I have been visiting Auden House for more than 5 years during which time no matter which day and time the atmosphere was one of caring and happiness. After visiting time with my friend, I always left aware that she couldn't be in a better place.
Staff are very helpful with dad, he has dementia. Mum passed away in November. The staff were extremely watchful over him at the time. They also keep you informed of any issues that may occur. Every time a family member visits, he appears content and happy. Can't fault the care he is given. Many thanks to all the staff.
Thank you for taking the time to post this review. I will pass on your thanks to all the staff.
The staff are all so caring and professional and provide a host of activities for their residents. When mum went to Auden House she was extremely poorly but with their wonderful care, good food (all cooked in-house), and extreme professionalism they put her on the road to recovery. It is amazing to see the change in her and a big thank you to all the fabulous staff there for their dedication and commitment, especially in the dreadful covid times. My sister and I are so happy in the knowledge that mum is now in a safe, caring and happy environment.
Thank you so much for taking the time to post this review. Your comments are greatly appreciated by everyone at Auden House.
Auden House is providing an excellent caring and safe home for Mum. She is so well looked after, and the staff are extremely kind and professional. She enjoys all the lovely meals which are cooked in-house and joins in the various activities they plan. The walled garden at the back of the house is amazing, where they grow their own fruit and vegetables. It is a huge relief that we have found this lovely home. It must have been extremely difficult for the staff and management during the COVID pandemic, and we cannot thank them enough for their dedication.
Thank you for taking the time to provide us this lovely feedback. It is greatly appreciated by all the staff team.
My mother-in-law has settled really well at Auden House. All contact with the home although usually not face to face because of the Covid crisis has been extremely positive nothing is too much trouble. We are extremely satisfied.
Auden House is a breath of fresh air. It provides a safe, caring and friendly home for a treasured Aunt and allows her family and friends to rest easy in the knowledge that she is happy and well cared for. Her individual quirks and foibles are accepted gracefully and with good humour and my aunt has flourished since she has been a resident. I couldn't recommend Auden House more highly. The staff are always helpful and clearly prioritise the wellbeing of their residents above all else. The property and garden are all we could wish for in this handy and pleasant location. Thank you everyone working at Auden House.
Many thanks indeed for providing this lovely feedback. It is greatly appreciated by all the team.
When we found Auden House we struck gold. My Mum has been so well cared for by a team of wonderful people. Very professional, my mum had dementia and with an excellent care plan of activities, she thrived in a wonderful atmosphere of an amazing staff. The meals are home-cooked with excellent choices for individual tastes by an amazing kitchen team. Auden House is spotlessly clean and home from home with a very friendly atmosphere. Covid has been challenging for everyone, but especially those in care homes, both residents and staff, but despite everything, the team at Auden House could not have done more. Always with a smile and always so caring.
My mum has been a resident at Auden House for the last 6 months. My sister and I visited numerous homes prior to Mum moving here and as soon as we walked in, we knew it was the right choice. Mum is extremely happy here, is well cared for and is treated with the utmost respect and dignity. There are plenty of activities and outings to enjoy but she never feels pressured into joining in with anything if she doesn't want to. She enjoys her meals, which are freshly cooked in-house and a lot of the fruit and vegetables are home-grown by the owner, which makes them of the highest quality. My sister and I would have no hesitation in recommending Auden House to anyone and are extremely grateful to everyone there for making my mum feel safe, comfortable, happy and well looked after.
I have found on visiting Auden House, a very friendly care home. The staff are very helpful. If I had to choose for myself when the time comes I would choose Auden House because all the people here are very happy and content. The staff certainly look after the residents extremely well.
Thank you for taking the time to post a review. Your feedback is greatly appreciated by all of our team.
She is well treated.
The home is very clean, great caring staff, and mum loves the food.
Very happy.

My mother-in-law has recently gone to live at Auden House. I am amazed at how happy and settled she is, all the staff are so caring and supportive. I am also happy that she is being encouraged to partake in activities, nothing is too much trouble. When I go to visit, the staff are always welcoming. It is a big relief to know that she is safe and well cared for and even more importantly, that she is happy and treated with dignity.
