My parents came into Cadogan Court in April for respite but quickly decided to stay. They both received superb care from the housekeepers to the manager - nothing is ever too much. Sadly Mum died in July and Dad was supported in his grief. His life ended in hospital on October 4th and again all the
staff supported me. They are genuine carers and team leader is wonderful.
Reply from Clare Walker, Registered Manager at Cadogan Court

Thank you for your kind words. Although Mum and Dad were with us for but a short time, they very embraced living in the home and quickly part of the Cadogan Court family. Thank you for all of the support you and your family have given to Cadogan Court, Mum and Dad will be remembered with very fond memories.

Such a lovely care home, would really recommend it. My nan moved into the John Hunter Unit four weeks ago and her care has been excellent. The staff have been so kind and reassuring not just to my Nan but also to the family. They've been happy to answer all of our constant questions. I've had updates
after GP visits and they keep the family involved in changes in care needs. The home is always clean and doors are managed by staff to keep the residents safe. They run a lot of nice events, they've had a Summer Beach Party & McMillan Coffee Morning since Nan has been there. All the residents were involved in both if they wanted to be. They have activities available to the residents everyday but they can do pretty much whatever they want to do. All the staff I've met from the cleaners to the managers have been soo kind and helpful. Nothing is too much trouble for them.

James terry court is a very well run home,
My mother was admitted in January this year as I was no longer able to care for her as she needed 24 hrs care, I was very apprehensive at first, but I have found the care and consideration of the staff to be outstanding, the home is lovely and bright, the rooms
are spacious, and all the areas are kept spotless, there is so much for them to do,lots of entertainment and activities, a very nice hairdressing salon,it really is like a very well run hotel, but the emphasis for me is how well they take care of mum, they are so kind, I cannot find any fault and would highly recommend it.

My mum has been at JTC for the last 3 months after being moved from an awful care home. I can easily say that within 48 hours of being there I noticed such an improvement in her.

This has continued and my mum is as settled as I think she could be anywhere, From day 1, I was very impressed with all

of the staff and this still continues and is the same with every member of staff that I have met. The staff take care of all of my mums personal needs, but also as importantly, take the time out to just sit and talk to the residents.

The home is always very clean, food looks lovely and I think there are activities most days, although my mum does not take part in a lot of these, but there is never any pressure on my mum to do things that she does not want to do.

My mum has Dementia and Parkinsons, but since being at JTC, I hardly notice her Parkinson symptoms and her mobility has improved.

I can not praise the staff enough and thank you for putting the familys minds at ease

The level of nursing care provided by everyone at Queen Elizabeth Court is outstanding and heartfelt - the most important reassurance for any family member (and especially for those like me who live overseas). A high level of professionalism is demonstrated by all, be that management, kitchen, garden
or reception staff and above all, those who provide 'front-line' care. It is rare for more than 30 minutes to go by before someone pops their head around the door to offer needed support or just a friendly word.

We as a family cannot speak too highly about Shannon Court and the team within. The care and consideration that they have given to both our parents/grandparents has been outstanding. After 73 years together they did not want to be seperated and the staff have gone out of their way to ensure that that
is the case. From the manager to the cleaner and everyone in between they genuinely care about the residents and treat them with the greatest respect. It is a wonderful environment , welcoming, safe and secure. Relatives are encouraged to walk freely around the residential home. They have nothing to hide.

She is happy and feels at home at Queen Elizabeth Court. She interacts well with all the staff who are kind, caring and ensure my aunt is comfortable at
all times. Any concerns are addressed immediately and the staff carry out their roles with professionalism, care and regard to dignity for the residents at all times. It continues to be a pleasure to visit my aunt, as we are made very welcome too. It is a wonderful home and I highly recommend it. I am so glad that my aunt is here and I know that she is in very safe, caring hands and I never have to worry about her well being. Thank you, Queen Elizabeth Court.

My mother, Gwyneth, has been a resident at Queen Elizabeth Court Care Home, and I cannot speak highly enough of the care and attention she has received. From the moment she arrived, the staff made her feel welcome, valued, and truly at home.
The team are compassionate, professional, and consistently
go above and beyond to ensure the residents' wellbeing. They treat my mother with dignity and kindness, taking the time to understand her needs and preferences. The home itself is warm, well-maintained, and creates a real sense of community, which has been wonderful for her.
The activities, meals, and overall atmosphere are excellent, and I have great peace of mind knowing that my mother is in such safe and caring hands. I am deeply grateful to everyone at Queen Elizabeth Court for the difference they have made to my mother's quality of life.

