Thank you so Much for this lovely review I will pass this feed back to the team
Our dad received wonderful care during his time at the home, and we couldn't be more thankful. The staff were always approachable, supportive, and willing to help with anything he needed.
They made a real effort to spend time chatting with him, which he really enjoyed, and it was clear they genuinely cared. He was also encouraged to take part in the activities, even on days when he wasn't feeling his best, which helped keep him engaged and lifted his mood.
We truly appreciate all the care, kindness, patience, and respect shown to him throughout his stay. It made a big difference to both him and our family. Thank you to you all!
Thank you so much this review I will pass this onto the staff , really kind of you to take the time to review our wonderful care home
My grandad spent a short time in this care home, but we honestly couldn't have asked for better care. The staff were incredibly kind, attentive, and nothing was ever too much trouble for them. It gave us great comfort knowing he was so well looked after.
Before he became bed-bound, they made a real effort to involve him in the fantastic range of activities available, which were truly excellent and brought him a lot of enjoyment. The care, compassion, and dedication shown by the team made a difficult time much easier for our family, and we are very grateful.Thank you so much to Angela and all the team at Alderwood Care home.. you're all superstars!
Thank you so much for this kind review , I will pass your thoughts onto the staff , it gives us all great comfort knowing that our families trust us with their loved ones
Alderwood is an absolute gem, from the minute you walk in the door you feel a friendly and welcoming atmosphere and you can tell that the care of the residents is a priority. Deciding on a care home can be really stressful and quite daunting, you want your family member to be well looked after and cared for by the staff as if they were one of their own and this is what Alderwood offers. They have a fantastic events program to give the residents enrichment, there is always something going on and the staff all get involved. Most recently they were making Easter Bonnets which my mother in law who is suffering with Dementia really enjoyed. It was great to see her smiling for a photo while wearing it.
Aww thank you so much for this lovely review , I will pass your review on to the team, as its always nice for them to hear they are doing an amazing job
My Dad went to Alderwood in December 2024, the service is second to none, he was happy and cared for, he enjoyed it, he loved Maria and all the staff. When my mum also shown signs of not being able to live independently there was never any other place that we felt she would be best placed than Alderwood and she went in August 2025, since being in there she has been to Southport for fish n chips, a visit to the garden centre to name a few, the entertainment is fantastic and she is having an amazing time too! Big thanks to all the staff, they do an amazing job, sadly we lost our dad in March 2025 but Mum continues to thrive there and she is really happy and so are we! Well done guys xx

Alderwood is in a beautiful setting with lovely gardens. Everything from the food to the housekeeping and the bedrooms are of a good standard. The range of activities on offer is also varied and of a high standard and fully inclusive.
A wonderful team providing a wonderful service. What more can a family ask for when entrusting their most precious possession into the care of others.
Awww , this is so lovely , thank you so much for this lovely meaningful review. I will pass your kind words on to Team Alderwood, :)
Very happy with the level of care provided at Alderwood. My wife has a comfortable, clean room, and loves the food here. Staff and management are excellent, and residents are treated with care and dignity within a secure environment. Residents are encouraged to take part in activities most days; these are popular and varied, and this builds a good atmosphere.
Thankyou for this lovely review , I am so pleased you are happy with the level of care at Alderwood I will pass on your comments to the staff
We are so very happy with the care service for our mother. It's a beautiful home , the gardens , dining room and all bedrooms are kept to a very high standard. The staff are lovely and treat all the residents with the utmost respect. The entertainment is brilliant, which is needed to stimulate all residents and make them feel young again. I would highly recommend this care home , my mother and the other residents have their dignity restored as old age and medical conditions robs them of so much.
Thank you so much for this lovely review, I will ensure the staff see this, and I am sure they will be delighted with your lovely words
My Mum has recently moved into Alderwood. She has mental & physical health needs. She's been struggling living by herself for over a year and arrived at Alderwood in a bad way. In just a short space of time and being properly looked after we are amazed how well she now seems. She's genuinely happy & settled. My Mum has clicked well with the staff and feels at ease with them. She trusts them and allows them to look after her. It's a casual atmosphere around the place which is great. The staff are all extremely friendly & helpful. Everyone is on the ball and communication is spot on. It's just what my Mum was needing. She's enjoying the environment, the staff, the food and having her hair done. We were worried about Mum going into a care home and the implications. Turns out Mum has embraced it as a positive move, enjoying the perks and treats it like an all inclusive holiday. Many thanks to Alderwood and staff. We are thankful.
