The staff encouraged my Dad to engage in activities, such as carpet bowls, crafts and dominoes, which he enjoys. Dad is happy, and his care needs are met. I receive regular news articles with pictures of Dad going on outings, such as the Christmas pantomime and trips to the park. The staff take Dad to the doctors and dentist when required and ensure his medical needs are met. His diabetes is well managed, and I appreciate that Dad would like more biscuits than are good for him, and again, the staff are patient and firm when required. He has recently become double incontinent which has required more personal hygiene care, and again, this has been well managed. Dad feels safe and cared for, he loves his meals and sleeps well; as do I, knowing he is so well cared for.

Milton Lodge colleagues are all locals with warmth, care and humour. Our mother and aunt get incredibly well looked after. The food is amazing. The place is spotless and there is always activity to keep the residents entertained.

Mum has been a permanent resident at Milton Lodge since June 2020 and I have been very impressed with the high standard of care shown to her throughout her stay. The manager and staff are always friendly, compassionate and very caring and nothing is too much trouble which gives us peace of mind that she is being well looked after. Mum especially likes to sing along to the musical entertainment and she thoroughly enjoyed the recent Platinum Jubilee celebrations organised by the staff. I would recommend Milton Lodge to anyone who is considering 24/7 home-from-home residential care for their loved ones.

The care home is a credit to the owners and the staff alike.

My mum has been a resident at Milton Lodge for just over a year now. She has settled in very well and is looked after by a very supportive care team. She enjoys her food and has put a little bit of weight on so is thriving. The laundry service is amazing. Mum enjoys the activities that are available a few days a week and having her hair done weekly. Everytime you go to Milton Lodge you are welcomed and everywhere is very clean. I am very relieved that we chose Milton for Mum's care, there is no doubt she is happy and very comfortable, and has settled into her new family of care. Thank you.

Staff at Milton Lodge are extremely caring towards residents. They make their best efforts to keep the residents happy and are extremely empathetic and kind. They treat them as their own family. My mum resides there and I know she is in the best hands. The girls are wonderful with my mum, you can see the affection the girls all have for her. My heart broke when we had to put Mum in 24hr care, but I know she is in the lovely care of all staff at Milton Lodge.

My mum moved into Milton Lodge in the middle of December 2021. The staff have been wonderful helping her settle in quickly and caring for her dignity, respect and much laughter. It was a difficult decision for us as a family to make but we have no regrets and the care Mum is receiving is second to none.

Nice to have a TV in the room.

In summer, lovely chairs to sit out when suitable and coloured flowers in tubs in the garden.

Food is good, well looked after.

Feel comfortable about my mother staying here as her having to stay in a home was unexpected. The thing that make the care home are the staff who are fantastic and really care for people. The only downside is the size of the rooms but really satisfied with everything else.

My brother and I have been very impressed with my mum's care whilst being a resident at Milton Lodge care home. The staff are very friendly and treat my mum with respect and care that we have really appreciated in the short time she has been there. Mum seems very happy and we've seen a marked improvement in her wellbeing. The nurses have told me how much they love Mum and that has been reciprocated in Mum's demeanour. I have no hesitation in recommending the home to anyone in a similar position.

I’m sure there are smarter, newer cars homes, but care and a homely atmosphere are, I believe, most important.

It is never an easy decision to have to make, but I have no problem at all recommending Milton Lodge.

The home is very welcoming every time we visit. The staff are extremely helpful and caring and the rooms are furnished to a high standard. The staff put regular theme events on like Burns Night including a piper, singers and school children also visit.

Each time I have visited I have found the staff very friendly and helpful. When you walk in the door, you can feel the lovely atmosphere. Also, I would definitely live here if I had to. So that says it all I think.

In the short time my mum has been a resident at Milton Lodge, we have been really impressed with the friendly atmosphere. Not only my mum but also we, as her family, have been made very welcome. Every staff member we have met has been cheerful and this in turn makes for a lovely atmosphere. The cleanliness of Milton Lodge is excellent - both in the communal areas and in the residents' rooms. Although we have not sampled the food ourselves, my mum is very happy with her meals. There have been several activities taking place from games of dominoes with other residents to entertainers coming in to sing. A visiting hairdresser is also an advantage as travelling to a hairdresser was proving difficult for my mum. We feel that we are able to leave my mum knowing that she will be safe and happy. Obviously, for us, this is very reassuring. We would not have any hesitation in recommending Milton Lodge to anyone.

I can't praise the home enough, they have been great with my Mum. It was very hard to say it was time for a care home but the staff are great with Mum and when we had concerns with a leg ulcer, they were on top of the problem getting outside people sorted very quickly (quicker than we could have done). The only thing I would say is the bathrooms are a bit past it, not that it bothers the residents.

I have been coming to see the residents for 4 years. The staff are very friendly and good with them.