Many thanks indeed for your feedback. Your comments are greatly appreciated by all staff.
Auden House is well looked after and very clean. The quality of food is exceptional and caters for all dietary needs. The manager of Auden House is very professional and caring and has offered exceptional support to both my auntie and also to our family. We are extremely happy that my auntie is living in such a caring and safe home. My auntie is the happiest she has been for a very long time!
Many thanks for taking the time to post this review. Your kind words are appreciated by all the staff at Auden House.
The fresh homegrown produce used in the meals always looks fabulous. We are very lucky my Nanna is living somewhere she feels safe and comfortable.
Many thanks for your kind words. It is much appreciated by all the staff at Auden House.
The management and staff here have been welcoming and friendly at all times. The interest and individual care offered to my mother-in-law has been exceptional and Auden House has the atmosphere very much of a home-from-home for the residents. Activities and shared hobby times are a regular feature and provide stimulation and enjoyment throughout the week. The efficiency of systems in place give significant reassurance to relatives that health and security are continually monitored, both technically and as a means for maintaining the happiness of all residents.
Thank you very much for your kind words. It is much appreciated by all the staff at Auden House.
My mother has been at Auden House for a number of years now. Myself and my brother and sister have been delighted with the level of care shown to her.
The staff go above and beyond to make sure that the residents are safe and well cared for. It is a friendly atmosphere, with cheerful staff and management. My mother suffers from dementia and other health related issues and I trust the staff at Auden House with her day to day care. They understand the problems with dementia and go out of their way to support my mother.
I am very grateful for the care she receives there and after searching through other care homes initially for her, I would not hesitate to recommend Auden House. It is a home from home where I know that she is safe and cared for
There are plenty of activities and any issues are dealt with efficiently and without fuss.
My mum was a happy resident here for 20 months before she very sadly passed away on March 13th, 2018. Mum was treated with respect and dignity by all the staff here. She settled very quickly, despite my previous misgivings about Mum living in a care home, and soon felt at home due to the sensitive care of the staff, and her relationship with her carer. The atmosphere was a happy one with a firm emphasis on regarding the residents as people who matter, people who have held responsible positions in life and have brought up families successfully, and not on their current status of being elderly and suffering from dementia. The staff always communicated with us and I always trusted that Mum’s best interests were paramount. Mum loved the home-cooked food and the cook would always try to tempt Mum with different food in an attempt to build her up once she became poorly. If Mum was under the weather the doctor would be called out regularly, nothing was too much trouble at Auden House.
What can I say, Auden House is “the best”. As a family, we read many reviews and visited many care homes before deciding Auden House was head and shoulders above them all. The Manager came to visit Mum in her own home, and chatted with her about her life and talked about her and her family. Mum went for a day visit and she was sold. Auden House isn’t all about the money “they all really care”. The staff sit in the living areas with the residents all the time. When they are doing paperwork relating to the residents, they do it in the lounge and not locked away in an office. All the time keeping everybody happy and looked after. The ladies are treated like royalty having their hair and nails done. Families are made very welcome and everything is very transparent. The owners are always around and they grow a lot of their own fruit and vegetables in the garden which is used at mealtimes. I would just like to thank Auden House for all they did for our Mum who we sadly lost in December.
Thank you for taking the time to write a review and for your kind words Liz. It means a lot to know that our care is appreciated.
All the staff were excellent with her, she liked everybody in there.
It is a very friendly home and my mother was well looked after and had excellent care.
Auden House is one of the best care homes, I would recommend it to anyone.
Thank you for taking the time to submit your review. It is much appreciated.
We have found Auden House to be the perfect place for my 96 year old auntie. She has all the company she was lacking at home where she lived alone. Her health and well being improved dramatically due to the excellent care and friendships she has made with all the staff and other residents. The staff are so very caring and friendly both to my auntie and ourselves when we visit. We think we made an excellent choice when choosing this care home and would certainly recommend it to anybody who is in need of good care and a friendly face.
