I came to The Grange from another care home and was made to feel welcome by the staff - and soon got to know the residents. I settled in very well - I have found the staff very nice and friendly - but professional at the same time. The dining room is some-times like a carry-on film with residents sometimes disagreeing about odd things but the staff do step in, in a diplomatic way and I feel they all do their best and are friendly, approachable kind and fair.
Thankyou for your review, this is very much appreciated by the service manager.

Enjoy our outings with staff to the seaside, enjoyed our meals out.
The staff are friendly and I enjoy going shopping and going on trips.
I live at The Grange and Elm Court for 3 years. I enjoy living here but I prefer living nearer to my family. I have made some good friends here. I get on with staff. I like to be as independent as possible. I do my own washing. I have my own big bedroom with a double bed and furnishings. I have made it really homely with ornaments and pictures.
Good staying here.
I've now been at this care home for the past 5 years and 6 months and can only say it has helped me immensely I feel like I have got my life back the home is always spotless the food is first class the site manager will go out of her way to help with any needs you have the manager at Elm Court allows you to have your freedom and helps you in any way she can the deputy manager keeps an eye on everything and all the staff who are magnificent and so helpful overall a nice place to stay
The service is very good.
I would like to say that in the four times that I have been living here this is the best it has been as I am doing better than ever with my mental health! I would like to say that the manager that was here in two thousand and eight has not changed.
Thank you for the lovely review. It is very much appreciated.
I have been coming to The Grange and Elm Court since 2021, I am currently in a temporary room but as soon as the room I have had is available I will be back in there. The room I am in is brilliant, so spacious and a lovely room (I can't wait to get back in mine though). The care home is, in general, a lovely place to stay, two carers are, in my opinion, the best care workers and will do anything to help you, if I'm ever feeling down they take time to sit and chat and reassure me that everything's going to be okay, they are a credit to The Grange and Elm Court, I have nominated one for a rising star award, I wish that I could pick both but I can't. The manager is so great too, she is so accommodating and has helped me through a lot of breakdowns and helped me come through the other side. Thank you so much to the manager and thank you.
Many thanks.

Meet the Team (1)

"I started working at The Grange and Elm Court in November 2003, beginning my journey as a domestic assistant. Over the years, I have progressed as a care assistant, senior carer, team leader and deputy manager, before becoming the Home Manager of this amazing home. Never in my wildest dreams imagine that I’d end up here today.
I have been the very proud registered manager of the service for the last 10 years, and have completed a total of 20 years of service. I have loved every moment, too. Over the years, I have undertaken numerous training and development courses, including NVQ Levels 2 & 3 in Health and Social Care, which led me onto the advanced level apprenticeship in management, in 2022 I passed my NVQ Level 5 Diploma and am also a qualified first aider and a trained fire Marshall at the service. I don’t think I’ll ever stop learning as I strive to provide the very best care that I can.
Everyone who knows me understands that The Grange and Elm Court, and its amazing residents, are my life. I absolutely adore the people who live here, and could never see myself working anywhere else. Since managing the service, I have achieved two ‘Good’ CQC inspection ratings, which is an achievement I am exceptionally proud of. Over the years, I know I have become a stronger person. I remain totally grounded with a positive attitude. With my strong northern accent, I have a personality that gets on with everyone I meet. The home is where my heart is - we really are one big family here. I think the world of my staff too, and am so proud of them all. Our home is all that it is because of them.”
