My Mother-in-Law has been a resident for a number of years. The home has gone through changes but her care has always remained very good. The staff are so kind and friendly and we have looked after her with compassion and dignity. The home has gone over and above their duty of care in providing a safe, homely and caring environment, which has given us total peace of mind. She has always loved it and considers it her home and we (her family) are so appreciative of everything staff do for her.

My mum was very happy on her short stay at Victoria House.

All the staff treated her with dignity and respect. She often said that they were her friends.

My auntie has been in Victoria since 2005. There have been several upheavals in the care home but in all that time, we have never once thought of moving her.

The staff have been great and to see her smile when she saw the carers made it all worthwhile.

My step father was treated with kindness and dignity throughout his stay at The Victoria. He has been cared for by all the staff, kitchen, laundry, maintenance, management and carers. I cannot begin to thank them for the support they gave to him and also my mum and us his children. I would not hesitate in recommending this establishment.

All staff cared for my stepdad as if he was their own dad. In his last days, all our family were made to feel welcome 24 hours a day. Nothing was too much trouble. I can't recommend them enough.

My mother has been a resident at the Victoria Residential Home since September 2016 we are both extremely satisfied with the care and attention that she receives. I would recommend the home to other future residents.

My mother is very happy there. I can too, knowing that she is taken care of, especially with me living abroad in Denmark. Thank you Victoria Residential Home.

Mum and Dad moved into Victoria 2 months ago. The staff could not have done more to make them welcome. They are well cared for and the staff are responsive to any suggestions for improvements.

Communication is excellent and relatives are encouraged to contribute to the recruitment of staff, regular residents/family/ staff meetings are held. Regular trips out are organised for residents.

I can't speak highly enough of the Victoria Residential Home. My father has stayed in several respite homes over the years since his Dementia diagnoses but none have come close to Victoria. From caring for my father to reassuring my mother that she was right to have a break, they were amazing. The carer was so kind taking my dad for walks and a lady who was a senior carer (in navy blue) spent so much time with him. I wouldn't know where to start thanking these two carers. The manager is fantastic and it is evident that her staff respond to her and are happy. Fantastic, brilliant, outstanding. Thank you.

I have found the care home to be very clean, the staff are very responsive. The management team are working hard to keep the good standard. Communication is good, any questions are answered within a good time scale if they can not be answered. I think the food is only average and this is an area which could be improved. Overall a very good care home in my opinion.

I wish to commend the activities co-ordinator for his caring, dedicated manner. He organises many events to enrich the lives of the residents, such as the cinema club and regular live music performances. The particular act I wish to commend the activities co-ordinator for, is when he took my mother and father's wedding photo away to mend the frame. This was a kind and generous act which is typical of him.

My father was nursed/cared for at the Victoria. He had been in their care for over 2 years. He dies in his sleep on the 25th February this year. He was the ripe old age of 96. The care he received at the Vic has been in my opinion exceptional right up until the end of life. He was loved and cared for over and above. He was as happy and content as he possibly could be. The staff on all levels were brilliant, nothing was ever too much trouble. I could not have wished for anything better. They have the utmost respect.

My aunt is a dementia patient at The Victoria and is therefore unable to give information herself. We - as her family have nothing but praise for every aspect of my aunts care. The home is bright, clean, warm and spacious.

The staff are caring, kind and considerate. My aunt has always enjoyed her food and the menus appear to be well planned and varied and enjoyed. The recreational facilities are extremely good and well implemented. The managing staff are very friendly and approachable and reviews very thorough. A first rate care home. As a pastoral worker I visit many care homes. I rate Victoria as outstanding.

One of the hardest decisions we have ever had to make was putting our lovely mum in a care home. Even after the decision was made you still worry if you have made the correct choice of home. Just recently my mum had a fall which resulted in her having to go hospital. After 5 and a half hours sat with a confused lady not knowing where she was or what was happening, I returned with my mum at 9pm back to The Victoria Care Home she was cold and tired. The greeting she received from staff was exceptional. They fussed over her like she was a long lost relative letting each other know 'she's back'. My mums words were 'it's so good to be home'. Her bed jacket was warming on the radiator, she was brought a warm drink and before I left she was tucked up in bed with tea and toast happy and content. One very exhausting long day but I smiled because I finally knew we had made the right choice.
