My wife spent four and a half years in Sandy Banks Care Home and during this time was treated with respect and dignity. The staff were always sympathetic to the individual needs of the residents and also to the residents family members. My wife always looks clean and tidy and responded well to the carers
which helped her to have a comfortable time during her long stay in the care home due to her condition of Alzheimer's disease.

I honestly can't praise this care home highly enough. From the moment my mum arrived, the level of care, kindness, and respect shown to her has been outstanding. The staff go above and beyond every single day-not just doing their jobs, but genuinely caring.
My mum is treated with dignity, patience,
and warmth, and it gives our family real peace of mind knowing she's safe, comfortable, and happy. The staff take the time to get to know each resident as an individual, and it truly shows in the way they interact with her.
The home itself is always clean, welcoming, and well-run, but it's the people who make it exceptional. Nothing ever feels like too much trouble, and communication with the family is excellent.
Thank you to everyone there for the compassion and dedication you show. We are so grateful to have found such a wonderful place for my mum

I want to say a huge thanks to all the staff at
Blair House in Southport for all the care you gave to my brother,
while he was a resident with you.
My brother passed away on Wednesday, September 17th, 2025 at Hospital where he was admitted the day before after
staff at Blair House called for an
ambulance because they were very
concerned about my brother's condition. He died of heart failure and chest
problems.
He was 65 years old when he died but he had been seriously mentally
ill since he was in his early twenties. He was such a good man and had
not had an easy life. I had been very concerned about him when he was
younger because he was so vulnerable and I was so relieved when he
went to live at Blair House, which had a reputation for its very high
standards. The staff gave him excellent care and I never needed to
worry about him any more. He had lived there for several years.
Regards,
Bernadette

Mother Redcaps Care Home

I have looked after my partner (who had dementia) as his carer for over four years in his own home until it became clear he needed professional care. We looked at brand new care homes which were just cash cows, and smaller homes which were obviously struggling. Then we came across Mother Redcaps. This
immediately had a good feel to it. We received the warmest of welcomes on the reception desk, followed by an introduction to the manager, followed by a show around. The staff are all friendly. There was a room available so my partner moved in. The staff are all friendly. He settled down remarkably quickly. After 8 months of visiting on a daily basis I can confirm that Mother Redcaps is good; the staff are superb, always kind and compassionate to the residents. The food is good - I can vouch for that!! The place has a very good feel to it!

From the moment my father arrived at Sandy Banks to the moment he passed away, the care he received was outstanding. Whenever I visited I could see how settled and content he was despite the ravages of dementia and that is testament to the skill and caring nature of the whole staff team. Communication

We found Byron court initially when trying to find emergency respite for my mother in law.
From the moment she arrived she received excellent care.
She has remained there longterm and is happy and settled.
My father in law joined her at Byron court after discharge from hospital for end of life care.
The
staff were caring , friendly and took great care of him until he sadly passed away.
They not only cared for him but have been very supportive of the family.
We feel very fortunate to have found Byron court whom we entrusted with the care of our loved ones

My dad has settled really well and his care needs appear to be being met. All the staff are very friendly and obviously care about the residents. They all work very hard. I've given the care home 4 stars because it's a bit tired. The newly decorated lounge is lovely but the other areas need upgrading.

Since Mum moved into Sandy Banks Care Home, we've seen such a wonderful improvement. She is so much better in herself-happier, brighter, and even eating solids again. The care here is excellent, and it's clear the staff go above and beyond to make sure residents feel safe, comfortable, and loved.

The

activities are also fantastic. Just last week Mum was up singing and dancing at a birthday party, and they even brought Shetland ponies in for everyone to enjoy! It's heart-warming to see her so engaged and having fun again.

We couldn't be more grateful for the kindness, support, and dedication shown by all the team.
