I take Holy Communion to Catholic Residents. The staff are welcoming, helpful and caring. The residents seem happy. The home under its present leader obviously is committed to all aspects of care including spiritual.

Overall Experience

We as a family couldn't have asked for any better care from the wonderful professional staff of this Care Home, my mum came to them after a terrible experience at another care home and as a family, we were obviously concerned. Our concerns were immediately put to rest by the compassion and enthusiasm shown to mum and us as a family. As a family we would like to thank and to tell all the staff how very appreciative we are of them, they gave mum such good quality of life in her last few months and at the end were very supportive of the family. A ship is only as good as it's captain and the captain of this Care Home is amongst the best with excellent people around her. Again a massive Thank You for all you did for mum in her final months. Keep up the good work, there are people who care about you.

My mum has just been moved to nursing care, and the time (four years) she spent in Daisy Nook was wonderful for her. From the manager, senior carers and carers they all gave her love care and attention and time.

My mum has been a resident just under one year, the staff have made her very welcome and she settled immediately. Any health issues are sorted out promptly and I am informed of any action or necessary appointments. The staff are very caring and provide excellent support.

My husband went into Daisy Nook House originally for respite, when I went into hospital. It then went on to be permanent residential care, from the very first time we went to the home, the manager and senior staff and all the care workers have been fantastic. It was a very emotional time but both my husband and myself have had wonderful care and support throughout the time my husband has been there. There has only been a few concerns which have been dealt with quickly and sensitively. My husband is very happy there, which has helped me immensely.

My grandmother has been a resident of this care home for a few years now. I could not ask for a better place for her to live. She is so well looked after, the staff are lovely, she feels safe and thinks of it as home. I can not recommend this care home highly enough. I can have complete peace of mind knowing she is happy, comfortable and safe.

Dad has only been a resident for one week. However he seems to have settled in well due to the friendliness and caring attitude of the manageress and her staff. Everybody seems to be well looked after and there is always a member of staff in attendance.

So far i am very pleased with the way my son is being cared for. There will always be one or two ups and downs but any problems have been satisfactorily dealt with as quickly as possible and this is why at the moment I am giving an "excellent" report. My son has only been in Daisy Nook House for a few months but I have been fortunate to have one or two dinners with him and can say with confidence that these were excellent.
