Daisy Nook House care home is nestled ideally within a peaceful area of Ashton-under-Lyne.

As well as being equipped with the skill and knowledge to offer personalised residential and residential dementia care to residents, the care team also work hard to ensure Daisy Nook House is a vibrant place to live. Led by an experienced and friendly Home Manager, they spend time learning about each individual resident and who they are as a person. This allows them to design a wellbeing and activities programme that offers things that everybody will enjoy, helping to keep residents engaged and living a fulfilled life.

A great place where my great uncle enjoyed his break away from his own home. Daisy Nook House is warm and welcoming! Staff are hardworking but also give time to visitors and residents.
We can't thank them enough and we shall be using this fantastic service again and again.
My great uncle loves the
gardens and the bed that they provided. A happy uncle is a happy family.

I feel very happy that my mum is cared for here to such a high standard. My mum is settled and happy as a result of this. She has really come out of her shell and got so much more confidence that she's ever had. The credit can only go to the people looking after mum, if they weren't doing a good job

My grandad is currently a resident at Daisy Nook. We visit regularly and on each visit the first thing that stands out is the tidiness and clean smells. His room is personal and comfortable with everything that he needs. Staff are very caring and take the time to get to know residents and their relatives,
it is good to see the same faces each time we visit. The food always looks and smells nice and varies regularly. There's lots of information around the care home for residents and guests, with many activities to encourage socialising that includes families and relatives too.

The manager at Daisy Nook House turned this home around many years ago bringing up to the standard it is today.
They have a waiting list for this home and I think this speaks volumes. Nothing is too much trouble.
All the staff are very helpful, they are happy people which says a lot about the management.

I take Holy Communion to Catholic Residents. The staff are welcoming, helpful and caring. The residents seem happy. The home under its present leader obviously is committed to all aspects of care including spiritual.

We as a family couldn't have asked for any better care from the wonderful professional staff of this Care Home, my mum came to them after a terrible experience at another care home and as a family, we were obviously concerned. Our concerns were immediately put to rest by the compassion and enthusiasm
shown to mum and us as a family. As a family we would like to thank and to tell all the staff how very appreciative we are of them, they gave mum such good quality of life in her last few months and at the end were very supportive of the family. A ship is only as good as it's captain and the captain of this Care Home is amongst the best with excellent people around her. Again a massive Thank You for all you did for mum in her final months. Keep up the good work, there are people who care about you.

My mum has just been moved to nursing care, and the time (four years) she spent in Daisy Nook was wonderful for her. From the manager, senior carers and carers they all gave her love care and attention and time.

My husband went into Daisy Nook House originally for respite, when I went into hospital. It then went on to be permanent residential care, from the very first time we went to the home, the manager and senior staff and all the care workers have been fantastic. It was a very emotional time but both my
husband and myself have had wonderful care and support throughout the time my husband has been there. There has only been a few concerns which have been dealt with quickly and sensitively. My husband is very happy there, which has helped me immensely.

As a dedicated healthcare professional, Wayne has gained a wealth of experience in providing care and nursing support to elderly people, to enrich their lives. He is a knowledgeable and dedicated leader who is passionate about delivering the highest standards in care and quality of life for Residents.


Wayne closely shares HC-One’s vision in aiming to provide the kindest care for each and every Resident. He extends this caring approach to his Colleagues and works closely with them to deliver care and support to Residents in a way that they gain the most benefit, in a warm and welcoming home.


When asked what he enjoys most about his role and why he decided to work in the care sector, Wayne remarked:


“The variety of the role, providing a safe, happy and fun place to live and work.”


“The old cliché but I wanted to make a difference, to hear laughter from staff and Residents is priceless and makes the harder days easier.”


Outside of work, Wayne enjoys travelling, spending time with his family and dogs as well as getting fit.
