Although parts of the building are a little tired, the standard of care from the wonderful staff more than make up for this. I would highly recommend this care facility.
It's wonderful...
Great security at door, very welcoming and helpful in every way, explaining everything and offering further help if required. Mum has settled in very nicely due to the amazing staff looking after her. The building has many security points and staff run it well. Great job and glad Mum's in great hands.
Thank you for your kind feedback. We're so pleased to hear that your mum has settled in well and that our team and security have made you feel confident she's in good hands. Your comments mean a lot to our staff, and we're grateful you took the time to share your experience which will be shared with the team at Pemberton!
Was a little apprehensive after reading the last review, but I can honestly say that my experience has been nothing but great. My gran is looked after and cared for really good. The improvement in her well-being even after a short time is noticeable. All staff are caring and happy. Management have been visible and approachable and always make a point of welcoming me in the home. I have no concerns whatsoever. Rooms need updating but decorating has started.
Thank you so much for your kind feedback. We're delighted to hear that your experience has been so positive and that you've already noticed an improvement in your gran's well-being.
It's wonderful to know our team's care, as well as the visibility and approachability of management, has helped...
And the residents have a choice. There is a lovely lounge area and dinning room and a fabulous activity room. There is a hair salon and every need of every resident is met to the highest standard. I feel very reassured that my parents are safe and are looked after to such a high standard in a dignified way. It was hard when we dropped dad off that day but he couldn't have been more welcomed and I enjoy visiting and chatting to both mum and dad something I rarely had time to do when we was caring for them. It really is a lovely place to be.
Thank you so much for your lovely review.
We know how difficult that first step into respite care can be, so it means a great deal to hear that your mum and dad feel welcomed, safe and well cared for. Your kind words about our team, the home environment, and the facilities will be shared with...
What a disgusting place this is. Staff members never answer the phone and the staff are extremely rude. I would never recommend this place. I have had to bring food in for my mother as she refuses to eat what she has been given. My mother is fortunate that she is only there on respite and will be home soon.
We're very sorry to hear about your experience and your mother's stay. This is not the standard of care we aim to provide. Your concerns are important to us, and we'd like the opportunity to discuss them directly so we can address the issues. Please contact our management team at at your convenience.
I am so grateful for the fantastic care and service that all the care home staff give to my dad, I couldn't wish for him to be in a better place all the staff are lovely caring and so helpful and polite amazing all the time.
Thank you so much for your kind words. We're delighted to hear that your dad is happy and well cared for. Your appreciation means a lot to the whole team and truly encourages staff to keep doing our best every day!
Friendly, warm and welcoming. The Staff are so kind and supportive. Especially two staff members in particular who really developed a connection with my Dad and went out of their way to look after him. A special thanks to another specific staff member also who cared for my Dad and helped us. Our impression of the home is positive and there is a lot for residents to keep busy and refreshed. Thank you for giving my Dad a positive environment.
Thank you so much for your heartfelt feedback. We're truly grateful to hear that your dad felt cared for and supported, and that specific staff members made such a meaningful connection with him. It's wonderful to know the home left a positive impression and that the activities provided helped keep him engaged. We'll be sure to pass on your kind words to the team.
My father really enjoyed his stay here. The staff were amazing he was sad to say goodbye.
Thank you for your lovely review. We're so glad your father enjoyed his stay at Pemberton Fold!
All family and friends who have visited my husband while he was in respite (I had a hip replacement operation) gave positive feedback about his care. I only visited the home twice, once to drop him off and once to pick him up and my experience was the same. Would recommend this care home.
Thank you for taking the time to write this review. Park Homes strives to provide the best possible care for all its residents and I am pleased that you, your family, and friends all experienced a warm welcome and recognised what our dedicated team of people achieve day in and day out.
All the staff know her and make a fuss of her (and me! They all know my name and I get a brew when I visit!) From the reception to the cleaners, the chefs to the caters - all lovely. Like a second family!
All of her medical and personal needs are more than met. The staff are all lovely, very respectful and have the patience of saints.
The food is good. She had been very poorly in hospital and lost a lot of weight but she soon regained it here.
Her room is nice and the whole place is very clean. The lounge area is a nice space where the residents watch TV together.
There are regular activities, parties and celebrations with both in-house games and films and outdoor singers and entertainers.
A few months ago Mum was in hospital with a chest infection and this time cemented my feelings about Pemberton Fold. Whilst the care was excellent I constantly just wished she was back there, for the TLC they provide.
Thank you so much for your kind words! It's heartwarming to hear that your mum feels happy and relaxed, and that you feel like part of the family too. We're so proud of our team for providing the care, comfort, and TLC that makes Pemberton Fold feel like home. Your feedback truly means the world to us!
Needs more staff on each floor.
Thank you for taking the time to give me this feedback. We work hard to ensure that all our staffing is mapped to residents' needs. I will certainly look into your comments to assure myself that we are achieving that.
Lovely staff, great activities, clean and tidy.

People with dementia need this to stimulate their minds rather than just sitting in a chair doing nothing.
The room could do with modernising a little better, TV was not working and wardrobes were damaged, but the room was clean.
Thank you for sharing your feedback. We're so glad to hear that you noticed the positive atmosphere at Pemberton Fold, with staff, residents and families participating in activities like the quiz. We agree that stimulating activities are important for residents, especially those with dementia and...
We have had some 'teething problems' but the management have tried to solve these and listened to our concerns.
The home is very clean.

Was always clean & tidy when I visited.
Very difficult time as my brother was very poorly towards the end but the staff treated him with dignity he was well looked after.
Can't fault it!
Thank you so much for your kind feedback! We will share this with the team at the home.
Lovely clean premises, home-cooked hearty meals, and lovely caring staff. My mum couldn't be in a better place a real home from home. Residents seem happy and settled and interact well with the staff. Although Mum was not able to participate due to her mobility there were structured and meaningful activities planned daily.
Thank you so much for your lovely review - we will share this with the team at the home.
The home is spotless and always smells fresh and clean.
The home provides so much for the residents to do such as coffee mornings, bingo, visiting singers etc.
The best way I can describe this care home is that the staff really do care for the residents. They are personable and their communications are very good, always giving up-to-date details or any general information on how my mum is doing day to day.
Overall I feel so confident that my mum is in good hands and is receiving the best of care.
Thank you for such a wonderful review. We are so proud of the team there who work incredibly hard. We will pass your feedback to the team.
Pemberton Fold is literally amazing, my mum spent the last three years of her life there, and was absolutely loved and cherished by the amazing team. The team there are passionate about caring and looking after people. Mum was in Pemberton during covid and how the staff coped through such a trying time was so admirable. Thank you so much, everybody, you'll all get a good seat in Heaven I'm sure of that!
Unfortunately, I didn't have much feedback from my brother-in-law about his stay. I asked him different questions and all he said was "it was alright". But that's the norm for him. I asked about his meals and he couldn't tell me was he had eaten. I felt comfortable leaving him for the first time in 30 years. It was a hard decision. I felt that he was in safe hands with lovely caring staff.
I am very pleased with everything. He is very happy and well looked after, and very pleased with the rest-bite. Thank you.
