An activities coordinator delivers an activities programme that includes exercises, games and outing in the home’s minibus.
All food is home-cooked with residents’ preferences and dietary requirements catered for. Residents can receive as much support as they need for eating and drinking.

My aunt moved into Dovehaven House just over one year ago. I visited regularlyly until lockdown and observed that the staff are very caring and interact well with the clients. My aunt enjoys her food and is very happy with the meals there. She has a nice comfortable room. I have visited her today for the first time since lockdown in the new pod. I was happy to see her condition has not deteriorated in the last 9 months.

Wow, what can I say? The new Pod is amazing, and I can’t praise all the staff enough for what they do, to make each visit with my mum a great experience. Big shout out to team Dovehaven, keep up the excellent work you all do.

My mum was placed in this home as there was a breakdown in care during the pandemic (lived with her husband). The staff and management have happily provided us with a daily update of my mum's wellbeing. She has settled in extremely well. They have no Covid-19 at the home which is due to their rigorous application of health and hygiene (re cross-infection). My mum has previously been a resident early 2020 for respite and I visited frequently. Staff and management are wonderful.

Since mum went to live at Dovehaven House, the level of care has been outstanding. All the staff have wonderful caring natures and treat mum with the utmost of respect and love. Mum has vascular dementia and despite mum having very little communication, they do have a good level of understanding...
Since mum went to live at Dovehaven House, the level of care has been outstanding. All the staff have wonderful caring natures and treat mum with the utmost of respect and love. Mum has vascular dementia and despite mum having very little communication, they do have a good level of understanding her and always ensure she is clean, safe, comfortable and has everything she needs. Communication between the staff and myself is also excellent with both management and staff providing me with regular updates on mum's condition covering both practical and nutritional needs as it has progressed. I would highly recommend this care home. Everyone wants the best for their mum, and I feel we have just that with this excellent team at Dovehaven House. Thank you.
