The Red House

A very caring facility for my father-in-law. He has settled in well and cannot fault the care he has been given. The staff are all so very kind and caring and treat him with the utmost respect. A lovely home for him to be in.

My father hasn't been at The Red House long, but since being there his appetite has improved vastly. The care he is receiving is very good and the staff are all lovely, supportive and friendly. His room is comfortable and airy.

Since arriving Terry has been made to feel genuinely welcome. The staff are consistently friendly engaging and take the time to know him as a person. The food is well prepared and varied, and he is enjoying the quality of the meals. There's also a strong programme of activities with plenty on offer to keep residents stimulated and involved. Overall it's been reassuring and positive experience for our family.

I was welcomed warmly on my first visit to the care home. I was visiting a friend and shown to where he was straight away. The home was very clean, and I observed the attention being paid to the residents in a caring manner. My friend wished to go to his room as I left, and I told one of the staff. Someone came within a few minutes to wheel him to his room. Ellie, carer, came to talk to us brightly during my visit and asked how I knew David. This enabled him to tell her how we became friends, and she showed genuine interest with a lovely smile. David was quite animated as he talked to her.

I have been many times to this home and have always found the staff polite, courteous and kind. I especially appreciated the attention to small but important details today. The staff - patient was very high today - so that no one was rushed. I would have no hesitation to recommend The Red House or allowing anyone close to me to be moved to here. I have had experience of many care homes. Well done everyone!

The Red House continues to create a wonderful family atmosphere which is so important for residents and relatives alike to know its a real home for their loved one. The day to day care is exemplary and my wife is completely settled and happy. The management have installed a culture where all the staff whatever their specific role get to know the residents and relatives and I think this is a major strength of the home and helps make it so well respected locally.

I visit The Red House every week and love the friendly atmosphere. I am always made to feel welcome and a part of The Red House family. The management and staff work as a team to provide care of an outstanding quality. My aunt has been a resident for 4 years and is always treated with respect, compassion and has quality care. We have nothing but admiration for the hard working staff. Mealtime are a joy of her and she enjoys the activities programme. The home and residents are kept very clean. Well done to the manager for her ongoing work in an excellently run, care home.

A family member was in the care of Red House for just over a year. In their care she flourished and we saw moments of her younger self come back to life as she settled into the home and their care. She gained weight, became engaged, and was well cared for. Sadly she passed away recently and the care and compassion the whole team showed was wonderful. They are the most amazing care home, all the staff are just fantastic. Highly recommended.

Red House staff continues to provide kind and thoughtful care to my frail mother. Last March, they helped us to celebrate her 90th birthday with a specially baked cake containing mum's favourite eclairs. The staff know that mum does not eat well but always try to give her the food that she likes and give her plenty of time. Thank you to all of you for caring about her wellbeing and doing your best every day.

I have been very happy with my time at the Red House. The staff are very great, I am so proud to have my father-in-law staying here.

I come here to visit every 2 weeks to see my auntie. When I come in, the staff are so friendly and welcoming, it's always so homely, and they are so good and kind to the residents. It's clean and inviting. My auntie felt happy when she moved in. I would definitely recommend the Red House to everyone.

I only see her once a week. I've no complaints.

Everyone looks after mum very well. She always seems to be comfortable in her self even if she's not able to articulate this. Staff are all friendly and all feels like a big family.

Dad seems to me to be settled and satisfied with the care he is receiving in The Red House. I think he would like to be taken out more often, if only to local amenities. I believe that the communications to relatives could be improved. I also request that Dad be notified when I am due to visit, but I'm not convinced he always knows that I am visiting. On the whole, he is being well looked after, and he seems happy with his care.
