I can not speak highly enough about Lostock Lodge and the care the staff showed my Dad during his stay. He was welcomed and made to feel like it was his own home even though early on he had some big reservations about going into a care home from his home in Fleetwood. All the care staff need a medal as they look after residents so well. I looked at 15 care homes in the local area prior to deciding on Lostock Lodge as at the time I wanted one that felt like a normal home but had the level of care that my Dad might need in the future. I chose well.

We are most grateful when relatives take the time to write a review, especially when they praise our staff for their care and dedication. Thank you.

I really like the size of the home. With only 32 residents, the staff are able to give my mother the care she needs. As all the rooms are on one level, there is greater communication between the residents. Mother is able to walk the length of the home and go and visit her sister in her room. The staff are friendly and responsive to any suggestions made. We know Mother is in the best possible place for her care and support structure.

My father has just moved into the care home his previous care home has closed.

The Manager and their team have been very understanding, kind and professional during what has been a very difficult time for our family. My father has settled in very well and his care has been very good. All the staff have been very friendly and welcoming.

Lostock Lodge ticks all the boxes for us, Mum is so happy here. Finding a suitable care home for a parent has got to be one of the hardest things ever but on entering Lostock Lodge for the first time we got ‘the feeling’ that it was the one. It is welcoming, clean, brightly decorated with familiar zones for the residents so that they can identify key places and the staff are wonderful and very helpful and attentive. Mum settled in immediately, her room is lovely, and we were able to bring pictures, ornaments etc from her house to adorn the walls and shelves making it a proper home from home for her.

The activities coordinator is great and residents and their families can participate in activities to stimulate the brain and to have fun. Since entering Lostock Lodge we have noticed a huge improvement with mums mood, she is happy to socialise now and is eating better, we can trust Lostock Lodge to care for mum and meet her needs 100 %, it’s such a blessing to have found the right place. Thank you.

The management side of this care home is excellent. I did not have much contact with other staff so cannot comment.

The welcome basket was a lovely thought and made Mum feel special.

I have limited mobility and I have just spent 5 nights on respite care whilst my partner was on a mini-breakaway with his friends. I thought the care was excellent the staff could not do enough for me. I would thoroughly recommend this residential care home and will not hesitate to return in the future.

After looking around 19 care homes for my mother in 2015 trying to find the right care for her as she had Alzheimer's, as she, unfortunately couldn't say in her own home any longer, we came across Lostock Lodge.
Fortunately, they had a room free, and in August 2015 she moved in.
They care she received while she was there was excellent, the staff were so professional and genuinely cared for her as a person.
We felt close to the staff who always made us feel welcome and nothing was ever to much trouble. My mother's needs always came first, as her health deteriorated.

My wife and I can't thank the staff enough for the excellent care she received.

My review of Lostock Lodge is a nice place, the room is comfortable and clean but short of some room to put things in. Management and staff are very good. Activities are quite good the person who does them is very nice and friendly. The food is not as good as it was when I first came in. Safety and security is good.

My other has been in Lostock Lodge for nearly four years and in all that time my mother has had excellent care and attention from all the staff. She feels safe and secure and is treated with dignity and respect. When the activities are going on she always takes part. The food is very good and very varied. Management and staff are very good and I would recommend Lostock Lodge to anyone.

I have been a resident here for 4 years.
This must reveal how much I am cared for.
Nothing I have needed has not been dealt with instantly - and with good grace.

I am extremely happy living here and feel comfortable and fortunate being here.

I recommend the care home for the interest it shows to one and all the residents at the care home.

To my mind, the staff have been chosen by management very skillfully, and from my point of view, the care given to each resident is fantastic.
