Daisy Nook House care home is nestled ideally within a peaceful area of Ashton-under-Lyne.

As well as being equipped with the skill and knowledge to offer personalised residential and residential dementia care to residents, the care team also work hard to ensure Daisy Nook House is a vibrant place to live. Led by an experienced and friendly Home Manager, they spend time learning about each individual resident and who they are as a person. This allows them to design a wellbeing and activities programme that offers things that everybody will enjoy, helping to keep residents engaged and living a fulfilled life.

My mum has been in Daisy Nook House now for over 10 years. I cannot fault any of the care and attention she has received over this time. The staff are brilliant with her and see to all her needs. I wouldn't wish for her to be anywhere else as she has Alzheimer's and has been slowly deteriorating over
the last few years. I would just like to thank everyone at Daisy Nook House.

Dad moved into Daisy Nook House in February 2022, he settled in great and the staff have been brilliant with him. Unfortunately, we moved Dad to be nearer family, so that they could come and visit him more often.

Mum's health has deteriorated recently and the care and compassion not just shown to mum but to family to has been amazing. The team have genuine knowledge and concern for what mum prefers and goes out of the way to make it happen even if sometimes it isn't easy. The communication of health issues and
the concern for her well-being has been right across the board with the team at Daisy Nook and I cannot speak highly enough of them. Leaving mum is never easy but knowing she is in such good, safe hands and she is as happy and as comfortable as she can be makes it a whole lot better and I cannot recommend the team at Daisy Nook enough.

My aunty moved to Daisy Nook House 4 months ago and I am so pleased with the care they are providing. The home is extremely clean and the staff are very caring and welcoming to the family. I can tell my aunty is happy at Daisy Nook House and the care she has been given has improved her well-being and
she is much more content. They are great at communication and are always happy to help with any questions and the staff genuinely care for the residents, the home is nicely decorated throughout the seasons and they organise activities to keep the residents entertained. It is a great relief to know your loved ones are being taken care of well. Thank you.

My aunty has lived in Daisy Nook for around a year and the difference in her is amazing. From a lady who never wanted to go into a home, this has now become her sanctuary. Mum moved into Daisy Nook House a couple of months ago and I am very pleased with the home in general. She had come from another care home which had closed down so she was very distressed but over time she appears to be quite settled. I find the staff very approachable as is the manager. Mum always

The staff at Daisy Nook House are great, they always have a warm welcome. Every time I go to visit, the home is clean and has no odour. There is a lovely family atmosphere. Staff are always very respectful. My friend has put on weight and looks a lot healthier and this is down to the care she is receiving

My late uncle was a resident at Daisy Nook. The commitment the manager and his team have to the care of the residents is second to none and I would wholeheartedly recommend allowing Daisy' staff to look after your loved ones. It's not just a care home!

The manager and his staff at Daisy Nook are amazing!
My sister moved here following stay's at two other care homes, both of which she hated.
I understand that it was difficult to please her when in reality she does not want to be anywhere else but back in her own home.
My sister settled in very
well and quickly at Daisy Nook, mainly due to the efforts of the friendly and welcoming staff.
She was not eating well before her arrival and was down to skin and bone. It was quickly identified that she was struggling to feed herself due to her shaking hands (Parkinson's). She loves the food at Daisy Nook and the carers take the time to help her eat her meals. she has since gained weight and looks far healthier.
I cannot praise Daisy Nook enough for the dignified care they provide to their residents. My sister now feels safe and happy to be part of the Daisy Nook family.
I would not hesitate to recommend Daisy Nook. Thank you for going that extra mile to make all your residents happy and settled.

I find all the staff very friendly, informative and attentive. Moving Mum into a home was a tough decision but we made the best choice for her and she has been welcomed and settled in extremely well, even if Covid has made it difficult. The staff have done everything they can to support Mum and all

The staff are absolutely amazing with the events they create for the residents and the fundraising they do to raise more money.
I must say that I feel the staff deserve a pay rise as I have never seen anybody work as hard as they do and the ethical way they work is just second to none.

I would like more activities. Also, some staff need training when dealing with a blind resident - I am confused when more than one person is speaking to me in my room. Otherwise, really good staff.

As a dedicated healthcare professional, Wayne has gained a wealth of experience in providing care and nursing support to elderly people, to enrich their lives. He is a knowledgeable and dedicated leader who is passionate about delivering the highest standards in care and quality of life for Residents.


Wayne closely shares HC-One’s vision in aiming to provide the kindest care for each and every Resident. He extends this caring approach to his Colleagues and works closely with them to deliver care and support to Residents in a way that they gain the most benefit, in a warm and welcoming home.


When asked what he enjoys most about his role and why he decided to work in the care sector, Wayne remarked:
