It is so comforting to know that my mum is well looked after. The staff at Beechside Residential Care Home are exceptional. They always go above and beyond. My mum was quite agitated when she first arrived but now she is completely content.

Overall Experience

After a very difficult decision, it became necessary for my Dad to go into a care home following a fall and also when dementia took hold. Beechside was by far the most homely and friendliest place we visited. Over the time, my Dad was there - nearly 5 and a half years, my family have seen even more improvements in terms of decoration. It is not like a "care home" in the sense that it is more like a bed and breakfast with fresh pictures and laminate flooring and always fresh smelling/clean. At Christmas time, it is beautiful. My Mum and I visited the poetry sessions regularly on a Tuesday morning, which were great, as they triggered so much conversation and memory sharing. It is also right next to the local Park, so for many years, we would wheel my Dad out to the park to see the children on the playground or have a cup of tea in the café or go to the funfair. The staff were relaxed about visitors and we sometimes shared a meal with Dad. I am so grateful. Thank you.

Dad was a resident in this home for over two years. He was very well cared for and came into his own while he was there. He fllourished under the kind care and attention he received. I can not speak highly enough of the staff in this home.
