My Dad spent the last 12 months+ at Brimington carehome can i say the careres were brilliant with him and us during his final hours the care was great over the last 12 months would 100% recommend if your looking for a place for your loved ones .However what we feel was very poor was the financial side
as we found fees not being taken on time resulting in 2 months at once being taken at 1 time (£9000) also when my dad passed away still charged for that day and also 3 days after even though we emptied his room the day after at £150 per day which i thought was very heartless bearing in mind over the last 12 months we had paid over £55000 for his care

My Mum who is now 95 yrs old & has dementia went into Hillcrest April 2023. She initially went in for respite care after a fall. However it soon became clear that full time care was needed & Mum decided to stay. For both of us it had been to right decision. The Staff & Management are excellent. Caring
& respectful but allow my Mum to make her own choices. She has a lovely room with a view of Frodsham which is bright & always clean. She's continually tells me how kind the staff are to her which is of great comfort to me as I know she is safe & well cared for. Hillcrest have a Sister Vicky from the GP surgery visit every week which works well in supporting any medical issues.I would recommend Hillcrest for their professional but homely approach & am impressed by the Management of home & staff. Thank you Lorraine & Julie & all the staff.

Overall Experience 2.0 out of 5
Buxton Lodge does have wonderful caring staff (even though they are very understaffed) and acceptable care standards but I can only give a poor rating because of the awful management.
Aurem Care are the parent company and in the 21 months that my mother was in their care there have been three general
managers that have come and gone, so something isn't right.
Back in November they overcharged us £5,100. They have no direct line to their accounts dept so we had to send multiple emails to staff, some of whom left during our conversations.
When my mother passed away in July, we didn't receive any note of condolence from the home nor did we receive any final statement. After checking our account, the home overcharged us £6,200 in the month my mother died and an additional £6,200 after she passed away. I eventually tracked down the FD and received a £11,000 refund but it didn't match my calculations and they have ignored all emails asking for their calculations. This is unacceptable.

My Father has been at Hailsham house since January this year. I have grown to appreciate how hard the team works for my Dad. There have been teething problems, but Rui and his team are always responsive to our small concerns and I am very glad that my Dad is here.
I can recommend coming to the family

Looking forward to the Harvest Festival!

This is a very comfortable home and my mother is well cared for. My mother has seen the nurses caring for difficult residents with patience and care. we are like a family. I am in my 90s and am having a wonderful time.

My Grandad went into Hillcrest and decided this himself as he wanted company and more help with things. We do not live close by so couldn't visit often. We was unaware at first he went into a home but when we did find out the manager and staff was so supportive and updated us on everything. We went
over to visit and the staff was caring helpful and just overall great. Grandad seems happy and content at the home. As we are not close Hillcrest is his family and company he has been missing. With us not being close staff email me and call me with updates on grandad and I appreciate this so much. The staff don't judge and understand we cant visit that much, we wish we could but with kids, working and life being so busy and we are far away it's hard. Highly recommend this place. As long as my grandad is happy we are happy and getting all the support and help he needs. Thank you all Hillcrest staff, manager, cook, house keepers, handymen etc.

Clean and comfortable. However there is not enough interaction with residents. Majority sitting and staring into space. I also disagree with residents being shouted at and treated like naughty children. On my last visit the carers in the lounge disappeared and we were locked in without a career in sight.
I find this unacceptable. The residents were panicking so I tried to open the door, which set off the alarms. I finally got out.

My mother was with Hailsham House for a few years and was treated with kindness, consideration and with dignity.
We cannot speak highly enough of the home. We will miss our extended family.

My neighbour is a resident of this nursing home. I deliver mail to him. He can be a difficult person yet seems very happy where he is. I can see that he is well fed. He dislikes noise so the staff allow him to sit in the dining room to watch T.V. He has always been a person who complains yet he has
not complained about his treatment in this nursing home.
