My mother has a weeks respite care and I can't praise the care she received enough. The staff here all amazing and the interim manager was wonderful, she ensured everything was done to put our minds at rest. Mum really enjoyed her staff and she is looking forward to her future 'holidays' mum loved all the staff and the food a truly great experience!

We visited my friend last Friday (she had a weeks respite). She was very happy and her room was lovely facing the garden with birds chirping in the tree's. I asked for an extra chair and quickly someone got one. My friend said she had enjoyed her meal's and liked chatting to other resident's in the dining room. Everywhere was very clean and the front entrance nice and welcoming. A nice atmosphere and friendly staff too.

I have appreciated everything Oaks Care Home did for my precious grandmother. The care, the laughs, the support and the dignity she received during her shorts, but important stay, were at an exceptional standard. I will be eternally thankful.

Eric, my 95 year old father, was treated with care and dignity throughout his short stay (approximately six weeks). There was a warm, safe feeling at The Oaks, and the staff wre always attentive to the needs of Eric and his family. I would recommend the home to potential new residents and their family. The oaks was always kept very clean and smelt fresh, unlike some other homes that we visited.

The care home needs the current manager to stay instead of being on an interim basis Leadership over the past two years has been poor. The only way forward is to have the current manager in place for the future for the home.

This care home sets the standard for warmth, professionalism, and dignity. From the first visit, it was clear that residents are genuinely known, not just cared for. Staff are attentive, patient, and unfailingly kind, treating everyone with respect and good humour. Communication with families is excellent, with regular updates and an open-door approach that builds real trust. The home itself is clean, calm, and welcoming, with thoughtful activities that encourage independence and companionship. Most importantly, residents feel safe, valued, and happy here. Knowing our loved one is so well cared for brings enormous peace of mind. We recommend it without hesitation.

I recently visited The Oaks Care Home, and I have to say, it's one of the most welcoming places I've come across. From the moment you walk in, there's a warmth about it-not just from the decor but from the staff, who are genuinely kind, attentive, and happy in their work. That makes all the difference.

The home is well maintained and thoughtfully considered, with lovely little details that set it apart from the usual care home feel. Small, carefully designed spaces create a more homely and engaging environment, rather than something overly clinical. You can tell a lot of thought has gone into making it a comfortable and uplifting place.

And the food-absolutely delicious. You don't often expect that in a care home, but clearly, they do things properly here.

It's a place that feels warm, well-run, and full of care in every sense of the word. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it.

Dad's been here for a year and from the first his care has been exemplary. The staff, whatever their role go above and beyond; be it medical or personal care, dietry assistance, greeting, answering queries of all kinds. Every staff member is cheerful and helpful. Since beginning this, Dad has passed away. The night staff helped and comforted us so well and looked after Dad's last hours like family. Thank you so much.

My husband was discharged to The Oaks from the hospital in July and I think has settled very well. The staff have taken time to get to know him, they are very friendly to us as a family and welcome us all with a smile, even the dog who he misses. Initially not very compliant, they persevered and he is now up most days and enjoying the company and activities that are provided. I have to add a word about the reception staff. Always a smile when they open the door. A good start to a visit.

My mother moved into The Oaks in September 2023. She was 93 and has several medical issues. We found The Oaks provided exceptional care and was spotlessly clean. All the staff were very caring and made her stay as comfortable as possible. Nothing is too much trouble. Sadly Mum passed away after 6 months. Thank you to all the team at The Oaks in all departments.

I am beginning this review of our experience of The Oaks with the first few moments after we arrived to visit my brother who had been admitted about an hour earlier by ambulance direct from the hospital. We asked about certain things being allowed. The answer: "Of course, it's his home now", touched us deeply. He had been very poorly and confused. The difference from then to the present is largely down to the kindness and care he has received and he is much calmer and contented. Smiling faces greet him and he often tells us how lovely the staff are to him. Facilities are important but the all-important factor is the staff. The Oaks is special!

My wife was discharged into The Oaks Care Home from hospital in May. I had been wanred her chances of survival were not good and she was on end-of-life care. She has advanced dementia.
However, thanks to the love and care of all the lovely Oaks staff, she is still with me. She has put on weight, she eats and drinks, and can now be put in a wheelchair.

I cannot thank enough all the levels of staff and nurses at The Oaks for their kindness and love.

As a family, our review of The Oaks Care Home is one of satisfaction and a warm, lively feeling whenever we come through the doors to see my dad. My mum is here daily and cannot put enough praise on how our dad is being cared for. The facilities, staff and assistance to go that extra mile are very good and thorough. A period of change and uncertainty for my dad, and it's really good to leave off on each visit knowing he is being cared for. Very settling. Thank you all.

From the start me were made very welcome, it is not a bit like a medical establishment but more like visiting a good friend's home. The resident's every need is catered for with love, respect and dignity. The meals are well presented with a good variety and choice. Residents are encouraged to join in stimulating activities, entertainers are invited and also animals visit. They celebrate special occasions and have lots of little treats. They also enquire about the well-being of their visitors. Would be hard to find anywhere better. We are truly blessed.
