Hi, my name is Tracy, and I am the General Manager here at Sherwood Lodge.
I have worked in care since 2000. I started working nights as a Carer, then I had a ten year break to raise my family. I then went back to work in a home that provided EMI care, before moving on to complete my NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care to become a Senior Carer. I started at Sherwood Lodge in October 2018 with the role as Head of Care. I was later promoted to Deputy Manager, and then recently I was appointed as the General Manager for Sherwood Lodge, I am enjoying every aspect of my new role.
My name is Karen, I am a mother to five children and I have worked at Sherwood Lodge since 2018 starting off as a Care Assistant, progressing to the role of Senior Care Assistant and now Deputy Home Manager which I am really enjoying.
I am dedicated to my job and I take pride in the fact that we make a difference in the lives of our residents. I work closely with all my colleagues and management to ensure that Sherwood Lodge is the best it can be in providing quality care to all our residents.
I am the Head of Maintenance here at Sherwood Lodge and also at Sherwood Court. One of the best things about working in a care environment is that you are helping residents and families and trying to make their lives a little bit easier. I have been working at Sherwood Lodge since 2010, starting off as a care assistant, and I am now the head housekeeper. Previous to my work here, I worked in the community as a support worker and, before that, that I worked in the hotel sector. I enjoy my role here at Sherwood Lodge, and I have a strong and reliable team working beside me. Sherwood Lodge is a happy and relaxed place to be and work.
I have worked at Sherwood Lodge since 2008 as the Admin Assistant. I have always worked in administration and office roles since leaving school.
I enjoy my work here at Sherwood Lodge, as everyday offers something different, and I have gained a very close bond with the residents, and enjoy our daily chats.
My name is Claire and I'm a Senior Carer here at Sherwood Lodge. I started in 2022 as a Carer and was promoted to Senior Carer in May 2023. I am a Falls Champion and Dementia Champion and am very proud of my role and being a part of the team.
I love spending time with our residents and caring for them everyday, especially going out on day trips. I helped organise our Wish Tree, where residents write down their wishes, hang it on the tree and we try and make them all come true, ranging from garden centre trips to days out reliving their favourite memories. Watching and being part of our residents' wishes come true is something I'm very grateful for.
I started at Sherwood Lodge in November 2022 as a Care Assistant. I previously worked as an Account Manager and decided I needed a change - making the decision to move over to start working in care is the best decision I have made. I was promoted to Senior Carer in April 2023, and am proud to care for our residents to help them enjoy each day.
I originally started at Sherwood Lodge as a member of the Housekeeping team in August 2021, before transferring to the role of Hostess.
I really enjoy my role, as I get to spend quality time with the residents and their families each and every day. My role includes serving breakfast and lunch, to offering refreshments throughout the day and making sure everyone always has a cup of tea and a biscuit to hand. I'm the first port of call for making sure everybody always feels at home.
