Since Dad moved in late last summer, he has been in a better frame of mind. He was very apprehensive in making the decision to move into a home but says he made the right decision. It has been difficult with all the lockdowns and Covid but hopefully, it is starting to improve so we can see him more
often. It is a wonderful place and the staff are amazing. Thank you.

My brother has been at Thorley House since 2018. They have looked after him very well, and the staff and management are great, who I have got to know. They do a brilliant job, especially over the Covid outbreak, when I know they had staff shortages and lost some residents - very sad. A big thank you
to the manager and the staff.

All of the family are very satisfied with the care our Mum receives at Thorley House. We have no complaints at all and wouldn't like her to be anywhere else.

Although I have submitted this review in regards to June 2021 it is also an ongoing compliment. The staff here are fantastic with the residents and nothing seems too much trouble for them. They are very supportive with families and their loved ones. They do their utmost to keep the residents occupied
and regularly post reassuring proof of this on social media (consent gained beforehand). This has been very welcomed during recent times. A great big thank you to the manager and her staff. You’re all doing a great job!

Nothing is too much for all the carers and all of the office staff, my mother-in-law was a resident in the home a few years ago. She was looked after so well, never caught any harm there. Now it is my mother who is in the care home at the moment and my wife and myself are so pleased with the care that
she and all the clients are getting.

My mum who is 95 years old went into Thorley House in August 2020. It was a difficult time for anyone with a family member needing care but Thorley House stuck to the rules and yet went out of their way to try and maintain family contact. Once the regulations eased and after having a negative covid
test I was able to go inside the home to spend some time with mum but yesterday, 12th May 2021, I was finally able to take mum out for a few hours and it was a wonderful day for both of us. I asked mum how she felt about being in Thorley House and she was full of praise for it. She said she was content and the staff were all good to her and they worked very hard, she said the home was spotlessly clean and the food was very good. As her daughter, this made me so happy to know. It's never an easy decision when someone you love has to go into care but knowing mum is being well cared for and is content is all I could hope and pray for. Thank you to the Manager and all the staff for all you do.

Local staff are personable and treat residents as individuals, with respect and dignity. Staff are really good at communication with families too. I cannot fault Thorley House and how they have cared for my Dad during his stay and in particular during the COVID-19 Pandemic.

Carers are lovely and extremely attentive and look after my grandma brilliantly. They treat her like she’s family. My grandma is settled in the care home and is happy there which is lovely to see. Communication with families could be improved slightly but with the introduction of the Facebook group,
it is starting to. I’m extremely happy that my grandma is at Thorley House.

Mum has been in Thorley House since December. We were unsure of mum going into a care home but the staff have been very caring and reassuring. It's a very homely environment and would recommend Thorley House to any family looking for a care home for their loved ones.

My experience is that Thorley House is very homely, very caring and they treat people with dignity.
My aunt is in Thorley House and does not have dementia, so at times it can be difficult for her. She is only 78 and has mental health issues which deteriorates when she is not being cared for and at
Thorley House, they treat her as an individual.

When I was looking for a care home for my uncle there was only one place I would have wanted him to go in to. Thorley House gave him the best care anyone could have wished for in the last months of his life. He was treated with respect from day one and up to his last hours. The staff not only looked
after him but also, us as a family, nothing was a trouble for them. The home is kept to a very high standard with cleanliness and very friendly. Our family would highly recommend this home for your loved ones. Once again thank you for your care and support that you showed to us and to my uncle, I know he would have appreciated it.

The way my uncle was cared for here was brilliant. In addition to caring for my uncle, the compassion and support that all the staff provided to my family was outstanding at a very difficult time. I would highly recommend Thorley House to anyone who was looking for Residential Care for a loved one.

My dad was in Thorley House for about 8 months. From the day he went in until the day he passed away he was treated with the utmost respect, compassion and love. If my dad was still here he would tell you it was the best decision for him. The Manager and her team do a fantastic job. When we used to
visit, no matter what time we went, the staff were always happy and helpful. In the last few days of my dad’s life the Manager and her team helped me cope with losing him and for that I will be eternally grateful. Thank you so much.

It is never easy choosing a care home for your loved ones, as both my parents are now in them.
My Dad who is now 93 years old went into Thorley House April 2017, after having a bad fall in October 2016 breaking his femur, he can no longer stand now and has to be hoisted.
He absolutely love's it and
tells me that it is more like a hotel because he is allowed to do what he wants and is very happy there.
All the Staff from top to bottom are excellent, very friendly and caring, always on hand to help should I need any advice or guidance and this has continued from day one, their standards have not dropped at all in any way, they cannot do enough for him or me.
Cannot fault Thorley House, if I could I would transfer my Mother there but her needs are far worse.

Thorley House is a well-managed care home which provided a safe home for my mother during a period of respite care. The staff were unfailingly warm and caring towards Mum and always welcomed contact from family members visiting or inquiring about her.
They were reassuring and considerate during some
quite testing times and always able to provide good advice.

Just a quick note to say 'thank you' to the staff at Thorley House Residential Care Home. Mum has been with you since September 2015 and has settled in well. I can only say that I have found all the staff to be caring and friendly, and go the extra distance to make Mum comfortable. Recently Mum celebrated
her 90th birthday, staff kindly arranged a party with entertainment for her and friends also setting out the visitors lounge with her cards and refreshments for her visitors. Needless to say, Mum had a great time. Once again I can't stress enough how thankful both Mum and myself are to all the staff. Great service.

I would like to express my gratitude to members of staff for their care towards my two aunties. These managers and carers go above and beyond to care for the elderly.
The care and quality of Thorley is excellent in every way.
Kindness, thoughtfulness, nothing is too much trouble.
I would recommend
the care home to anyone.
They extended the lives of my two aunties.
One auntie always said it is like Buckingham Palace.
