Special thanks to the manager, who went out of her way to make sure Mum was comfortable and well looked after. She was approachable, compassionate, and clearly cared about the residents. It gave us peace of mind knowing Mum was safe and treated with respect. I'm grateful for the care they provided.
Thank you for your heartfelt feedback. We're so pleased to hear that your mother was cared for and happy at Thorley House. It's truly our privilege to support our residents and their families with compassion and respect.
My mum has just returned home from enjoying a respite visit. It was wonderful in every way. The home is immaculate and every member of staff so friendly and caring. Noting was too much trouble. She ate well and enjoyed making friends. She even went out on a boat trip. Everyone made my mum feel so welcome. Her room was beautifully prepared, and she just relaxed from the very start. Before booking respite, we had visited around a dozen local homes, and this was her standout favourite. It lived up to all our expectations and she is looking forward to staying again.
Thank you for your kind words. We're so pleased your mum had a wonderful respite stay at Thorley House. I will pass your kind sentiments onto the home team.
All the staff are very friendly and go out of their way to care for her.
We only have a positive outlook regarding her stay, well done to all.
Thank you for your kind words. We're so pleased to hear that your relative is happy at Thorley House. Our team is dedicated to going the extra mile, and your positive feedback means a lot.
My mum meant the world to me and I needed that reassurance that she was going to get looked after, cared for in a way that she so much deserved and that is exactly what she received. We always found the staff very friendly, polite, helpful and supportive. The manager was very professional and compassionate as were all of her team, the carers, cleaners, cooks, entertainment staff, they saw to my mums every need, were there at the press of a button, they would look in on her just to ask if she needed anything, a bit of company, nothing was to much trouble for them. Mum very sadly passed away in here and there was no better place that I would have preferred her to be, she was treated with respect and dignity they were amazing.
Thank you so much for your heartfelt words. We are truly honoured to have cared for your mum and to know she felt supported and respected. Your kind feedback means a lot to our team.

The quality of care is outstanding. From tailored support for Mum and Dad's individual needs, everything is handled with professionalism and compassion. It's so reassuring to know that my parents are in such capable hands.
What really stands out is the emphasis on wellbeing. The activities, the social interactions and the attention to mental and emotional health are remarkable. The home and bedrooms are spotless and tidy. The team does such a fantastic job creating a warm, family-like environment. My parents are not just being cared for-they are thriving. I'm so grateful for everything they do for my family.

My mum was clean, well-fed, entertained and treated like family.
A huge thank you from me.
Kind regards.
This is an end-of-life review. Mum was treated with dignity and compassion. Staff obviously care. Their treatment of me was above anything I expected. I stayed with Mum for the last eight days of her life. When I had to leave her someone stayed with her. I was given meals, the quality of which was excellent. Everything was of an excellent standard.
Kind regards,
Rahi.
When visiting Thorley House on a fortnightly basis with our PAT dog all the residents we meet are well looked after. The premises are spotless and the staff are kind and caring. Lots of activities are organised by their activity coordinator.

My mother-in-law has been a resident at Thorley House for just over a year. We can not thank the Manager and the staff enough for the way they treat mum, she is always well dressed, clean and smiling when we visit, she has made a good group of friends and they are always chatting or doing activities when we arrive. I think her quality of life has greatly improved since moving to Thorley House she loves her food and has put well-needed weight on since arriving. I would not hesitate to recommend Thorley House to anyone who is thinking of respite or long-term care for themselves or a family member.
We truly appreciate your kind words about Thorley House. Creating a joyful and compassionate atmosphere for our residents and visitors is our top priority. Thank you for noticing the efforts of our staff; your kind words mean a lot.
Kind regards,
The staff/management and the cleaners, are all very very pleasant and welcoming when you visit. It is clean and fresh throughout.
Dad loves it in there, you can see how much patience all the staff have with the people that reside there. Always have a smile and kind words.
The help they have given to Dad is exceptional and I can only thank them for a wonderful and excellent job they do caring for all.
Kind regards.
My dad has lived at Thorley House since November 2008, so that in itself shows the care he receives. My dad prefers his own company, and this is respected by all staff; they always let him know what's happening within the home so he can participate should he choose to. Quite a few members of staff are still there from when he first went to live at Thorley, again a testament to the long-standing members of the staff team. The past few years have been a difficult time for residents and relatives; I thank everyone for the care they delivered then and continue to deliver. The home is always clean, thanks to the domestic team. The cooks do their utmost to cater for different tastes and offer a variety of meals. Dad is more of a night owl, and this is respected by the night staff team. If he wants something to eat, drink or just chat; they do this for him. Management is approachable and will address any concerns you may have, and nothing is too much trouble for anyone and often go above and beyond.
It is our pleasure to care for your father and we ensure to maintain the best care possible at all times. We appreciate your kindness and support, I will pass your kind words to the home team.
Kind regards,Rahi.
The entertainment is second to none also and has lots of variety.
I would highly recommend Thorley House to anyone who is looking for a safe and friendly place for their relative.
Kind regards,
Rahi.
Defo five stars from us all as a family.
All staff are welcoming and lovely.
The home itself has a warm, homely feeling to it.
Thank you so much to all the staff who work hard to care for the residents.
Kind Regards,
Rahi.
My mum is in Thorley House, and I can't praise the staff high enough who care for my mum. She is well looked after and cared for. The home is well-kept and clean, and the food is freshly cooked every day. The staff are in regular contact if they need anything for Mum or any medical treatment. I would highly recommend Thorley House to care for your loved one.
Kind regards,
Rahi.
My mother has been a resident at Thorley House now for a number of years. She has always been shown the utmost kindness and given second to none care and support. I have great respect for all the staff in the everyday care for my mother. I would not hesitate to recommend Thorley House to anyone. Furthermore, my mother is very happy there and that is a great comfort to me and all her family.
My mum stayed at Thorley House for two weeks of respite care. Her overall experience was a positive one, and she spoke extremely highly of all the staff who attended to her everyday needs. Her problems with low vision and poor mobility were catered for, and she was always treated with dignity and respect. I would have no hesitation in my mum staying at Thorley House as and when needed in the future.
Kind regards.
Since Dad moved in late last summer, he has been in a better frame of mind. He was very apprehensive in making the decision to move into a home but says he made the right decision. It has been difficult with all the lockdowns and Covid but hopefully, it is starting to improve so we can see him more often. It is a wonderful place and the staff are amazing. Thank you.
Dear Kathryn, thank you for sharing your thoughts with us. We are happy to hear your Dad is well-cared for, and we strive to maintain our high-care standards for our residents. I will be sure to pass your kind words on to the team. Best Regards, Rahi.
My brother has been at Thorley House since 2018. They have looked after him very well, and the staff and management are great, who I have got to know. They do a brilliant job, especially over the Covid outbreak, when I know they had staff shortages and lost some residents - very sad. A big thank you to the manager and the staff.
Thank you for the review, it means a lot to all the staff for your feedback.