My mother was moved to Shannon Court for the final few months of her life. Sadly she was no longer able to appreciate the lovely surroundings and grounds nor the activities that were on offer. What she did get to benefit from was the total dedication of the staff to making her final month's as comfortable
as possible. As a visitor it was lovely to see the other residents enjoying their twilight years, I would often see the staff up the drive way with the residents in their wheel chairs out in the fresh air, those who are more able can enjoy the stunning grounds with the woodland walk, fish pond and outdoor seating. Who knew that more disabled residents could enjoy a rickshaw ride rather than being stuck indoors. The care shown to my mother and to me will never be forgotten, as a relative you feel part of the family of carers, same faces rather than agency strangers, name tags you can read and memories of exceptional kindness made

We have Power of Attorney for our cousin who has dementia and has been resident for almost two years at Queen Elizabeth Court. For the whole of that time the staff have done everything possible to help her settle and care for her even though of late her condition has often been challenging because of
her illness. Her room is always immaculately clean and she, herself, tells us how kind the staff are to her. We are very impressed by all the staff in the unit and in reception who are well informed about our cousin and keep us up to date with her condition and anything she needs to improve her quality of life. We could not ask for more, we are always made welcome when we visit. The times of our visits are random but there is always a calm and caring atmosphere in the unit.

My mother has lived at Queen Elizabeth Court for almost 3 years and I have visited her regularly. She tells me she is happy to be there and feels safe and well cared for. She likes her spacious room, where she can watch people come and go, and at other times she enjoys sitting in the lounge with the
other residents for company. I have observed the unit where my mother is resident to be thoughtfully led and the staff are very caring and attentive to residents individual needs and wellbeing. Communication with the staff is very positive and I feel I am kept up to date with any developments. The unit feels relaxed and it has a structure to the day, without being regimented, which suits my mother as she can please herself with what she does and when. Staff are very reassuring and supportive to my mother and provide appropriate care and activities. I am very satisfied with the standard of care my mother receives at Queen Elizabeth Court and reassured that she is in a safe place.

Since my dear wife became a resident on the third of July 2025, she has received and enjoyed nothing but kindness and care from all of the many members of staff, who have looked after her well being. The exemplary carers do all that they can - all of the time - to make her new life a happy one.
They
should all have wings and halos.

Prince Philip Duke of Edinburgh Court

My husband is happy in this home having been unhappy in a previous one. Carers seem to have more time for individual care and spend time with the residents. Rooms are clean and comfortable and can be personalised as desired. Each bedroom has a full wetroom also. Transport and a carer are arranged for
medical appointments. Staff will endeavour to arrange activities as requested by residents. 24/7 nurses offer individual support and updates on medical issues. Food and drink could be improved to offer more fresh options. I wonder about the nutritional value.

Thank you sharing your feedback, its really lovely to hear your husband is happy here. We hold a food forum every 4 weeks with our residents and relatives to discuss all food related topics, I was happy to see him there. Hopefully with your feedback we can improve this area of his care.Thank you

I'm truly blown away by the compassion shown by the Nurse Manager at Scarbrough Court. My mam and her best friend (friends for over 70 years) hadn't seen each other in well over a year due to illness and disabilities. The Nurse Manager is going above and beyond to arrange a home visit so they could
reunite, hold hands, cry, and share precious time together. This thoughtful gesture will have a huge impact on their mental wellbeing and means the world to me. The care, kindness, and dedication shown here are exceptional. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

The staff are always helpful and ready to help, always on time and safe when working. The activities that are arranged are amazing, keeping my mum engaged in all of them, which she really enjoys. The food is of great quality and well presented, there is nothing they won't help with and they are willing
to put in place any suggestions. A great home.

Connaught Court

My Father, Elwyn Gwynne passed away in Connaught Court on Tuesday the 19th August 2025. He had been Ill for about three and a half months and the care coupled with compassion that he received was second to none. He was a long term resident who had been in Connaught Court for ten and a half years and
he considered many of the team of caregivers as his extended family. He died at the age of 101 after living a long and happy life. Leaving three sons, many grand children and even a great grandson all of whom have nothing but praise for the wonderful people at Connaught Court. He received his certificate for 50 years of full and active service to Freemasonry in 2015 and he was very proud to have been Master of Linton Lodge 9444 when he was 90, presiding over a very full calendar.
Please feel free to contact me if you would like an advocate for this wonderful Masonic retirement home.
