Nestled within the popular residential area of Dukinfield, Greater Manchester, Yew Trees Care Home is an attractive and purpose-built home, offering tastefully decorated and comfortable en-suite rooms to accommodate residential dementia care.

At Yew Trees, residents benefit from a range of lovely dining areas where they can relax and enjoy an intimate dining experience with family and friends. In addition to the popular dining rooms, residents can also enjoy mealtimes in the peaceful courtyard garden on sunny days.

It is so difficult to put into words how grateful my family and I are for the superb care our mother has received from the manager and her wonderful team.
All the staff are caring, helpful and amazing. Without doubt, we quickly had peace of mind knowing that our mother was safe, looked after and comfortable.
The management team are always happy to update us on how Mum is doing and we are always left with the feeling, they genuinely care about her well-being.
To everyone involved at Yew Trees a massive thank you.

My mum has been staying here on respite for the last couple of weeks after my father passed away. A really tough and challenging time for all of us. But made a lot easier by the care and attention of all the staff. We cannot fault them. Very friendly and approachable and still maintaining the care that
Mum needs. Mum will be moving on in the next few weeks and I wish we could take the staff with us. The only reason for moving is that this is not the right setting for Mum, Mum doesn't have dementia unlike the other residents and therefore will be moving to the residential home next door.

Alarming concerns within this home regarding care for our mum. A few months ago mum had fallen. Mum said she was pushed by a fellow resident - staff just gave her painkillers! When we visited mum that afternoon we could see the distress and pain mum was in and insisted that they call an ambulance -
mum had sustained a broken pelvis! 5 weeks ago mum had an injury to her leg caused by a falling coffee table, 2 weeks ago mum had another injury to the same leg again caused by a table falling on her that a carer was sat on at the time. After our persistent requests for a doctor to review Mum's leg and nothing acted upon at the home, we took mum to the hospital, now with infected leg ulcers and cellulitis and god knows what other health problems will come from this! We have asked for reports on all these incidents and still to date have got nothing! Some of the staff are lovely but some are dismissive of us because we ask questions about mums care she receives!

My mum has been here a year now. I wouldn't have her anywhere else. The management is great, friendly and always has time to talk to me if needed. The staff are lovely, caring and friendly. I am deaf; they take their time to make sure I understand everything I need to know regarding Mum. I have no complaints
at all. My mum is looked after. I don't worry about Mum, as I know she is taken care of.

My husband has lived and been cared for at Yew Trees since January 2021. We couldn't visit due to Covid restrictions, so had to put my trust in the staff. Their care and compassion have been wonderful, from management, care staff, cooks, cleaners and laundry - the best! I have been well informed of
all aspects of his care and then eventually allowed to visit. The staff have been incredibly kind, cheerful and helpful in the face of some challenging behaviour and pressured situations. He is now having end of life care, which is exemplary. The management has gone through the process with us and helped us understand what's happening. The staff here are marvellous.

I travelled some distance to visit my mum on a booked visit at this home, only to find out that the staff had let another family member take Mum out for the afternoon. I am very disappointed in the staff, they didn’t even telephone me to inform me Mum wouldn’t be there. I am very upset that I didn’t
get to see my mum in time for Mother’s Day. Communication is poor at this home and no apology either.

My father was in Yew Trees for ten months. We had to bring him out to another care home with nursing care. The staff really tried with my dad; they helped us as a family the best they could. Due to Covid restrictions, it must have been hard for the staff. I would recommend this care home to any family
thinking of putting their relative into care.

Putting a loved one in a care home is a huge commitment, but the care and the love that the staff at Yew Trees have shown our mother is amazing.
She had Covid in 2020, which we all didn't think she would make it, but with the care that the staff gave, Mum pulled her through it. She has recently caught
it again, and they have got her through it again.
The staff work tirelessly to look after their residents to create a warm friendly place for everyone, and I am so glad that we chose Yew trees as Mum's final home.

My older brother became a resident of Yew Trees care home last year with a diagnosis of vascular dementia. As can be imagined, all our family were heartbroken when we were told he needed full-time care and we worried about getting him a good care home. After a short time in Yew Trees, it soon became
apparent he was happy and this was because of the high quality of care provided by all the staff. It is heartwarming to know he is being cared for so well. Thank You.

The staff at Yew Trees are amazing and look after my grandma really well. During Covid when we have been limited in seeing her in person, it is a relief to know she is being so well looked after. She especially enjoys the food and has recovered such a good appetite thanks to the staff and good care

My Dad has advanced dementia and was diagnosed at a relatively young age. He was admitted to Yew Trees directly from A&E a few days after the lockdown was announced. We are a close family and this has been an unimaginably tough year for us. Since being admitted as a resident, Dad’s condition has stabilised
and his behaviour is calm. He is always clean and smartly dressed and is undoubtedly being well fed. Yew Trees provides a safe environment where the residents are encouraged to join in with activities and more often than not, there is music on in the background. The manager and her team have done their utmost to care for my Dad and help us feel reassured in what has been a horrendously difficult time for our family.

My mum was really in a bad way when we could no longer look after her at home because of her dementia. When we got her into Yew Trees, I didn't think she would settle and thought she would constantly play up, but the staff were fantastic with her and really made her feel part of a family, and now when
I talk to her, she tells me how much she enjoys it, which really puts my mind at rest.

Care from carers is brilliant, always there if I need anything. Food is very good. Although I am returning home, this is my 1st experience in a care home. I would definitely recommend Yew Tree.

My husband was admitted to Yew Trees in April 2020 and has been there ever since. It has been a very tough time for my family as none of us have been able to have any physical contact with him due to the Covid 19 virus. I would like to thank all the staff at Yew Trees for caring for him so well during

My Father had a fall in late January resulting in a fractured bone in the pelvis. The staff were very efficient in dealing with his requirements, special bed, district nurse and physiotherapy for later in his recovery. During lockdown dad had his 98th birthday, it was very hard not to spend that day
with him but the staff made time to celebrate with him, open cards etc, sing and made a video of it for me. Thank you Yew Trees manager and team.

Tonight (30/03/20) for the first time due to the coronavirus, I was able to video call my mum privately. Thanks to the lovely staff as this was the first time I could speak to my mum in three weeks. The manager and staff are a credit to YewTree. Thank you and take care.
