An excellent caring community. My 92 year old mum is a resident at Parklands and has received the benefit of the consistently professional levels of care and warmth provided. Her health, wellbeing and happiness have benefitted from the excellent facilities and caring relationships. My wife and other family members visit her at least four times a week and have witnessed the excellent provision offered by all at Parklands. Before choosing Parklands my wife and I consulted local health professionals, read CQC reports taking note of their ratings and visited all the care homes that were recommended. Parkland's caring atmosphere, the high quality of relationships between staff and residents, the excellent programme of activities and the quality of accommodation and food all made Parklands stand above the other good care provision in Poynton.
Thank you for your kind words. Your feedback is very much appreciated and we are delighted to know your mum is doing well with us, we ensure to maintain high care standards at all times. I will forward your kind sentiments on to the home team.
Kind regards,Rahi.
Staff are very kind and loving toward residents. Always helpful and welcoming. Felt happy that my relative was in good hands while I wasn't there. There always seemed to be lots of activities going on which residents were welcome to join in despite any medical issues! Something for everyone. My relative's personal carer was outstanding always taking time to listen to her needs and making sure she had everything that she needed, she was also very quick to inform the family of any problems or anything that was needed to make my relative's life more comfortable.
Kind regards,
Not allowed in resident's room, visits cut to half an hour in the middle of communal area. No privacy. Difficult to book visits. Lost clothes, in other people's clothes. On leaving this home, they had put the mobile phone through the washer. Lost hearing aid and walking stick which was named, only sent half medication on leaving. Management is worse than staff.
We take all feedback very seriously. My apologies that your experience was not what you had hoped for. As I am sure you are aware, the home was in a period of lockdown from 28/12 for a number of weeks due to an outbreak and visitor numbers had to be monitored as per government regulations to ensure...
The staff are always polite, caring and kind.
Although the care given is good the surroundings could be improved, some interior improvements have been made in the past year or so. The exterior of Parklands is usually rather shabby, worn-out doormat untended flower planters, bits of litter around the door, all of which give a rather neglected impression. The effort needed to improve this would be minimal.
The care home staff work as a team. They communicate whereby all staff, no matter what rank or on which duty, are fully aware of my mother's needs. The staff are kind and compassionate to Mother and respect her dignity. They are also very respectful of me and my position in Mother's circle of care. They make Mother and me feel part of the family.
Parklands are extremely proactive in detecting and acting upon infections etc which means Mother recovers quickly.
I cannot praise the staff enough for their expertise and care.
My grandmother is currently in Parklands and I cannot fault the level of care and attention she has received. We would recommend this home to anyone looking for somewhere with a homely feel with amazing, friendly staff.
Very clean!! Most helpful very friendly caring nature. Excellent job from all the carers and staff at Parklands. We are delighted to see our mother getting settled. Keep up the good work and thank you.
After visiting my mother in Poynton I can clearly see that everyone really cares about all the residents. My mother has had trouble remembering her room when I asked her why " all the doors are white and look the same" one of the cares suggested we put a picture on the door so we put her dog on the front of the door, now mum knows her room or flat as she calls it. I would like to thank all the staff and manager who has taken a lot of interested in helping my mother get settled. The home is very clean the food seems to be good although mum did care for the fish in batter on the Fridays so now they give mum the fish in sauce, five star service! Many thanks to everyone for taking time to visit with my mother and chat with her. You are all so very kind! Thank you again
Staff friendly and courteous, nothing was too much. There's a sense of real caring from the manager down to the lowest carer.
Thank you for this lovely feedback. I will ensure it is passed on to the team, and I'm sure they'll be touched that you've taken the time to post this.
My mother lived at Parklands for 18 months before her recent death. The staff are excellent and cared for my mother excellently. The quality of care is excellent and shines through all their actions - this is the most important thing and always should be. The staff also extended the care to her family and we are very grateful for this. I really appreciate how all residents, including my Mum, were treated as individuals and respected. The whole staff team work exceptionally well together and do a great job. The food is good and prepared on the premises and individual dietary needs are taken into account appropriate. The social activities are good and all residents are encouraged to take part and supported.
Thank you very much for this lovely feedback, which means a great deal to our team. It was a privilege to care for your mother and it is reassuring for us to know that both she and the wider family felt well supported while she was with us.
Over the last six months. Parklands is conveniently situated. Nicely furnished and allowing own furniture. Management were approachable and very pleasant. Staff were kind and caring and attentive seeing to the requirements of individuals. (Also laundry is taken care of) Dressing them with own styled clothes and advise them. Meals are ok. Medical arrangements with the local GP is very good. On occasions, I think staffing could be better they sometimes appear pushed! Overall the care was excellent wonderful staff at Parklands. Sad to move my mother on but she needs nursing care, it's a shame Parklands is only a care home and not nursing. I must also mention the maintenance man as he was absolutely amazing. He is certainly an asset to Parklands.
Thank you for taking the time to provide us with this positive feedback about the dedication of our staff team. We are delighted to hear your mother felt well supported at Parklands and hope she will settle well in her new setting.
My aunt is treated with respect and dignity. She enjoys the food provided and speaks well of the care given. A variety of activities are provided, but she chooses to sit quietly and participates in very few. Fortunately, she has several visitors who help to improve the quality of her life. The staff are generally pleasant and supportive, providing information when required.
Thank you for taking the time to provide us with this feedback. Respect and dignity are fundamental values for our staff team and we appreciate knowing that this has been your aunt's experience with us. It is a privilege to support her here at Parklands.
My mum has just spent 5 nights in Parklands. All the staff were lovely and went out of their way to make her feel at home. Nothing was too much trouble, they do a fantastic job and I give them praise for what they do. I was welcome to call in any time and stay as long as I wanted, trying to avoid meal times as they are a busy and social time for residents and staff. Her room was very clean and comfortable and there was daily activities, which she joined in with. It was lovely for me to have my mum so close and I hope she will be able to stay for future respite :)
Thank you very much for this lovely review. We are delighted to hear that your mum's stay with us was so positive and your feedback will mean a great deal to our staff. We hope to welcome your mum back in the future!
My mother has been living at Parklands since October 2015. Her room is always clean and tidy as is the rest of the home. The staff have been very kind to her and made sure a doctor has been called when necessary.
Thank you very much for taking the time to provide this feedback, which means a lot to our staff. We are delighted to hear that you and your mother feel positively about her life at Parklands. We are pleased to be able to support her.
