All the bright and comfortable bedrooms have en-suite facilities, a nurse call system, and spaces that are easily accessible by wheelchair. Communal areas are comprised of a choice of lounges and dining areas.

Care has improved but could do with more staff particularly the weekend. Would like to see management having a presence downstairs time to time.
Isn't it about time to re-cover the furniture in the lounge?

We would like to re-assure you that following a review of our staffing levels we have recently recruited a number of staff for the home who will start over the next few weeks. The Home Manager regularly walks around both floors in the home, we also have a Deputy in the home, who supports the Home Manager particularly during the holiday period, both are happy to discuss any concerns with Residents and their family.

The home is due to have some refurbishment work on both floors in the home which will include new carpets and furniture. We are waiting for the start date for this work to be confirmed.

My mum has been in their care for 4 years - all health problems however big a small have been dealt without a problem. Lovely staff who have looked after her for years. I have no complaints at all. Forgot to add, the rooms are lovely.

Attending a garden party lovely to see the residents singing and dancing. Good engagement by the staff with the residents up dancing with them.

Staff are very caring and look after my mother with compassion. Mum seems to be happy and is always well groomed. Her room is always clean and tidy.

My dad is suffering from advanced Alzheimers and has difficulty communicating and mobility problems. After an unsatisfactory stay for respite care in another home, we had some trepidation about his entry into Roby. We could not have been more wrong. The staff are caring and considerate and show genuine concern for the welfare of the residents. The rooms are airy and bright and the facilities very good. We are very impressed by the new manager who has an open door policy and is very approachable. In short, we are delighted by the treatment received at Roby. Thank you!

I have been here around 18 months. Service has been quite good, but quite a few changes due to a change of management and ownership. A lot of things have improved but it is taking time and it is encouraging.

I recently visited here to pay a visit to my gran. The first thing I noticed when I walked into the place was how clean and fresh the place was.I was greeted by a member of staff who were all very pleasant, friendly, and very professional and competent in the jobs they were doing. My Gran is very settled at this care home and when I spoke to her she was very happy and very content with where she was and with the people around her. She said all the staff were amazing and she was very happy with the care she had received during her time here. She even mentioned the meals she had received and said they were too a very high standard. The manager Lee even took time out too come over and introduce himself and say hello. He was very friendly and polite and greeted us with a smile and you see just by talking to him that he was very passionate about his job. He assured me that my gran would receive the highest standards of care while she was with them. Highly recommended 10/10 rated.

The facilities here are fantastic, especially after the new management has been put into place. This is definitely a care home I'd recommend to anybody who is struggling with a family member or who knows if anybody who is struggling.

As a Registered Nurse, Lee gained many years’ experience in providing care and support for older people to enrich their lives. He is a knowledgeable and committed leader who is passionate about delivering the highest possible
standards in care and quality of life for
Residents.

Lee joined Roby House as Home Manager because he closely shares HC-One’s vision in aiming to provide the kindest care for each and every Resident.

He uses his experience to motivate his team to deliver care and support in a way that Residents gain the most benefit, in a warm and welcoming home.

He also works hard to arrange events and activities with nearby organisations and is always quick to welcome the local community to Roby House.

When asked what he enjoys most about his role, Lee remarked: “I enjoy the challenge of providing the most effective, person-centred care we possibly can for our Residents.”

Outside of work, Lee enjoys participating in a range of sports including football and golf.