Thank you so much for this lovely review, The team at Alderwood will be thrilled that their dedication and hard work does pay off and , its lovely that their hard work doesn't go unnoticed. I will pass these words onto the staff. Thank You
Nothing is ever too much trouble. The way the staff are with the residents is heartwarming. They are treated like family members and go above and beyond to ensure all the residents and families feel safe and confident entrusting our loved ones into their care.
Thank you for your kind review of Alderwood Care Home. I will ensure the review is passed onto the team I am sure they will love hearing some lovely positive feedback. Kindest regards.
My first experience of Alderwood Care Home was a visit to my mother's home to assess her suitability to go into care at the home. It was carried out by the manager and a member of staff, who were very professional explaining the facilities and answering all our queries. Even at this stage, my mother was made to feel that Alderwood would be a happy and settled environment. Now, seven months later I can honestly say that the whole experience of such a life-changing step has changed my mother's outlook on life and has enhanced her confidence with both the staff and other residents. The home is always clean and the staff are always welcoming with a chat and a smile. All her health needs are met, both physically and mentally. I would definitely recommend Alderwood Care Home to anyone.
Thank you so much for this lovely review, your mum is very much loved by everyone at Alderwood and it's so lovely to know the family feel we are doing a good job taking care of her.
The home is always clean, well-organized, and welcoming, with plenty of activities to keep residents engaged. I'm so grateful for the peace of mind Alderwood provides, knowing my mother is safe, happy and well cared for.

Thank you for this lovely review, your mum is very much loved by everyone at Alderwood and it was such a special day when we celebrated her 100th Birthday, it was definitely a day to remember.
My mum moved into Alderwood in November 2023. Since then, Mum has received the utmost care, respect and dignity from all members of staff. The care home is lovely and clean and homely. All staff are very supportive to the residents and their families. It offers a home from home environment which is essential for the residents sense of belonging and for them to be settled. The residents are very well cared for by all the staff in every way by the friendly staff.
Thank you so much for your kind words your mum is very much loved by all the staff at Alderwood. Please always know we are available to help you as well as your mum if ever you need support too.
I am unable to single any particular member of the team for above and beyond treatment of my dad and observing them with the other residents and how they genuinely care. They also have a very pleasant approach to visitors and get to know the family dynamic, you are made to feel welcomed into their home.
Thank you so much for this lovely review, we strive to ensure the families of residents feel as safe and as welcome as the residents who reside at Alderwood and this review encapsulates this.
From the first moment we looked around the care home, there was a warm, calm, welcoming and homely feel. Dad moving into a care home was a huge shock and upset for our family and very distressing for my mum. The staff at the care home have been wonderful in ensuring our family feel welcome and supported during this transition. Nothing has ever been too much trouble. All staff at the care home have taken the time to get to know Dad, his likes/dislikes, routines and are always kind, gentle, thoughtful, compassionate and respectful.
My family and I feel complete confidence that Dad is safe and receiving the best care. We are so thankful to all the staff at Alderwood for everything they do.
Thank you so much for this lovely review, knowing we are putting families' minds at rest is very comforting and also knowing that families feel confident in our ability to look after their loved ones. I will pass your lovely words on to the staff.
Mum went into Alderwood for respite when Dad was in hospital and remained there as a result of his ongoing ill health and her own problems with dementia. She was very happy there and the care the girls gave her was first-class. The Manager was supportive of both her, my dad and me during a very difficult time and as the end came, couldn't have been more respectful. I would recommend Alderwood to anyone facing the difficult decision for their own family members.
This is so lovely of you, your mum is still truly missed by all the staff and your kind words are very much appreciated.
If there has been a problem, management has dealt with it fast and efficiently.
My auntie loves living here there’s always something going on for the residents to do like arts and crafts, trips out and singers.
Thank you so much for this lovely review. If there is anything we can ever improve on your feedback will be greatly appreciated. Thanks from Team Alderwood.
