My dad went into Thorley House as he wasn’t in the best of health or condition, since being in there his recovery and appearance is there to see.
The staff/management and the cleaners, are all very very pleasant and welcoming when you visit. It is clean and fresh throughout.
Dad loves it in there,
you can see how much patience all the staff have with the people that reside there. Always have a smile and kind words.
The help they have given to Dad is exceptional and I can only thank them for a wonderful and excellent job they do caring for all.

My dad has lived at Thorley House since November 2008, so that in itself shows the care he receives. My dad prefers his own company, and this is respected by all staff; they always let him know what's happening within the home so he can participate should he choose to. Quite a few members of staff are
still there from when he first went to live at Thorley, again a testament to the long-standing members of the staff team. The past few years have been a difficult time for residents and relatives; I thank everyone for the care they delivered then and continue to deliver. The home is always clean, thanks to the domestic team. The cooks do their utmost to cater for different tastes and offer a variety of meals. Dad is more of a night owl, and this is respected by the night staff team. If he wants something to eat, drink or just chat; they do this for him. Management is approachable and will address any concerns you may have, and nothing is too much trouble for anyone and often go above and beyond.

Thorley House care home is a lovely place to stay in and visit. Every care is taken to make sure the residents are well and truly looked after and visitors also. The staff are exceptional; it's like a home from home.
The entertainment is second to none also and has lots of variety.
I would highly
recommend Thorley House to anyone who is looking for a safe and friendly place for their relative.

Cannot fault the home at all!
Defo five stars from us all as a family.

My mum is in Thorley House, and I can't praise the staff high enough who care for my mum. She is well looked after and cared for. The home is well-kept and clean, and the food is freshly cooked every day. The staff are in regular contact if they need anything for Mum or any medical treatment. I would

My mother has been a resident at Thorley House now for a number of years. She has always been shown the utmost kindness and given second to none care and support. I have great respect for all the staff in the everyday care for my mother. I would not hesitate to recommend Thorley House to anyone. Furthermore,

My mum stayed at Thorley House for two weeks of respite care. Her overall experience was a positive one, and she spoke extremely highly of all the staff who attended to her everyday needs. Her problems with low vision and poor mobility were catered for, and she was always treated with dignity and respect.
I would have no hesitation in my mum staying at Thorley House as and when needed in the future.

Since Dad moved in late last summer, he has been in a better frame of mind. He was very apprehensive in making the decision to move into a home but says he made the right decision. It has been difficult with all the lockdowns and Covid but hopefully, it is starting to improve so we can see him more
often. It is a wonderful place and the staff are amazing. Thank you.

My brother has been at Thorley House since 2018. They have looked after him very well, and the staff and management are great, who I have got to know. They do a brilliant job, especially over the Covid outbreak, when I know they had staff shortages and lost some residents - very sad. A big thank you

Although I have submitted this review in regards to June 2021 it is also an ongoing compliment. The staff here are fantastic with the residents and nothing seems too much trouble for them. They are very supportive with families and their loved ones. They do their utmost to keep the residents occupied
and regularly post reassuring proof of this on social media (consent gained beforehand). This has been very welcomed during recent times. A great big thank you to the manager and her staff. You’re all doing a great job!

Nothing is too much for all the carers and all of the office staff, my mother-in-law was a resident in the home a few years ago. She was looked after so well, never caught any harm there. Now it is my mother who is in the care home at the moment and my wife and myself are so pleased with the care that
she and all the clients are getting.

My mum who is 95 years old went into Thorley House in August 2020. It was a difficult time for anyone with a family member needing care but Thorley House stuck to the rules and yet went out of their way to try and maintain family contact. Once the regulations eased and after having a negative covid
test I was able to go inside the home to spend some time with mum but yesterday, 12th May 2021, I was finally able to take mum out for a few hours and it was a wonderful day for both of us. I asked mum how she felt about being in Thorley House and she was full of praise for it. She said she was content and the staff were all good to her and they worked very hard, she said the home was spotlessly clean and the food was very good. As her daughter, this made me so happy to know. It's never an easy decision when someone you love has to go into care but knowing mum is being well cared for and is content is all I could hope and pray for. Thank you to the Manager and all the staff for all you do.

Local staff are personable and treat residents as individuals, with respect and dignity. Staff are really good at communication with families too. I cannot fault Thorley House and how they have cared for my Dad during his stay and in particular during the COVID-19 Pandemic.

Carers are lovely and extremely attentive and look after my grandma brilliantly. They treat her like she’s family. My grandma is settled in the care home and is happy there which is lovely to see. Communication with families could be improved slightly but with the introduction of the Facebook group,
it is starting to. I’m extremely happy that my grandma is at Thorley House.

Mum has been in Thorley House since December. We were unsure of mum going into a care home but the staff have been very caring and reassuring. It's a very homely environment and would recommend Thorley House to any family looking for a care home for their loved ones.

My experience is that Thorley House is very homely, very caring and they treat people with dignity.
My aunt is in Thorley House and does not have dementia, so at times it can be difficult for her. She is only 78 and has mental health issues which deteriorates when she is not being cared for and at
Thorley House, they treat her as an individual.

When I was looking for a care home for my uncle there was only one place I would have wanted him to go in to. Thorley House gave him the best care anyone could have wished for in the last months of his life. He was treated with respect from day one and up to his last hours. The staff not only looked
after him but also, us as a family, nothing was a trouble for them. The home is kept to a very high standard with cleanliness and very friendly. Our family would highly recommend this home for your loved ones. Once again thank you for your care and support that you showed to us and to my uncle, I know he would have appreciated it.

The way my uncle was cared for here was brilliant. In addition to caring for my uncle, the compassion and support that all the staff provided to my family was outstanding at a very difficult time. I would highly recommend Thorley House to anyone who was looking for Residential Care for a loved one.
