My sister was in a care home previous to Lostock Lodge, it was hell, we made a formal complaint. Lostock Lodge has changed my sister from a ghost of herself into a person who shows me that she remembers me. Her interactions and overall demenour have improved 100%. I can't thank you guys enouth. Lostock Lodge is very welcoming and the management and staff are totally dedicated and show empathy and compassion. Residents are cared for in a friendly safe and sociable environment. My mother had dementia and the care she received was excellent, staff and management making every effort to interact. We always felt relaxed about the care given. Mum was always clean and tidy. When our mother was under palliative care the staff looked after her with total dignity and respect. Not only did they look after our mother but they also looked after her family at their most vulnerable time. Lostock Lodge is a highly recommended care home.

Lovely friendly atmosphere. Welcoming. Everywhere nice and clean. Staff are a lot more caring than any other care home mum has been in.

Very friendly, all residents look happy and cared for. We visited my nanna with my children and they were made to feel welcome and put them at ease.

Mum has been treated with love and respect since she has been here. All the staff are very caring. The activities are excellent and the management has been improved a lot. I feel very relived that I know mum is safe and secure with people who do care. Thise gives me sleep at night.

Excellent care home. All staff very caring, open and honest. Facilities are v good, home very clean and tidy. All staff very engaging with residents. So glad we chose Lostock Lodge.

Clean and comfortable. However there is not enough interaction with residents. Majority sitting and staring into space. I also disagree with residents being shouted at and treated like naughty children. On my last visit the carers in the lounge disappeared and we were locked in without a career in sight. I find this unacceptable. The residents were panicking so I tried to open the door, which set off the alarms. I finally got out.

The activities they provide enable the residents to keep physically and mentally active as much as they are able.

A friend of ours was in this home, he was diagnosed with dementia and declined fairly quickly. The staff and management were very supportive and knowledgeable. The support was second to none for the family as well as our friends.

My aunt was a resident for over 3 years. The care she received was good, although it is impossible to replicate her own home. She had dementia and the patience and care of the staff was excellent. It was impossible for me to rate food and activities as I didn't partake in either. I rarely put excellent in a review, so good is as good as it gets.

I have always found everyone taking care of Mum to be very helpful, friendly and caring. Mum is always lovely and clean, well-fed and relaxed. Very welcoming when I visit. Thank you to all.

She has lived alone for nearly 20 years after losing her husband in 2006, being a strong-minded and independent woman she was content with family and memories. However, in later years she has become frailer and bouts of confusion. Towards the end of last year, it became evident she couldn’t live alone independently. Lostock Lodge was highly recommended by several friends, we decided to visit and were pleasantly pleased. The staff and residents were welcoming, they wanted to show us what an amazing community hub it was. So after looking at a few others, our decision was made, Lostock Lodge stood out above the rest for warmth, quality and professionalism. My mother-in-law settled in at the end of January 2024, the room is generous in size, well-equipped and within the beautiful house and grounds. The staff are all so tentative, caring and cannot do enough for her and the other residents. It’s amazing.
