All staff treated residents with respect and were kind, caring and fun. Parkside was always clean, so important. Mum enjoyed the food, also important. A variety of activities, eg. crafts, bingo, singalongs, excercises, entertainers, hairdresser & chiropodist visited. Birthdays recognized and decorated at Easter, Xmas, Halloween etc. My mum was at Parkside for 3½ years and if she had not been happy there we would have gone elsewhere. As mum neared the end, the staff cared for her, and us, with dignity and sensitivity, we cannot fault them.
Our aim is to support our residents in ways that they want. Cleanliness, dignity, good food and, as you say, fun are all important. Our staff are chosen for their caring nature and the skill, professionalism and the the ability to offer appropriate care to each resident. Thank you for your kind comments and it is great to hear your mum was happy at Parkside.
She became unwell in February 2026 and ended up in hospital in March. She hated the indignity that she suffered in hospital and said she wanted to go home, by home she meant Parkside as she considered this her home.
She was placed on End of Life and we desperately fought to get her out of the hospital, she expressed her relief to the staff when she arrived back in her own room.
The staff at Parkside could not have done more to make her comfortable and meet her every need until she passed away in her sleep. The staff were excellent with me, my sister and other relatives as we sat with our Aunt. They allowed privacy but also lots of cups of teas , sandwiches and supported us on the emotional roller coaster. We thank Emma and her staff.
If you can't be at home, Parkside is an excellent alternative. I am forever thankful to the team for the care they have given to Dad.
Thank you so much for your kind comments. The team are encouraged by compliments and then strive to do even better.
We would highly recommend Parkside Care Home.
Many thanks for your kind comments. The care team will be encouraged to do even better when we inform them of your review.
The staff are very friendly and efficient.
My comment about activities are poor that I can see, bearing in mind cost restraints.
Thank you for your kind comments they are much appreciated. Our aim is that each resident is well cared for and supported well as part of our 'family' at Parkside.
Very pleasant staff, very accommodating. Good food. Very friendly and always glad to help.
Thank you for taking the time to send a review and your kind words. It is always encouraging to receive feedback and to know you are happy with the care provided at Parkside.
When Dad first moved into Parkside Care Home, both ourselves (siblings) and himself were very apprehensive. We soon learned there was absolutely no need to be at all! He is extremely happy; well cared for in a beautifully clean and calming environment. He loves the food and can't speak highly enough of the cook. All staff, from carers to cleaners, work so hard. The activity coordinator is a breath of fresh air, always with a smile and kind words. We are happy.
Thank you for your kind comments and positive feedback on the care your father receives at Parkside. We try to ensure each resident feels happy and content in their new home. Equally important is that family members are also happy.
The care Mum has received from all staff members has been excellent.
Mum has, at all times, had clean clothes on. Her appearance has always been immaculate.
Mum's room has always been spotless and she's just loved being there.
The staff have been so professional and treated my mum with the care and dignity she deserves.
I have been able to leave after visits and know my mum has been well looked after and I've not had to worry about anything.
I really can't thank everyone enough and would recommend the home to anyone thinking of placing family members in Parkside.
I'm really grateful. Thank you.
Thank you for taking the time to leave such a positive review of our care home. We are delighted to hear that you and your relative have had a pleasant experience and we appreciate your kind words about our staff and facilities.
At Parkside we strive to provide the highest quality of...
Appalling service from the manager here. I would not recommend this place for loved ones. 15 minutes to answer a bell, a week without a bath or shower. Not getting appropriate medical help when needed. I would seriously advise people to look elsewhere.
Sometimes staff may be slow to answer the door as they may be supporting residents. Mr B was asked every day if he would like to bathe but he refused. As he has capacity to make this decision, we cannot force him.
Regarding...
My grandad was a resident at Parkside for three years. The care given by all the staff was absolutely fantastic. He was always clean and well looked after, hospital staff even commented on how well looked after he was when he was admitted. If you're looking for a home where your relative is cared for in the way they should be but also letting them have some independence they need then Parkside is your place. Thank you to all the staff for everything you have done over the past three years.
