Mum has been at Appleton Lodge for two years now. She is settled and happy. She has a lovely homely room and nice views, She is not a great eater but the staff do their best to accommodate Mum's likes. Mum has always taken pride in her appearance and the staff will make sure she always looks nice. Mum enjoys the activities and the social aspect of the home. All in all a good care home. It will never be like having mum at home but when at the stage your loved one needs 24-hour care, then Appleton Lodge is a good second best.

Our friend stayed with you for six weeks following his discharge from hospital where he'd been for about five months.

During his time with you he was looked after and cared for so well, we thank you.

The staff are excellent. Very helpful. My auntie seems very settled which, as a family, we are happy about. The staff keep us informed of any changes within the home and if my auntie has had any changes in her health, the staff will always contact me.

I am very impressed with the way Appleton Lodge has been able to look after my mother through the very difficult times of the last 2 years. The care and attention have been excellent and would not hesitate to recommend this home to anyone who needs an elderly relative cared for. Keep up the good work.

After a traumatic time in hospital and then a discharge to care home, my mum has now settled into Appleton Lodge and she seems very happy. The staff have all been fantastic with my mum and they are a pleasure to deal with. I feel my mum is in a safe and happy environment. Well done!

I find Appleton Lodge to be a pleasant, clean, and friendly home. The staff are helpful, caring, and professional. The staff are also patient with some residents who are quite demanding.

My mother-in-law moved into Appleton Lodge in November 2019 and has settled in really well. Her room is very spacious and she has her own bathroom and toilet. She can watch TV in her own room or go into the lounge so she has the best of both worlds. The staff and manager are amazing people they go above and beyond. During the lockdown, I've had no worries at all. The best thing about this place is the staff are very consistent and pleasant. Excellent, can't fault it.

I stayed at Appleton Lodge whilst waiting for a new flat and really enjoyed my time there. The staff were all lovely and you could have a good laugh with them. The food was good in the majority. I had a nice view of the garden and was always invited to join in with activities but I like my own space. I liked talking to the girls and would come back again if I could.

My Nana has been at Appleton Lodge for a few years since breaking her hip. The care staff are excellent and always go the extra mile to make Nana feel comfortable and cared for. Since lockdown, I have only been able to do window visits but the staff have always put my mind at ease and I have never had to worry about my Nana's safety, dignity or health. Thank you.

Both the day and night staff are excellent and I am always treated with respect and dignity. Thank you.
In these times of Covid 19, some thought needs to be given to visiting in the winter to ensure that visits continue even in bad weather.

My only concern is that since arriving at Appleton Lodge I have not been able to see any physiotherapists to help aid my recovery from a stroke.

The care I have received and seen delivered here has been caring, thoughtful, sensitive and proficient. It is also to be noted that it has also been client-centred and sympathetic. I have been made to feel expertly cared for and very comfortable whilst a resident here.

I would be very willing for any family member or friend to come here, should the need arise.

My father has been a resident at Appleton Lodge for approximately 6 months and since he has been there I have had no reservations, worries or concerns whatsoever. The whole team at Appleton are professional, caring and go above and beyond to make residents feel like a part of the family. The home is clean, residents are all very well cared for and family members are made very welcome at all times. The manageress and her deputy are very approachable and will accommodate any requests you have.

After much deliberation, we decided that Appleton Lodge was the right place for my mother-in-law and how right we were. From management down to maintenance staff, the service is excellent. Whilst it took her a while to settle, she was treated with respect and dignity from her first day. Appleton Lodge (and its staff) deserve every praise.

My dad has been residing in Appleton Lodge since Sept 2019. He is well looked after and the staff have been on the ball with any worries we may have raised. We feel confident when we leave him that he is in good safe hands and the staff are mainly all lovely, kind and caring. My dad has a number of issues and is most likely one of their more difficult cases, he isn't a particularly social man, never has been but they do try their best to encourage him to join in with things. We recently attended one of the Christmas parties where they had a singer on and it was lovely, it was so nice to see my dad singing and clapping along. Well done to all the staff who are really hardworking and sociable.

My husband is a resident at Appleton Lodge and I am full of praise for the management and carers. They are so caring and look after my husband so well. He has so many medical problems and they make us feel at home. The food is excellent and I say compliments to the chef and kitchen staff, I feel I can go home at night and am confident my husband is being well looked after.

Appleton Lodge is spotlessly clean. All the staff work hard but have time to attend to the residents' needs, always with a smile.
The food is all home cooked, fresh and tasty.
The self-contained rooms are en-suite, light and clean.

An outstanding home from home and I feel safe in the knowledge my mum-in-law is cared for by professionals. Five stars all around.
