As soon as I walked through the door I knew this was the place for my mum. It just felt right, she has a lovely sunny room overlooking the garden, with everything she could possibly need. I visit her most days and every time it just feels like I’m visiting her at home and all the staff are my extended family. Can't put into words how much they look after my mother and how so very grateful all the family are to them.

All staff are very friendly and cannot do enough to help my dad. If any concerns about my dad they always get in touch with me and keep me informed. They do their best to keep my dad happy and to keep his dignity in every possible way. My dad became a resident a long time ago within Daisy Nook House and always been happy here. My dad was recently in hospital and the support my dad and his family for from the manager and staff was outstanding.

Mum has early onset Alzheimers and was cared for at home for 10 years before her needs became too hard to sustain and 24hour care was needed.

The home was perfect for her, everything on 1 floor, spacious so she can walk about as she pleases, secure so she can't leave alone. Hairdressers within the home and a large day centre with daily activities, singers, bingo, exercises etc. She settled no problem and the staff are wonderful.

My family and I are very pleased with Daisy Nook looking after Mum, especially after a disappointment with other homes we used.

We feel very confident that she is in the best place to suit her needs.

Mum was admitted in June 2018. A new experience for her and the family. Mum is 91 years old and suffers from dementia.
She settled down quickly. The staff are helpful, courteous, understanding, respectful and professional in my experience.
Mum is well fed, clean (personally and her room), if she requires changing during the day, this is done immediately.
The staff are approachable and care about the residents' welfare.

Mum is safe, which is very important to us.

Over the past 12 months of visiting a friend in Daisy Nook House, I have witnessed how pleasant it is. As well as visiting I go in to play bingo and help residents who aren't able to play by themselves.
The care home also has days when you can play tombola, raffles etc.
On occasions, some residents who are able to are taken out to lunch.

The staff are pleasant and caring also.

Overall Experience
My father has been resident in Daisy Nook House for little over a year. The care, compassion and patience shown to my father is second to none. Nothing is too much trouble for his carers who take the time to not just care for him but to chat with him and ask about his life. Whilst it is sad that he is in poor health and needs their care, I believe that they make his days brighter. The manager is a very outgoing person and greets all of the residents with a cheery "hello" and enquires how they are. The staff work as a team and ensure that my father is comfortable, that he is very well looked after and cared for. The staff are polite and courteous to myself when I visit and as my father has been there for a while we are on first name terms. The home is very relaxed and you feel comfortable when you are there, fresh flowers in the reception area smell beautiful as you enter and calming music is played too. I would not hesitate to recommend this home.

Thank you everybody for looking after my dad in the way that you do.

A great place where my great uncle enjoyed his break away from his own home. Daisy Nook House is warm and welcoming! Staff are hardworking but also give time to visitors and residents.
We can't thank them enough and we shall be using this fantastic service again and again.

My great uncle loves the gardens and the bed that they provided. A happy uncle is a happy family.

I feel very happy that my mum is cared for here to such a high standard. My mum is settled and happy as a result of this. She has really come out of her shell and got so much more confidence that she's ever had. The credit can only go to the people looking after mum, if they weren't doing a good job she wouldn't be so happy. Thank you Daisy Nook House! xx

My grandad is currently a resident at Daisy Nook. We visit regularly and on each visit the first thing that stands out is the tidiness and clean smells. His room is personal and comfortable with everything that he needs. Staff are very caring and take the time to get to know residents and their relatives, it is good to see the same faces each time we visit. The food always looks and smells nice and varies regularly. There's lots of information around the care home for residents and guests, with many activities to encourage socialising that includes families and relatives too.

The manager at Daisy Nook House turned this home around many years ago bringing up to the standard it is today.
They have a waiting list for this home and I think this speaks volumes. Nothing is too much trouble.

All the staff are very helpful, they are happy people which says a lot about the management.
