The Red House continues to create a wonderful family atmosphere which is so important for residents and relatives alike to know its a real home for their loved one. The day to day care is exemplary and my wife is completely settled and happy. The management have installed a culture where all the staff
whatever their specific role get to know the residents and relatives and I think this is a major strength of the home and helps make it so well respected locally.

Lostock Lodge is very welcoming and the management and staff are totally dedicated and show empathy and compassion. Residents are cared for in a friendly safe and sociable environment. My mother had dementia and the care she received was excellent, staff and management making every effort to interact.
We always felt relaxed about the care given. Mum was always clean and tidy. When our mother was under palliative care the staff looked after her with total dignity and respect. Not only did they look after our mother but they also looked after her family at their most vulnerable time. Lostock Lodge is a highly recommended care home.

Very friendly team and are always available if needed. Progress updated regularly and if any issues occur are informed of this, e.g. falls from Mum. Could do with stacking chairs for visitors and can be very worn at times. Overall a friendly team of carers and facilities with good access and credit

I visit The Red House every week and love the friendly atmosphere. I am always made to feel welcome and a part of The Red House family. The management and staff work as a team to provide care of an outstanding quality. My aunt has been a resident for 4 years and is always treated with respect, compassion
and has quality care. We have nothing but admiration for the hard working staff. Mealtime are a joy of her and she enjoys the activities programme. The home and residents are kept very clean. Well done to the manager for her ongoing work in an excellently run, care home.

A family member was in the care of Red House for just over a year. In their care she flourished and we saw moments of her younger self come back to life as she settled into the home and their care. She gained weight, became engaged, and was well cared for. Sadly she passed away recently and the care
and compassion the whole team showed was wonderful. They are the most amazing care home, all the staff are just fantastic. Highly recommended.

Hillcrest

My aunt had a fall and ended up in hospital, she has vascular dementia and went into Hillcrest initially for respite care. The staff were so lovely with her, she loved all the food and regained her appetite. She had up and downs days the staff were very patience with her, she is quite shy and does not
mix well with others but the staff encouraged her to come out of her room and chat with other residents. Quite often I would see a resident in the office having a cuppa and chat with staff when they needed settling. My aunt thought she was in a hotel most of the time. She wanted to go home and once we met with the Social Worker and one of the carers it was agreed that she could live independently with support from carers. When we picked her up she did not want to leave and was upset, the staff all gave her a hug and welcomed her back anytime for a cuppa. She said she would miss them. Once home she soon settled. Thank you to all the Hillcrest staff.
