recently and has been at the Dell for nearly over a year, and what a pleasure to see her in a happy state of mind all due to the care and attention of her " new family " the thought given in the creation of activities has given her such enjoyment. Whilst it would be unfair to name names, I have to express my deepest gratitude to one lady who has taken the time to WhatsApp me and allow some precious time in speaking and seeing my mum whilst living in Southern Africa. I have no doubt that all residents enjoy the festivities that are arranged on special occasions, Easter, Birthdays, St Valentines and Christmas time and all due to hard work and dedication. So whilst filling the options, I must conclude, despite not having visited The Dell, that all services are excellent given my comments above.
I can only say that the care that my mother is receiving is second to none. The staff are so nice and attentive, which in these uncertain times is very helpful. Keeping me in touch with my mother through video calls has been brilliant. I can't give them enough credit for the work they do; much appreciated by me and my brother.
My father has been a resident at The Dell for over a year now and the care he has continued to receive has been exceptional. The staff treat him like family, which has been particularly comforting during Covid. Since being there, my father has come to life, he’s happy, enjoys a sing-along with the staff and gets involved in activities there. I am kept up to date with regular messages and videos from the staff! I am really happy my father’s at The Dell, and despite his dementia, seems very content.
My mum went into The Dell in May 2020, since she has been there not only is she very happy to be there but the family are also very thankful to the staff for the care they give her. The building might not be the most modern but she has everything she needs. The food is very good, think the puddings are her favourite. Times for all of us at the moment are very difficult but it's nice to know your loved ones are happy, safe and content. I would highly recommend The Dell to anyone who is thinking about a care home. Lastly a special mention for the staff member who goes out of her way to give the family a weekly video chat, which is very special as we cannot get there. The care is 5 stars, thank you.
She had never been in care before and we as a family had no choice in where she needed to go because of the Coronavirus pandemic. We were very lucky that The Dell has such kind and friendly staff who made her at home and feel welcome. She was cared for and looked after very well, in a time when family members could not help or care for her, as well as she required.
I find the staff are fantastic and do the very best they can. The place is clean and carpets and furniture are updated. My mum feels safe and happy and that is the most important thing to me. I think there needs to be more staff at times and clothes and blankets go missing often, which is frustrating.
Staff have been great with my dad. He actually thinks he is on holiday as he has dementia. My mum goes there every day and the staff are so friendly.
The manager is lovely and very approachable and welcoming and very reassuring with anything you ask her.
We feel better that he is getting the care he needs and that my mum made the right choice.
