Harry Priestley House is a genuinely caring and loving environment for all of its residents. I have been involved having enjoyed truly homely care care and attention through that time. I have no hesitation in saying that Harry Priestley House can be used (should be) as an example of excellence for all
care homes.

To care for someone for 50 years and then to realise you are no longer able to do so is very traumatic. To find somewhere as caring and professional as Harry Priestley House was so wonderful. Every need is taken care of with love, the days are full of things to do. All medical needs are also attended
to, visiting on a regular basis as we do, we are welcome at any time.

Can I start my review with a massive thank you to the management and staff at Harry Priestley House. My brother has now been there for six months, and his confidence, self-esteem and demeanour have all improved massively. This, I believe, is due to the support, guidance and encouragement of the staff
team. It's great to hear my brother talk about his new life, and in his words, "family"; he now says he's found his forever home. Well done, everyone at Harry Priestly House, it's greatly appreciated.

My son has been a resident of Harry Priestley House for nearly 20-years; he is very happy there. During that time, never once has he expressed a wish to come back home. He has his own room, well furnished with a TV and an easy chair. He has a good assortment of clothes, which he enjoys wearing, access
to a shower and helps with his dressing.

Having known the house from its inception some 20 years ago, I have for the last 5-years been involved in helping, together with other members of the friends of Harry Priestley House in providing extras both externally and internally for the benefit of the residents.
I find the home to be very well
run indeed, it is kept to a high standard of decoration and cleanliness. The staff are very kind and caring towards the residents, which are shown by the happy atmosphere which is experienced throughout the house.

My experience of the care at Harry Priestley House was when my daughter needed care after coming out of hospital following an accident in which she fell and broke a bone in her foot. Having lived at home for 51-years, this was a big adjustment for her. The staff were kind and caring, especially the
manager who was always approachable and very helpful. Unexpectedly her health deteriorated, and she tragically died after 7-months there. I have not marked food, as my daughter's appetite was poor whilst there.

We are pleased to report that Harry Priestley House is continuing to maintain an excellent standard of care towards its residents, including their medical needs. Our daughter has lived in the house for a number of years and throughout that time has always indicated that she is very happy. She requires
an amount of personal attention both within the house and in connection with outside activities. We are proud that she is happy and long may it continue. In summary, we are pleased to rate the home very highly in all its areas of care.
