Hourigan House is a very warm, welcoming, clean provider to all it's service users. The staff are friendly and dedicated to providing first class care. The meals are home cooked and plenty of choice, with individual, personal choice taken into account. The laundry service provided is good and residents
clothes are immaculately cared for.

On respite care for 6 weeks, I cannot fault the staff. Extremely clean, laundry service very good, good choice of food. Overall good service.

Mum came to live at Hourigan House in September 2024. The home is spotlessly clean, food and choice is amazing. The rooms are kept lovely, the staff and management are brilliant.
I can't thank them enough for what they do for everyone, not only mum. Mum is well settled and happy.

The staff go above and beyond their everyday duties, nothing is too much trouble for all the residents and their families. Always have a smile on their faces. My mother-in-law had withdrawn before coming to live at Hourigan House. She is now joining in with residents and staff. They treat her with dignity,
respect and she is now happy and smiling.

Very good service to the residents the food is excellent and the people that work in the home are great and very nice with the residents. The rooms are excellent and clean. The fun and games the residents play are good.

I have had good visits to the home to see my mother and she has been well looked after....also good telephone/E-mail communications and updates on mother's health etc. Our family are very happy with the care our mother is receiving.

Mum had always been reluctant to go into a care home however in late 2022 we were left with no choice. The staff have been fantastic with Mum since the day she arrived, she can at times get frustrated due to her condition however the staff know how to deal with her so that she has a happy smiley face.
I am happy with her being at Hourigan House, safe, in the knowledge that she is being well looked after.

The whole “house” is brilliant. The care and support it offers is outstanding. The available activities are fantastic. The cleanliness and the food is great. You are always made to feel welcome when you go visiting.

I always find the care home to be great. The staff work very hard and are very caring towards Mum and the other residents. They are also very patient with what must be a very difficult job. I always find that they really enjoy their work and are a pleasure to deal with.

Mum went into Hourigan House in May which was a major decision for us as a family to make but the staff have been wonderful in supporting her transition to full-time care. I cannot fault the staff in terms of cheerfulness and commitment to looking after her. Visitors always receive a warm welcome. Mum
refers to it as her home and at 102 this is a huge comfort to our family especially after so long of having her own independent style of living.

Our mum went into Hourigan House for respite last year. Our family became overwhelmed with Mum’s progression of her dementia but mainly the safety issues too. It was an extremely difficult and upsetting decision for us to make.
From walking in on that 1st day, all the staff are so kind, caring and
thoughtful, nothing is too much trouble. Our mum’s always been outgoing and loves nothing more than having a good chat. We can’t believe the difference, not just in her confidence but also her mobility. She loves taking part in the crafts, flower arranging, games etc.
The reassurance we now have that mum’s being looked after in such a wonderful place, that not only takes care of her personal and physical needs but also understands the importance of emotional needs too. We can only say it’s outstanding!
Hourigan House is now Mum’s home and we would highly recommend anybody looking for a caring, friendly environment for their loved ones, to look here first.

My mother is very settled in Hourigan House after a period of supported living which became too difficult due to dementia. Her room is nice, always clean and tidy. She says the food is good and it appears so. The whole place is quite spacious and well-equipped. Now the staff - they are really excellent,
all of them. Always kind and polite to residents and visitors and seems to enjoy the work and care for the residents. My mother joins in some of the activities and there is a hairdresser who visits and trips out. We looked long and hard before deciding on this home and we do not regret it.

Staff are very friendly and go above and beyond to ensure my grandmother is happy and well cared for.
Lots of activities are organised at the home.
Very clean facilities and my grandmother's room has everything she needs.
Meals are homemade and lots of choices.

My mother went into the nursing home a frail depressed and angry lady. I told my brother and sister she would be dead in two weeks. The transformation has been nothing short of miraculous. The staff have cared for her in a way I didn't think possible when is now a healthy and happy person and loving
life, and this is all down to the love and care the staff have afforded her. I will be forever grateful to Hourigan House because without them my mother would not be here.

From going in I have never had a problem, my mum has settled really well. Lovely care staff, very friendly and fantastic with my mum. What has really helped is all the activities that they do with them. If I have any concerns I know that I can go to any member of staff and they will try to resolve it.

This was Mum's first stay in a care home, it was a two-week visit. Mum was a little reluctant at first but the staff were wonderful, professional, caring and helpful. Mum loved her time there, enjoyed the company and entertainment. The food was excellent. She asked to go again! Thank you to the staff

My sister was sent to Hourigan House after a long illness and the outcome didn’t look bright for her. However, over a 12 month period, the staff and carers changed my sister's life around so much so she was able to go and live independently. Not only were the staff caring and respectful at all times
they became like family and still keep in touch.
I always said I would never go into a care home but I can honestly say I would go into Hourigan House if ever I needed to. My sister has always said she will go back when the time is right. Thank you so much for all you have done.

My mother has been a resident at Hourigan House for just over three years. I can only say that since she moved into what she calls "my little flat", she has never been so happy.
Her care is superb, all the staff are very attentive, friendly, well trained and sympathetic to residents needs. So Hourigan
