Adelphi Reviews (13)
Over all time Adelphi has 13 reviews.
There has been occasions where her health cause concern and the staff have taken appropriate action. Her personality has sometimes proved difficult for the staff and their consistent care through everything has been appreciated.
The home has been kept clean, warm and the meals are of a very high standard. Residents birthdays and Christmas are celebrated with cakes and the staff sometimes dress in costumes for party atmosphere. She was kept fairly mentally stimulated by colouring books and folding napkins and she enjoyed doing these small activities. The main purpose is standard of care which is first class.
My mother is treated with the utmost dignity and respect. She is very well cared for and myself and family feel reassured she is in good hands. All the staff are excellent nothing is too much trouble. Extremely happy.
Mum has been in the Adelphi for nearly four years. We always find her extremely well cared for, clean, well fed and all her health issues are efficiently managed. There are also activities to stimulate the mind. The openness of the facilities and staff are also very much appreciated someone always finds time to help when problems arise. We have just celebrated a wonderful Christmas Party and Christmas day at the Adelphi. Their generosity of spirit is heartwarming.
The staff have been helpful and polite.
It is in an older building and has a limited budget, but as always, it comes down to the staff who, on the whole, are welcoming and caring.
Mother is 102 years old with rather a difficult personality and several health problems. We always find her fresh and clean, her clothing is laundered beautifully and coordinated even though she is blind. The food is excellent, varied and tasty. We have often dined there. The outside of the building is rather tired but the inside is bright, fresh and very homely, not sterile. We found the carers knowledgeable, approachable, aware and sensitive. Her health problems are dealt with swiftly and monitored efficiently. Mum is in good hands.
My mother's medical welfare, personal needs and special dietary needs are well taken care of.
All the carers are knowledgeable about their residents and the senior staff are experienced with medical emergencies and in the administration and effect of medications. The home is clean and warm and the staff do all they can to provide a happy environment.
Staff provided a lovely buffet and made sure everyone was looked after.
A really great day for all of the family and really shows how much the staff care.
They are looking after mum very well.
We are quite satisfied.
They tend to her every need and don't hesitate to consult medical professionals if required.
The home is welcoming and bright.
The meals provided are of excellent quality and recently they provided the family with a buffet to celebrate mum's birthday - it made the day feel special for her.
Mum is settled and happy in their care.
The staff are all incredibly suited and good at their jobs.
My mum's quality of life has improved tremendously now that she is cared for.
The staff are attentive, diligent and go out of their way to fulfil the needs of the residents.
There is a pleasant, homely feel about the Adelphi with bright and airy rooms. My mother has been a resident for a year now. She is happy living here, enjoying any organised activities and the company of the residents. The staff are friendly and caring. They know each resident's individual needs, being kind and thoughtful to them all and treating them with respect and dignity. From a visitor's point of view, the staff are welcoming and approachable. They are always available to speak to and any requests listened to and acted upon if appropriate. I have peace of mind that my mother is looked after and properly cared for 24 hours a day.
We were all made extremely welcome by the staff. Nothing was too much trouble! Thank you so much for making Mum's 90th birthday so memorable and for all that you do for her. She is truly well cared for! This makes our worries about her all disappear. You all deserve a medal!!
