My mother absolutely loves all staff she enjoys the meals (says she needs to stop eating so much food but to good to waste).
Very good care home
Lovely home.
My mum went it to roby house in November 25 ,she was unsettled at first and not to happy. we told the staff and they helped her through the early stages and spoke to mum and made her more relaxed. I found all the staff helpful and friendly. The room was very clean and tidy, the food always looked nice.
Mum joined roby house in November on the nursing unit and we found her care to be very good .The place is very clean and bright. The meals looked very tasty and mum said they were too.The staff were excellent, friendly and caring .Saddly we lost mum in January so she was only there for a short time but the nursing staff were so good right till the end with mum and towards us as a family .
Roby House is the epitomy of excellence. From first contact to admission of my father I was treated with great care at what was a stressful time. My father has settled in much better than I expected. Clerical, care, cleaning, medical, laundry service and activities cannot be praised more highly. Dad has thrived in every way and regained his sparkle. A wonderful warm and caring home that I would highly recommend.
My mum went to Roby House and the care, love + support that she and us a as a family have received has been overwhelming. When mum passed the staff were phenomenal. I would like you to post something to them to let them know that we are so grateful to them. From kitchen, laundry, nurses, healthcare all have been fantastic and please recognise this and let them all know how special they are. Keep doing what there doing.
I would recommend Roby House to anyone in the future.
My mother is currently a resident at Roby House - Both my mother and the family have nothing but praise for the staff and the care provided here. There are numerous activities on a daily basis and residents are regularly asked what their interests are to make sure there's something for everyone, should they wish to join in. Nothing is too much trouble. All residents and their families are treated with utmost respect. I can't praise this establishment enough. Thank you.
My father was cared for at Roby House for three years. It was a difficult decision for my Mum to make but it was the right choice. We want to thank all the staff who cared for my Dad and Mum who visited him almost every day during that time. We always felt a warm welcome when visiting, staff would always be willing to help even when there was a shortage of staff. The staff also arranged a birthday party for the family and residents to celebrate my Dad's 90th birthday which we are thankful for as my Dad was not strong enough at that time to leave the home. We will remember with thankful hearts the final weeks when my Dad and the family were looked after. The professionalism, concern and care was exceptional. We will never forget how you lined up outside the Home during the funeral procession. We had a few tears when we saw the genuine affection and respect you showed towards my Father that day. Many thanks to you all.
I am extremely impressed with the approachability I have with the staff and how they listen and act upon any request I have made to them. The receptionist and the nursing staff deserve special mention, nothing is too much to ask and dealt with either immediately or within one day depending on the request. Also several of the auxiliary staff two of them in particular strive every day to make the residents comfortable. The Home itself is kept clean and tidy. Mum doesn’t use many of the social facilities as she is bed-bound now but they are available and she is encouraged to attend. Well done Roby House for everything you do.
The fact is that she is fortunate to reside with Roby House and the wonderful staff who care for her and look after her needs.
The number and severity of her falls have reduced as the staff comes to know her well. For example, they allow her to stay up late watching TV and wake her early mirroring her home life with her sadly departed husband.
This alone has made her time here in tune with her family life that she no longer thinks that it is anything other than her own home.
The staff at Roby House were amazing with my father after he had a nasty fall and cut his head they were all very caring and supportive while waiting for the ambulance to arrive special mention to three staff members in particular.
I met with the manager and another staff member who were both really professional in their approach and I could tell they really have the residents' best interests at heart. Very caring and warm atmosphere in the home. Ten out of ten would recommend this home.
The staff are always very helpful and obliging. They are very welcoming in what could be a trying time for your family. The home is very clean and kept like that all the time. The staff are very good at keeping you up to date with what’s going on with my mum’s health. They were also good at giving me advice as it’s something I haven’t done before. The food is always served nice and hot, with the staff always making sure the residents are always happy with it. All in all a very good care home.
Thank you so very much.
Staff members are amazing and caring people and deserve a lot of respect and praise.
I will be contacting the CQC to inform them of the very poor quality of this home. The list is endless. I am abhorred by the disgraceful attitude of the manager, dismissive-no compassion non caring attitude or interest shown as to why we removed our mum so quickly. Do not put your loved one in here.
Thank you for bringing your concerns to our attention. Due to the very serious nature of the allegations you have raised, and our inability to investigate these fully without verifying the legitimacy of your concerns, we ask that you get in touch at robyhouse.meridian@hc-one.co.uk to discuss in more detail.
All the staff at Roby House are truly dedicated and nothing is too much trouble for any of them. Our mum has been there for the past month, previously having been at hospital for six months after suffering an extensive stroke. She is settling really well at Roby House. The caring, supportive staff have definitely helped the transition from hospital to be a positive one. Hopefully, she will progress further with the continued support and care. Thanks so much for all your hard work and for taking care of our precious mum.
I am just so pleased my son was allocated a room in Roby House. My son took residence in April 2022. It’s not what you want as a mother, you’re son being in a care home, but my son was really disabled with multiple sclerosis, which he suffered with for 27yrs. In the beginning my son wanted to go home, but, within a couple of months, he was happy. This was down to the wonderful, caring, helpful and friendly staff. My son and I were made to feel so relaxed, we felt like family. My son died in February 2023. The staff were truly amazing and supportive. I miss the girls/women and guys.
I find the home to good standards, and my wife is well cared for, and all the staff do a good job. Thank you.
