From the initial telephone call that I made to Hillcroft, I have found the staff to be extremely helpful with me and the residents. The residents are cared for to a very high standard.

I have been at the care home when the evening meal was prepared and the food looked very fresh and appealing.

I am delighted that my mother is here at Hillcroft. She has had a few illnesses and each time she has recovered I believe it is directly related to the high level of care that she receives. My mother has been in another residential care home in the local area, I can, therefore, say I have another example to compare the level of care Mum gets and general quality of assistance Mum receives. I definitely believe that the manager and her staff give Mother the highest level of care and believe that this could not be better. The staff, all of whom I've met, are utterly committed and kind in every way when dealing with the residents, giving amazing personal attention to my mother and the rest of the residents. I cannot say in words how grateful I am for their dedication, always given with a smile.

Wonderful staff who go the extra mile for the residents and their families. The activities team are constantly coming up with new ideas and the recent 'live your dream' project is a lovely idea. Each resident is being given the chance to have a special day tailored to their interests - magic! Thanks to all the staff for all you do.

I feel mum is in very safe, caring and professional hands at Hillcroft. The staff chat with us and keep us up to date and we feel very welcome and part of a bigger family. We have gotten to know most of the staff and without exception, they are all delightful. They are regularly in training sessions to keep up to date and the management and owners are continuously improving the actual home and its services. Mum has all her faculties but needs help with being in a wheelchair but they tailor her care so that she can remain as independent as possible. It is also good how they take people out.

I think both my parents have improved since coming to Hillcroft. Staff are friendly, helpful and supportive. Having them there has put me and my family’s mind at ease knowing that they are safe.

Staff go above and beyond looking after my parents.

My parents are now taking part in various activities that the home provides, which they would not usually do if they were still at home.

My dad had only been a resident at Hillcroft for a couple of months. But I am happy with the care provided. He has settled in well and seems happy.

The staff at Hillcroft are always pleasant and caring. All his needs are met and I would recommend the care to others.

I visited the home on 4/6/17. It was a lovely afternoon, the staff made me feel welcome. There was a singer there singing the old rat pack songs and the residents and staff were singing along and some even dancing. The home didn't feel like a care home, it felt like "home".

My grandma has been living at Hillcroft since 2015 within the 'Horizon' dementia environment.
During September 2016 I took the opportunity to properly spend time and look at the homes delivery of care and support to my Gran.
I have only positive things to say about the home. From the manager who is always available to talk to, through to the very helpful staff the service witnessed on my visits were really good.

My grandma has thrived since she has been at Hillcroft and the team are supporting her dementia really positively and always treat her with respect and dignity when caring for her.

My Mother moved into Hillcroft Care Home in July 2016. She has settled into her new home extremely well and is very happy and content. This is mainly due to the care and warmth of the staff who work there along with the company of other residents who have become daily companions and friends.
The home is very well managed and welcoming and the staff put a huge amount of effort into making sure that residents feel safe, secure and at home. There is also a great deal of emphasis placed on providing activities for residents to participate in both within and outside the home.

It is a huge comfort to family and friends of Mum to see her so happy and settled. All at Hillcroft deserve the highest praise and gratitude for creating such a caring and homely environment.

We could not be more pleased by care and compassion shown for my mother and the above and beyond kindness shown, Hillcroft is a very welcoming place that not only meets but often exceeds expectations. Facilities are very good and well cared too but it is the staff as ever that make the difference. This is in our opinion, a really well run and happy care home.

My mum has lived at Hillcroft for 2 years. In that time I visited on a near daily basis and at different times of the day, so I feel I have seen at first hand the care, support, my mum gets on a daily basis. All staff treat her with respect and dignity. There is always something going on that mum can join in whether it be singing or going out. Back in November Mum had a fall and broke her hip, I would like to thank all staff who followed physio instructions to get my mum mobile again. I would also like to mention domestic staff who regularly chat with residents at Hillcroft, I feel the management keep up to date with regular training for their staff members and were also very supportive to me when mum had to get into Hillcroft. I think my biggest compliment I could give to Hillcroft would be if I need to go into a home Hillcroft would be my choice.

I visited my mother this week on Tuesday afternoon and then on Wednesday morning. She was sitting in the lounge with a group, one of whom was knitting which was nice to see, and looked happy and relaxed. There were lots of staff around who are always kind and attentive. My mother's room although small was clean and tidy and her clothes looked very nicely kept. The courtyard garden is now a real asset looked after by my sister who took on the job to keep all the planting up to scratch and change all the pots and beds every season. I'm sure things like this give residents, staff and visitors alike an interest and real pleasure.

The home is clean and a friendly place to be. The residents are taken out to lunch which my mother really enjoys. Quite often there are singers on that perform which are all very good. There are animals bought into the home so that residents can pet them. Family and friends are always made welcome. There are days out to Blackpool and places like that. A lady comes in every week to do exercises with the residents. It is a nice atmosphere.

I have visited many care establishments as a nurse over the years and finding the right place for my mum to be cared for was a tall order!
Hillcroft was immediately welcoming, reassuring, professional and most of all, warm and caring, with a lovely team of staff who always treat my mum with the utmost respect.

The home is warm and homely and my mum is very well cared for.
