We would highly recommend The Cedars as a care home for your loved ones. You are always made to feel welcome when you go to visit by both carers and other residents who also like to engage in conversation and activities with you.
We would like to thank you for your kind words and we are pleased to know both you and your mum were happy at The Cedars. I will be sure to pass on your kind words to the rest of our team. I wish you and your family all the best for the future.

They were very efficient with all aspects of admin and communication and helped us re-home my uncle when it became clear he needed more one-to-one care. I would certainly recommend this home. It is clear that everything is effectively run.

I would just like to thank all staff for packing my mum's stuff up, unfortunately, she had to go into a nursing care home from residential so she had to leave due to hospital recommendation so she is sad to leave. I had to empty her room today but when I got there the staff had emptied her room all neat and tidy and moved it all downstairs, I could not believe the work they did as Mum has a lot of stuff really, all we had to do was put it in the car. I also want to say the staff have really looked after my mum during her stay there and she and I are sad to go but that’s life. All staff go one mile higher to help you in situations that arise I can not fault them, they have been fantastic and really cared for my mum during her stay there. All staff are a credit to the company, highly recommend, all of them all deserve credit. Thanks a million, today for your kind help, being unwell myself, I struggle to lift but The Cedars Care Home did all the hard work.
We wish you and your mum all the best for the future and we really hope she makes a full recovery! It was a pleasure to care for your mum and she will be greatly missed by both residents and staff. Thank you for taking the time to leave us some feedback, I will definitely pass your kind words on to the rest of the team!

Having broken my leg at the age of 87 years, I decided to apply for two-week respite care at The Cedars Care Home. I was made extremely welcome on admission, having been previously assessed. I cannot speak highly enough of the care I was given by a well-organised team of staff who were extremely competent in the treatment I received with the management of a wound caused at the time of the break. The home was efficiently managed - including the safety of all the residents. Impressed that staff had the opportunity to enhance their training with NVQs etc.
Kind regards.

I would highly recommend The Cedars. My aunt has been very happy since moving in. The staff are very caring, kind and helpful and always have a smile and time to spend with residents and visitors. The residents are treated with dignity and respect. There are regular activities, such as bingo and quizzes and singers come in to perform, which is well received. The Cedars is like a home from home; it is always warm and the home-cooked food is very good and enjoyed by all.
Thank you for sharing your experience with us. We are delighted to know your aunt is happy and comfortable with her tailored care. Our residents' well-being is our principal priority, hence the team ensures a healthy and active lifestyle along with tailored care for residents. I shall pass your kind words on to the home team.
Kind regards,Rahi.
My dad was only in there a short time before he died, but we were impressed with his care and the staff were all lovely with him. They showed him great caring, understanding and compassion and he was really happy with them. The family were all there the day he died and because he died in his own...
All the family were given access to a sitting room and given tea, coffee and sandwiches. A lovely touch. Thank you.
Kind regards,
Rahi.
All staff were friendly, helpful, caring and understanding. The Cedars is a very welcoming and homely place, unfortunately, Dad needed more care and had to be moved. We were very happy with him there and had no complaints whatsoever.

Even though it was only a short time, it was great to meet you all and care for your dad.

My 95yr old mother was placed at The Cedars whilst waiting for social care at home. She was severely sight impaired and had fluctuating levels of mobility which the care staff managed really well. She was made very welcome as were we, the family when visiting. Within weeks of placement, Mum's health deteriorated substantially. Staff were quick to act calling on support from health professionals when appropriate. Sadly, just as Mum was settling down at The Cedars she was taken into hospital for intense investigations but sadly passed away. We are grateful for the level of care and management at The Cedars and highly recommend it.
It may have only been a short time knowing you and your mother, but it was a pleasure to meet you and care for your mum.
We wish you all the best for the future.

The home is always struggling with staff, and the new staff they have been taking on, I wouldn't say all of them are the correct people for the job.
I have had a few occasions over the last month when I have found Mum just left sitting in the middle of the room in a chair all by herself, when questioned why the reply was they have forgot about her as they had been called to another job while in the process of moving her? I know she had been there a good hour or so.
Also, a lot of the staff are now training when asked or are agency so Mum doesn't connect with people she doesn't know very well.
Mum has gone downhill over the last couple of months and she is very upset and confused most times I go to see her now, and I must say it is very concerning.
She has always had an odd off day, but every day is the norm.
If I go over the weekend it is a lot worse as staff are very limited, 15 min average just to get inside.
I want to thank you for coming in to see me personally to discuss this further.

Thank you for your honest review.I want to thank you for coming in to see me personally to discuss this further.
The home does have a high agency usage at present, however we continue to remain consistent, using regular agency staff to ensure familiarity and consistency within the home. The home are going through the process of recruiting a number of new staff, including care assistants and senior care assistants who will all receive appropriate training and induction when they do start.
The home has in the last couple of months increased the staffing levels both on days and nights to ensure residents are not left waiting for long periods.
I have held discussions with all staff following this review to ensure staff are aware of the importance of being prompt when assisting residents and supporting visitors.
I hope you see an immediate improvement on future visits to the home. I send my sincerest apologies from all of us at The Cedars.

Mum went into The Cedars just prior to her 92nd birthday due to her becoming less mobile, though her mind remained sharp. Despite having to isolate due to Covid restrictions, she settled well and soon had a good rapport with the staff who would spend time talking to her. It was reassuring that she was local and being cared for. Despite the occasional setback or difficulty, the overall experience was comforting due to the caring nature of those looking after Mum for fifteen months until her passing away.
Dear Norman, thank you for sharing your thoughts with us. We are happy to know that your mum was comfortable and satisfied with the care provided, our team's hard work is always to maintain our users' care standards as high as possible. Your feedback will be passed on to the home team. Kind regards, Rahi.
The amazing staff treated my uncle with dignity and great kindness. My uncle was always happy whenever my mother and I visited him.

My aunt had been a resident at the home for almost twelve months. From the moment she arrived and until she left, she was treated with the utmost respect, dignity and compassion. The level of care was excellent and could not be faulted throughout her stay. The staff went above and beyond on a number of occasions to help keep her calm and contented, and on one occasion, a member of staff even went to the trouble of buying her the favourite face cream she used and refused to take any payment for it. Just one example of human kindness at its best. My wife and I would like to thank all the staff for their professionalism, and above all, the kindness shown to our aunt.
Looking after your aunt was a pleasure, she will be missed. Such a lovely character.
We wish you and your aunt all the best for the future.

My dad moved to The Cedars in October 2019 and from the very beginning, we were so impressed with the care and friendliness of the staff. Nothing was ever too much trouble and there was always staff wandering through the lounge, stopping to chat with the residents. My dad was treated with love and respect as if he was their family member. He enjoyed the great variety of meals and looked forward to tea and biscuits. We felt relief that having lived alone and struggled, he was now safe and secure 24 hours a day. When my dad became ill, the compassion of the staff to him and us was amazing. We would highly recommend The Cedars and have nothing but excellent praise for the wonderful team. Our only regret is, my dad didn't move there sooner.
Mum received lots of TLC during 10 months at The Cedars. The staff are warm, caring, cheerful and professional. The home is clean and bright - the lift could do with replacing.

I have seen in mum the benefit of the level of care and support that she is given at The Cedars. The atmosphere is welcoming and friendly and I would be more than happy to recommend the home to anyone who requires their services.
