I visit The Red House every week and love the friendly atmosphere. I am always made to feel welcome and a part of The Red House family. The management and staff work as a team to provide care of an outstanding quality. My aunt has been a resident for 4 years and is always treated with respect, compassion
and has quality care. We have nothing but admiration for the hard working staff. Mealtime are a joy of her and she enjoys the activities programme. The home and residents are kept very clean. Well done to the manager for her ongoing work in an excellently run, care home.

A family member was in the care of Red House for just over a year. In their care she flourished and we saw moments of her younger self come back to life as she settled into the home and their care. She gained weight, became engaged, and was well cared for. Sadly she passed away recently and the care
and compassion the whole team showed was wonderful. They are the most amazing care home, all the staff are just fantastic. Highly recommended.

My aunt had a fall and ended up in hospital, she has vascular dementia and went into Hillcrest initially for respite care. The staff were so lovely with her, she loved all the food and regained her appetite. She had up and downs days the staff were very patience with her, she is quite shy and does not
mix well with others but the staff encouraged her to come out of her room and chat with other residents. Quite often I would see a resident in the office having a cuppa and chat with staff when they needed settling. My aunt thought she was in a hotel most of the time. She wanted to go home and once we met with the Social Worker and one of the carers it was agreed that she could live independently with support from carers. When we picked her up she did not want to leave and was upset, the staff all gave her a hug and welcomed her back anytime for a cuppa. She said she would miss them. Once home she soon settled. Thank you to all the Hillcrest staff.

Overall, this is a very good care home, providing safe and dignified care. The activities are well planned and enjoyed by both residents and their relatives. The staff are friendly and caring.
The regular catering staff are excellent with a variety of main meals and freshly baked cakes served for tea
most days!
Hopefully, the new management team will continue to build on the good work here.

My ex husband has been a resident at Kenwood for over one year now. It's his 'home' and he enjoys the great attention and care from all the staff, from Edith the manager to all the carers, the nurses, the activities co-ordinator, the chef and kitchen staff, the admin lady and cleaners. There's always
a smile at the door and a laugh in the lounge. It's reassuring as a genuine caring attitude is very important for the quality of life of my ex-husband.

My mother spent the last two years plus in this lovely caring home. As a family we were always made very welcome and felt part of the care home family, by both staff and other residents. My mother who suffered from many ailments including dementia, was always well cared for and treated like a member
of their extended family, regardless of the amount of care she needed. If we took her out she was always welcomed back with open arms and asked all about her outing, taking a great interest in what she said (sometime rubbish because of dementia!). I always felt comfortable having a holiday, knowing how well they looked after her.
I have nothing but respect and admiration for the care and love they give to their residents.
Thank you to everyone, sadly my mother passed away 26th April with both myself & brother by her side at the care home, which she called home.

I cannot speak highly enough of the entire experience. This facility truly provides an excellent environment for both residents and their families. For us, this respite was a much-needed break.

The staff at Hillcrest are nothing short of fantastic. Their warmth and dedication made a significant

difference during our stay. From the moment we arrived, the team was attentive and went out of their way to ensure that every need was met. The manager, in particular, stood out with their proactive approach and genuine care for both the residents and their families. It was evident that she fosters a positive atmosphere and encourage her staff to do the same.

There was no shortage of engaging activities. Hillcrest offers a variety that cater to different interests, ensuring that everyone can find something they enjoy. Whether it was arts and crafts or social events.
