I feel mum is in very safe, caring and professional hands at Hillcroft. The staff chat with us and keep us up to date and we feel very welcome and part of a bigger family. We have gotten to know most of the staff and without exception, they are all delightful. They are regularly in training sessions
to keep up to date and the management and owners are continuously improving the actual home and its services. Mum has all her faculties but needs help with being in a wheelchair but they tailor her care so that she can remain as independent as possible. It is also good how they take people out.

I think both my parents have improved since coming to Hillcroft. Staff are friendly, helpful and supportive. Having them there has put me and my family’s mind at ease knowing that they are safe.


Staff go above and beyond looking after my parents.
My parents are now taking part in various activities

that the home provides, which they would not usually do if they were still at home.

My dad had only been a resident at Hillcroft for a couple of months. But I am happy with the care provided. He has settled in well and seems happy.
The staff at Hillcroft are always pleasant and caring. All his needs are met and I would recommend the care to others.

I visited the home on 4/6/17. It was a lovely afternoon, the staff made me feel welcome. There was a singer there singing the old rat pack songs and the residents and staff were singing along and some even dancing. The home didn't feel like a care home, it felt like "home".

My grandma has been living at Hillcroft since 2015 within the 'Horizon' dementia environment.
During September 2016 I took the opportunity to properly spend time and look at the homes delivery of care and support to my Gran.
I have only positive things to say about the home. From the manager who is
always available to talk to, through to the very helpful staff the service witnessed on my visits were really good.
My grandma has thrived since she has been at Hillcroft and the team are supporting her dementia really positively and always treat her with respect and dignity when caring for her.

My Mother moved into Hillcroft Care Home in July 2016. She has settled into her new home extremely well and is very happy and content. This is mainly due to the care and warmth of the staff who work there along with the company of other residents who have become daily companions and friends.
The home
is very well managed and welcoming and the staff put a huge amount of effort into making sure that residents feel safe, secure and at home. There is also a great deal of emphasis placed on providing activities for residents to participate in both within and outside the home.
It is a huge comfort to family and friends of Mum to see her so happy and settled. All at Hillcroft deserve the highest praise and gratitude for creating such a caring and homely environment.

We could not be more pleased by care and compassion shown for my mother and the above and beyond kindness shown, Hillcroft is a very welcoming place that not only meets but often exceeds expectations. Facilities are very good and well cared too but it is the staff as ever that make the difference. This
is in our opinion, a really well run and happy care home.

This is simply just an excellent residential home. The kindness and thought to my mother, plus patience has been beyond the call fo duty. All the staff have been wonderful. My mum has lived at Hillcroft for 2 years. In that time I visited on a near daily basis and at different times of the day, so I feel I have seen at first hand the care, support, my mum gets on a daily basis. All staff treat her with respect and dignity. There is always something going on that mum can
join in whether it be singing or going out. Back in November Mum had a fall and broke her hip, I would like to thank all staff who followed physio instructions to get my mum mobile again. I would also like to mention domestic staff who regularly chat with residents at Hillcroft, I feel the management keep up to date with regular training for their staff members and were also very supportive to me when mum had to get into Hillcroft. I think my biggest compliment I could give to Hillcroft would be if I need to go into a home Hillcroft would be my choice.

I visited my mother this week on Tuesday afternoon and then on Wednesday morning. She was sitting in the lounge with a group, one of whom was knitting which was nice to see, and looked happy and relaxed. There were lots of staff around who are always kind and attentive. My mother's room although small
was clean and tidy and her clothes looked very nicely kept. The courtyard garden is now a real asset looked after by my sister who took on the job to keep all the planting up to scratch and change all the pots and beds every season. I'm sure things like this give residents, staff and visitors alike an interest and real pleasure.

The home is clean and a friendly place to be. The residents are taken out to lunch which my mother really enjoys. Quite often there are singers on that perform which are all very good. There are animals bought into the home so that residents can pet them. Family and friends are always made welcome.
There are days out to Blackpool and places like that. A lady comes in every week to do exercises with the residents. It is a nice atmosphere.

I have visited many care establishments as a nurse over the years and finding the right place for my mum to be cared for was a tall order!
Hillcroft was immediately welcoming, reassuring, professional and most of all, warm and caring, with a lovely team of staff who always treat my mum with the utmost
respect.
The home is warm and homely and my mum is very well cared for.

I first came here after post op surgery and a severe urinary tract for 2 weeks recuperation. I have been here this time for 5 days as my husband had to go to a family funeral in London. We were both very concerned that I would not cope with the journey tube trains and escalators. The staff here were
more than happy to love me to stay until he retired. The staff care, always respectful to all residents visitors and other staff members and work extremely hard. Activities are offered and encouraged by staff, but many residents are not responsive and choose to opt out.

Unfortunately in March this year (2016) my dad had to go into full time care due to Alzheimer's and other debilitating illnesses. Mum couldn't cope anymore, after a few weeks we were visited by two members of staff from Hill Croft care home in Aughton. Not long after, dad was taken there full time.
The
service they provide is second to none, the management go above and beyond to help not just the residents settle in but family members are at ease leaving loved ones behind. The staff are very friendly and are always available for a chat and to explain about what your family member has been like and what they have done. The home is just amazing and you feel relaxed leaving dad there. Can't thank the staff enough, they do an amazingly difficult job very well. Would I recommend this care home to anyone?
Yes in a heartbeat.

With all the bad media you see nowadays I believe that the staff and management here require very high praise for the amazing care and welcoming environment they have created and maintain here. As family of a resident we are always welcome and not restrained to visiting times, a small feature that gives
peace of mind. With children being welcomed just as much as adults, and welcomed to interact with all residents and staff alike. Always the warm inviting smell of fresh home cooked food in the air and lots of entertainment and family fun days organised regularly. Cannot thank the staff enough for the amazing job they do on a daily basis, not just with My Grandad, who has settled in very well, but with us as a family, as we always feel welcomed.

My Granddad has been at Hillcroft for six months and settled in so much, thanks to all the amazing staff who bend over backwards to make every person in Hillcroft feel safe and relaxed. Not only are they exceptional with members living there, they are amazing with us. The families and always helpful
with our needs too. I could go on and on how amazing this care home is but, just a few things that make it special are; the food is fab lots of entertainment planned, they genuinely care, my granddad goes on lots of days out, garden is beautiful, the place is spotless, very relaxing, we are welcome any time and most of all my grandad is happy. We always leave happy and relieved he is happy there.

Peter extends his caring approach to his colleagues and works closely with them to bring out the best in people and deliver care in a way that they gain the most benefit in a warm and welcoming home.


He has enjoyed working alongside local schools and nurseries as he believes our residents always enjoy seeing the children. Bringing communities closer is always high on Peter's agenda.
