My mum loved being at Turnpike Court. She was content and happy for the seven months that she was there. The staff were friendly, kind and caring and I know without a doubt that my mum felt loved by them all. Nothing was ever too much trouble. The staff acted quickly and responsibly whenever Mum was
poorly. I would like to thank all of the staff for making the last seven months of her life very special.

Turnpike Court in our view is excellent, it is spotlessly clean and has a good selection of meals on offer. The staff are fabulous always willing to help out and go the extra mile with the slightest of queries. My mum has settled in nicely since her failing health made it difficult for her to live on

Dad moved to Turnpike Court as his care at home failed to meet his needs resulting in a fall. His stay was 3 months before moving to another home closer to his friends, however, we wanted him really to stay where he was but it was a compromise. I can honestly say from the time we arrived to the time
we left every single member of staff was brilliant with Dad. They helped him settle in, providing reassurance and both physical and emotional support when he needed it. However, this support extended to us as family members too and we used the experience, quality of staff and management at Turnpike to compare other homes when looking for an alternative. We count ourselves lucky that our first experience of residential care has been so positive. Our sincere thanks go to everyone involved in Dad's care at Turnpike.

Dad came to the home in November 2022 on a short stay after a hospital stay. He has been very well cared for and he looks really well. The staff are friendly, kind and caring. They always make us feel welcome as relatives. It feels like a partnership and they remember our names which means a lot to
us. Dad speaks highly of the staff too and they make time to chat to him and I really cannot fault the care he has received during his time there.

Staff are always friendly and happy to help. I never thought that my dad would settle in a care home, he has always been so independent but sadly at ninety-seven it was time he needed help. He has settled into living here and gets on with all the staff. I would recommend Turnpike Court Care Home to

Mum was in Turnpike Court Care Home while awaiting a care package to be sourced. I had my reservations as I had dealt with care homes in my role as a nurse practitioner in primary care and the standards in some were appalling. My opinion changed. When Mum arrived she was disorientated and distressed,
she was welcomed by a manager and made to feel at home. She therefore soon settled in. The staff, without exception, were caring and friendly to Mum, me and my family. Mum quickly adjusted to her new environment as she felt safe in the knowledge there was always somebody there if she needed help. She loved the food and I genuinely think she was happy in the last few months of her life in Turnpike Court. Thank you, that means a lot to me.

My mum was diagnosed with breast cancer and spent her last seventeen months living at Turnpike Court Care Home. During this time the support given to Mum and the rest of the family was fantastic and though Mum was a former nursing sister and knew exactly how she wanted to live her remaining days she
was supported by all the staff and management team to live her final days as she wished.
Much laughter and joy would be heard coming from Mum's room when she would have midnight feasts of toast and jam and much loved mug of milk.
Staff would go out of there way to help and spend time with mum but also understood when the family wanted to spend time with her too.
Mum was no angel and at times could be difficult to care for but this was all met with good humour and a smile by staff.
Her room was kept spotless and the kettle was always on, just as it would have been in her own home.
Family members that visited who weren't used to a care home environment were amazed at how lively it was and how good the food was.

Her mental problems often made life difficult for staff but throughout they remained patient, kind and caring and always did their best for her, often doing far more than the job required. They also

There is a professional but friendly approach and atmosphere. The outdoor areas look inviting, interesting and pleasant, especially where there are vegetable beds and plants as they provide pretty foliage and show interest care and effort!
The areas are well laid out, clean and fresh and the elderly
clients seem comfortable.

Turnpike Court has provided care for my brother for the last few months and has been providing excellent care. I have been a nurse for over 25 years and I have to say it is one of the best care homes I have been in. The staff are very friendly and helpful and always available to give me updates on my
brother's condition. The food was excellent and nourishing, and the home itself was very clean and fresh. If my brother needs respite in the future I would hope to take him here. Well done to all staff and management.

Turnpike Court has been a lovely homely place for my mum to live for nearly ten years. She has recently died at the glorious age of 101 years old. She has been very happy and often mentioned how much she liked the staff and how she enjoyed the chats and the humour they shared. I applaud the staff and
managers who ensured my mum was safe, had excellent personal care and felt respected. It gave me great peace of mind to know the team at Turnpike Court were taking good care of my mum. Visiting Mum has always been easy and pleasurable. It was really nice to develop my own relationships with Mum's carers. I felt looked after on the occasions when I was sitting with my mum if she was ill and they have shown me complete kindness and compassion after she passed too. It is not the fanciest building but it feels cosy and has always been clean and tidy and the food is exceptionally good. I highly recommend Turnpike Court to anyone seeking residential care for a loved one.

Fairly good respite stay for my husband but not enough attention paid to residents with Altzheimers, e.g my husband's room was in a bay with four similar doors, one of which was a shared bathroom (when I had expected an ensuite) very confusing. Excellent carer girls.

We're very happy with the care and support our mum receives at Turnpike Court. The staff will duly inform us of any incidents which have occurred. Mum appears to be dressed appropriately and clothes clean. We have been impressed with the home's management during Covid-19 pandemic. This despite the visiting
restrictions Covid Turnpike Court consider the provision of a tablet/iPad and arrange for residents to keep in contact with their families using facetime etc.

My mother has been in Turnpike Court care home since January and has been treated with care and respect. All the staff are very patient and are always cheerful when I ring to see how she is. They have dealt with the effects of the pandemic and are all still smiling through this difficult time.

I am not suggesting the last 6 months have been easy for anyone, however, the standard of care has gone down dramatically. Relatives are not treated with respect. Information is not forthcoming. Simple requests are not dealt with. The rules are changed not from week to week but day to day. Messages
left to speak to management are not returned. My relative's clothes are not changed. In the end, a social worker had to be called. I asked for a GP review regarding my mother - it was not done so I arranged this myself.

I am very pleased with the care and attention my sister is having, she says that they are all lovely to her and the home is kept spotless and the meals are excellent. The staff are really good friendly and welcoming. Sometimes I have trouble getting through on the phone to the dementia side where my dad is even when I leave calling to a suitable time say 11sm. My dad is very happy in Turnpike Court and always seems well cared for. I am happy that I have been able
to visit him during these difficult times and I thank you so much for that, but sometimes I get double booked but can work around it.
