Daisy Nook House

My aunty moved to Daisy Nook House 4 months ago and I am so pleased with the care they are providing. The home is extremely clean and the staff are very caring and welcoming to the family. I can tell my aunty is happy at Daisy Nook House and the care she has been given has improved her well-being and she is much more content. They are great at communication and are always happy to help with any questions and the staff genuinely care for the residents, the home is nicely decorated throughout the seasons and they organise activities to keep the residents entertained. It is a great relief to know your loved ones are being taken care of well. Thank you.

I visited my dad today and met one staff member. He was so lovely with my dad, very thoughtful and gentle - a natural carer. Thanks very much.

The care home staff are amazing and we know that our relative is being looked after very well. They treat him like a family member.

My aunty has lived in Daisy Nook for around a year and the difference in her is amazing. From a lady who never wanted to go into a home, this has now become her sanctuary. The staff are fantastic and we are always welcomed with a smiling face. There is never an odour and my aunty is always presented nice.

Mum moved into Daisy Nook House a couple of months ago and I am very pleased with the home in general. She had come from another care home which had closed down so she was very distressed but over time she appears to be quite settled. I find the staff very approachable as is the manager. Mum always looks cared for and everywhere is clean.

I visited an old neighbour, I was extremely impressed by the standard of the home. The staff were very helpful and all residents looked happy. There was lots going on around the home.

My mum has now been living here for over eight months. The staff have not just given my mum the utmost care, but have supported the family. This was a transition made easier with their empathy and understanding.

I have always been impressed with the staff and their care of my sister - who I know can be challenging at times. The cleanliness is also the best I have seen after seeing my mother and mother-in-law also in care. I have found the staff very helpful in facilitating my visits. All-round very pleased with my sister's care.

The staff at Daisy Nook House are great, they always have a warm welcome. Every time I go to visit, the home is clean and has no odour. There is a lovely family atmosphere. Staff are always very respectful. My friend has put on weight and looks a lot healthier and this is down to the care she is receiving and there is always cake!

My late uncle was a resident at Daisy Nook. The commitment the manager and his team have to the care of the residents is second to none and I would wholeheartedly recommend allowing Daisy' staff to look after your loved ones. It's not just a care home!

I find all the staff very friendly, informative and attentive. Moving Mum into a home was a tough decision but we made the best choice for her and she has been welcomed and settled in extremely well, even if Covid has made it difficult. The staff have done everything they can to support Mum and all the family.

You need to appreciate what you have! This is to the management.

I would like more activities. Also, some staff need training when dealing with a blind resident - I am confused when more than one person is speaking to me in my room. Otherwise, really good staff.

I can't tell you how extremely happy, as a family, we are to have my wife at Daisy Nook House Care Home. The staff are so considerate towards the residents and so understanding towards their needs. We looked at many homes before choosing Daisy Nook House and we were so lucky to have been able to get a place, thanks to the wonderful manager.

Mum has been in the care of the Daisy Nook House Care Home staff for over three years. This month was the first time we have been able to visit her in her room since the pandemic. How wonderful it was to see that the homes excellent standards have been maintained. Her room and the wider building we passed through were clean and fresh with doors open to the garden bringing in the warmth of the autumn day. Mum was as content as she has always been under the care of the devoted staff. During the past two years, we have shared in video calls, window visits and have been made aware of any changes in Mum's condition. All the staff should be praised for their commitment to providing only the best possible care for our loved ones and for that our family are truly grateful. You are all heroes.

My aunt came to Daisy Nook House Care Home in December 2020, during the pandemic. From the very first day, the staff treat my aunt with kindness and dignity. Since that date, they have all excelled themselves with their love, care and kindness towards her and to my aunt's extended family. Nothing is too much trouble and I can sleep at night knowing my aunt gets the very best of care.

We are unable to fully assess Mum's room as she only took up residency in December 2020 and due to the pandemic, we understandably have not been able to gain access.

The staff are worth their weight in gold.
