Florence Grogan House

When I came to visit my mum recently, the staff were very welcoming as always. Mum was very happy and content, and was clean and tidy, which is very comforting to see. The staff work very hard to make sure the smooth running of the home and that residents are happy. The home appears to have a brilliant management team, which reflects on the staff. Which is always good to see. Staff only perform if treated fairly and with respect.

Respite care for my mother in law has been exceptional Florence Grogan house has been nothing short of amazing from staff to cleanliness of the home is fabulous my mother in law with dementia thinks she is staying in a hotel a great comfort to my partner who was the sole carer for her mother we are both very happy with the care my mother in law is receiving

My father in law has been a resident for a few years now & absolutely loves living here. We were worried about him being transferred to a home but wow were we wrong because he's living his best life. He loves all the staff & they love him. The events & activities are made to cover every residents needs & interest. Relatives & friends are welcome to join in as well which is always fun. All in all it's a 100/100 for us! X

Can't comment on management, food and drink, activities and value for money. No experience of these.

Everyone is welcoming.My mum has been at the home for nearly 2years and has always been well looked after, they have many activities that the residents can attend and enjoy, they have outings, disco's, birthday parties for residents to celebrate. Plus much much more. From cleaners to cooks to nursing staff each member of the team are outstanding within their rolls at the home. All residents are always happy. I know my mum is always looked after and never have to worry.

Mum is well looked after and is as happy as she would be anywhere.

Excellent experience. Kindness, courtesy, thoughtfulness. I was impressed with how the more 'difficult' residents were respected and treated. There was a great 'informal' but very professional attitude. Standards are very high. Food excellent. Respectful atmosphere.

Overall a very pleasant experience. The staff are all helpful and pleasant, they go beyond just doing a job, they are all willing to go that extra mile to provide good care and help to residents and guests alike. Not just a job but dedication. Management is excellent.

I was really apprehensive about my 96 year old dad going into a care home when he could no longer care for himself at home. I needn't have worried because the care he receives is exceptional. The staff are all very professional, well led by an excellent management team.

My mum is looked after with the best care from all the staff. Her room is immaculate, and we as a family are very happy with the care she receives. The staff are always friendly and welcoming and very professional at all times. We even get a lovely cuppa when we visit.

When I walk into Florence Grogan you feel at home. All the staff including management make me feel welcome. The home smells clean and all the residents who I speak to are very happy. My ex husbands Nan has been in Florence Grogan since November 2023 and I can honestly say I've never seen her so happy. When I come to visit the staff offer my a hot drink and can not do enough. The care staff are so attentive to all the residents which is amazing to see.

I find most of the staff pleasant and polite but there is an exception. I visit a lady who is elderly and she is very happy with the care she receives but will always say that the majority of carers (staff) are good with her and have time for her but there are exceptions.

My dad became a resident of Florence Grogan House after a number falls at the beginning of this year. I find the staff to be caring and friendly and treat my dad with dignity. They took the time to understand his needs and make him welcome. The managers have been very generous with their time and have helped me through the process. Thank you.

My mother was well looked after by the staff and management who always had time for her. Mum was very happy there.

I came to the home for two weeks respite, all the staff made me welcome and nothing was too much trouble. I would recommend Florence Grogan House to everyone, the food is excellent and the staff are so kind, had my hair cut by a wonderful hairdresser. Please keep up the good work. I hope to return soon.

When I stayed the night before her passing, a staff member finished work and came back with tea for myself and my husband - so kind and thoughtful. I will always be in debt to these lovely people who make a real heart-felt difference in difficult times. You are all truly amazing, and it needs recognising.

My mother was here for two weeks of respite the moment we walked into Florence Grogan we were made welcome by all the staff the carer my 97-year-old mother received was fantastic and we will always be grateful to you.

Thank you for taking excellent care of my grandmother even though she doesn't know who we are. I know she is surrounded by the kindest, most caring people and I thank you for that. Keep up the good work.
