Daisy Nook House care home is nestled ideally within a peaceful area of Ashton-under-Lyne.

As well as being equipped with the skill and knowledge to offer personalised residential and residential dementia care to residents, the care team also work hard to ensure Daisy Nook House is a vibrant place to live. Led by an experienced and friendly Home Manager, they spend time learning about each individual resident and who they are as a person. I can't tell you how extremely happy, as a family, we are to have my wife at Daisy Nook House Care Home. The staff are so considerate towards the residents and so understanding towards their needs. We looked at many homes before choosing Daisy Nook House and we were so lucky to have been able to get
a place, thanks to the wonderful manager.

Mum has been in the care of the Daisy Nook House Care Home staff for over three years. This month was the first time we have been able to visit her in her room since the pandemic. How wonderful it was to see that the homes excellent standards have been maintained. Her room and the wider building we
passed through were clean and fresh with doors open to the garden bringing in the warmth of the autumn day. Mum was as content as she has always been under the care of the devoted staff. During the past two years, we have shared in video calls, window visits and have been made aware of any changes in Mum's condition. All the staff should be praised for their commitment to providing only the best possible care for our loved ones and for that our family are truly grateful. You are all heroes.

My aunt came to Daisy Nook House Care Home in December 2020, during the pandemic. From the very first day, the staff treat my aunt with kindness and dignity. Since that date, they have all excelled themselves with their love, care and kindness towards her and to my aunt's extended family. Nothing is
too much trouble and I can sleep at night knowing my aunt gets the very best of care.

Mum is being well cared for and is happy living at Daisy Nook House Care Home. The staff are committed and nothing seems too much trouble, they understand her needs and always go the extra mile. Many thanks to all the staff for all their efforts in these difficult times.
We are unable to fully assess
Mum's room as she only took up residency in December 2020 and due to the pandemic, we understandably have not been able to gain access.

You cannot find a nicer home for anyone. The staff are a pleasure to be with they treat the residents with respect and go way above-being carers and the shows they put on are amazing. The Christmas fairs they do and raise money for the home is brilliant

Our gran initially went to Daisy Nook house for respite care. Unfortunately, she has been unable to return to live independently and has now got a permanent place. Since being at Daisy Nook House we feel she is well looked after. She looks healthier, smiles more and is very sociable. We regularly see
our gran and bring her out for a few hours which she enjoys. She is able to share all her experiences of what she has been doing. We have never seen her so sociable. The staff are friendly and available to share any worries and vice versa. If there are any problems they will ring to inform us. Our gran is not very good with her mobility and we feel so much more at ease that she has 24-hour care readily available and feel this move has done her the world of good. It's always a hard decision to make for loved ones but we feel this move has provided a safe environment for our gran. Thanks to all the staff for the care they provide especially during a difficult time.

My mum went into Daisy Nook House in January 2020 Just before the Pandemic. The staff have been lovely with her and the care they have provided is excellent. I cannot thank them enough. It has been so hard not being able to physically see my mum only seeing her through the window, even on her 90th birthday.
But the staff made it as special a day as they could for her, for which I was so grateful. The Manager is lovely and always available if I need to speak to her about my mum. She always has time for you and offers reassurance and support. I am so happy that my mum is being well cared for especially in these difficult times. I will always be grateful to the staff at Daisy Nook.

My nanna has been in Daisy Nook care home for nearly 18months now and the home has given her a new lease of life, all the staff are brilliant with her and have a great relationship and always have her best interests at heart. She always seems happy and well looked after. Lockdown has been hard for everyone
but knowing that my nanna is getting the best care has made it a lot easier. We have been able to go to the window within distance. The staff have kept us up to date with video calls and pictures and the entertainment they have had has been brilliant and kept my nanna's mind off everything. As a family, we cannot thank everyone at Daisy Nook care home enough for everything they have done for my nanna and would 100% recommend this home.

As soon as I walked through the door I knew this was the place for my mum. It just felt right, she has a lovely sunny room overlooking the garden, with everything she could possibly need. I visit her most days and every time it just feels like I’m visiting her at home and all the staff are my extended
family. Can't put into words how much they look after my mother and how so very grateful all the family are to them.

All staff are very friendly and cannot do enough to help my dad. If any concerns about my dad they always get in touch with me and keep me informed. They do their best to keep my dad happy and to keep his dignity in every possible way. My dad became a resident a long time ago within Daisy Nook House
and always been happy here. My dad was recently in hospital and the support my dad and his family for from the manager and staff was outstanding.

Mum has early onset Alzheimers and was cared for at home for 10 years before her needs became too hard to sustain and 24hour care was needed.
The home was perfect for her, everything on 1 floor, spacious so she can walk about as she pleases, secure so she can't leave alone. Hairdressers within the
home and a large day centre with daily activities, singers, bingo, exercises etc. She settled no problem and the staff are wonderful.

Mum was admitted in June 2018. A new experience for her and the family. Mum is 91 years old and suffers from dementia.
She settled down quickly. The staff are helpful, courteous, understanding, respectful and professional in my experience.
Mum is well fed, clean (personally and her room), if she requires
changing during the day, this is done immediately.
The staff are approachable and care about the residents' welfare.
Mum is safe, which is very important to us.

Over the past 12 months of visiting a friend in Daisy Nook House, I have witnessed how pleasant it is. As well as visiting I go in to play bingo and help residents who aren't able to play by themselves.
The care home also has days when you can play tombola, raffles etc.
On occasions, some residents
who are able to are taken out to lunch.
The staff are pleasant and caring also.

My father has been resident in Daisy Nook House for little over a year. The care, compassion and patience shown to my father is second to none. Nothing is too much trouble for his carers who take the time to not just care for him but to chat with him and ask about his life. Whilst it is sad that he
is in poor health and needs their care, I believe that they make his days brighter. The manager is a very outgoing person and greets all of the residents with a cheery "hello" and enquires how they are. The staff work as a team and ensure that my father is comfortable, that he is very well looked after and cared for. The staff are polite and courteous to myself when I visit and as my father has been there for a while we are on first name terms. The home is very relaxed and you feel comfortable when you are there, fresh flowers in the reception area smell beautiful as you enter and calming music is played too. I would not hesitate to recommend this home.
Thank you everybody for looking after my dad in the way that you do.

As a dedicated healthcare professional, Wayne has gained a wealth of experience in providing care and nursing support to elderly people, to enrich their lives. He is a knowledgeable and dedicated leader who is passionate about delivering the highest standards in care and quality of life for Residents.


Wayne closely shares HC-One’s vision in aiming to provide the kindest care for each and every Resident. He extends this caring approach to his Colleagues and works closely with them to deliver care and support to Residents in a way that they gain the most benefit, in a warm and welcoming home.


When asked what he enjoys most about his role and why he decided to work in the care sector, Wayne remarked:


“The variety of the role, providing a safe, happy and fun place to live and work.”
