Mum has been in the home since January. The staff are lovely, she is looked after well, it's safe, clean and mum loves it. Everyone is friendly and all residents are happy, not just mum.

I cannot recommend Pemberton Fold care home enough. My mum became a resident in May 2021 and immediately settled in. The care she has received has been excellent both from the carers and the managerial staff, with the carers often going over and above their normal duties to ensure my mum is happy and safe. At the same time, the staff are fully aware of relatives’ feelings and concerns and I am always kept informed of my mum’s health and well-being. The care home is clean and hygienic and the residents have regular activities to stimulate, entertain and to encourage mobility. The warmth and caring nature of this home is evident as soon as you walk in. Everyone working in the home, across all levels of staff, is caring, friendly and approachable and it is evident that providing a safe and happy 'home from home' for their residents is their main priority.

Mum has been here for two weeks on respite. Up to now the staff I have dealt with have been understanding. Because of covid restrictions, I have only dealt with a few including the manager. they have both been understanding, informative, supportive and helpful. Mam says they are all brilliant and look after her well. We are all very pleased.

Overall Pemberton Fold is the best care home in this area and in the surrounding areas. I am totally satisfied with the service my mum and family receive. The only drawback is the telephone system which needs updating and possibly employing more staff for the workload.

Reply from Lynn Billingham, Sales, Marketing and Customer Service Manager at Pemberton Fold

Thank you for taking the time to submit a review and your lovely comments about Pemberton Fold. The telephone does get busy at the moment with families booking visits to see their loved ones, which we hope will be eased soon. We would like to reassure you that the home is fully staffed to meet the needs of the people we support.

Mum had a couple of stays for respite but is now a permanent resident. Pemberton is a very clean and tidy home. The staff have a very caring attitude towards mum and cannot do enough for her. I have no issues with the care mum receives. I know she is safe and well looked after at all times by the fantastic staff.

I’m not a big fan of nursing homes but this one is a good one. My dad has been in the assessment unit for six weeks and will soon become a permanent resident. I can honestly say I like this place.
The staff really do care and are great with the residents. It’s peaceful clean and well looked after.

It really is a care home that cares. My dad has been well looked after and is very settled. I would definitely recommend this place.

The staff are brilliant.
You can call in any time of day and stay as long as you want.

I cannot praise Pemberton Fold enough. It is clean, friendly, helpful and so kind to the residents with lots of activities for them to do. Mother passed away this month after being in the home for 4 years. The care and attention we as relatives received from everyone were second to none. I would wholeheartedly recommend Pemberton Fold to anyone.

The home seems to be run very well.
It's always nice and clean and the residents appear to be looked after extremely well.
They are always clean and neatly dressed in appearance.
The establishment always smells nice and the staff appear to be very kind and caring towards the residents.

I wouldn't have any hesitation in recommending someone to live there for assisted living

I take a Communion service in the home monthly and a yearly memorial service in May. I am always impressed by the welcome and clean atmosphere. The staff are genuinely caring and the residents always clean, tidy and well cared for. Families I speak to are always complimentary of home and staff.

I feel the residents physical and spiritual needs are met and respected. A pleasure to be a part of the care given in this home. Well done to all staff members.

My father was treated with respect and dignity during his end of life care. I cannot praise the staff enough. Each one of them did their job with the utmost professionalism whilst maintaining a caring relationship for both my father and us his family at this very difficult time. Even though my father should have probably been discharged from hospital to nursing care rather than residential.

I could not have wished for better care.

Let me say to begin with - I am not a lover of care homes. That being said I find it hard to express how impressed I am with 'Pemberton Fold'. The building is very well kept with pleasant decor and a feeling of calm and space. It is well run with management available and approachable. The food is fabulous and there's plenty of it if you want it. The security at the home is excellent. I can't say enough good things about 'Pemberton'. Activities are varied and planned with specific residents in mind, there are also regular functions in the homes' own function room. Although mum has dementia, which is getting progressively worse, she has really flourished in this environment. THE STAFF. They are wonderful!
Nothing is too much trouble. Yes, they do the job they're paid to do - but they really do CARE!!! They KNOW their residents - what they like - who they are!

As I said at the beginning - I do not like care homes - but l don't feel Pemberton Fold is not a care home.......It is a home that CARES!!!
