My mother is about to have her 98th birthday, by which time she will have lived in Barford Court for eight years. She is happy there and has always been treated wtih respect and dignity. The care and level of training are outstanding. Each week, residents are offered a full range of activities. Relatives
are made to feel welcome and often take part in these alongside their loved ones. The management and the different teams wtihin the home are excellent. they are open and visible and offer regular support and advice to us. They put every effort into making the home a comfortable and enjoyable place in which to live and work.

Both my Parents are in care and they are very well looked after. It has been difficult transition for them but are settling in well and the staff have been very supportive and patient. It has been a great relief for me to know there are being looked after 24/7 and I no longer need to worry about something
happening and no-one being around to help like when there were on their own in the house.

Staff are genuinely caring, supportive and friendly. Rooms and communal spaces are kept clean and tidy, and can be personalised. Ok food could be improved at some meals, e.g. fresh juice for breakfast. Fruit is available but needs to be asked for. Nurses are helpful and communicate/update well. Transport
is arranged for medical appointments and social events. Staff will arrange activities as requested.

My Godmother, Hilary, came to Prince Michael of Kent Court following a big operation. She lives on her own so we wanted her to be cared for during her recovery. We would like to thank you all again for taking such good care of Hilary. Her consultant was amazed at her recovery following her operation
and I believe that it was down to the care she received from yourselves, where she was able to relax and just recover. Whilst she loves her independence and being back at home, I know that she had a wonderful time with you and misses you all. She was looked after so well and everyone took time to talk with her and really get to know her which I know she really appreciated. We know how wonderful the home is as my Mother in Law is also with you and so incredibly well looked after and cared for. Thank you so much!

The moment I entered Prince Michael of Kent Court, I felt I wasn't in a care home. I would liken it more to a warm and welcoming cosy rural hotel. How they've created such a family feeling atmosphere I don't know exactly but it feels like a "home" to me, not a facility. Perhaps partly, it's
the demeanour of all the sincerely kind welcoming people that work there or the cat Mabel or the dog Alfie, that comfortably roam the beautifully lit spacious halls for the residents and visitors to pet. There are no weird smells anywhere. No joke! I have visited relatives within many care homes in my life and all of them had a certain smell. This one, does not and I believe that is testament to the level of care they provide their clients. To me, it's how they care for my lovely mother. I dreaded her having to move into a care home but since being there she's settled in wonderfully, she seems happier than before and always dressed in nice clean clothes, and she loves the food!

My Mother Phyllis Ann has been a resident for the last 3yrs 4months.
Mum began her time in Residential care and her 3 years there was wonderful. The staff were always respectful, courteous and really couldn't do enough to help mum and support us as a Family. The activities enabled Mum to once again
socialise. Most importantly we as a Family were able to spend quality time with our most important human and create precious memories. Mum had to be fast tracked down to Nursing Care in june 2025 and we were advised by her gp to prepare for the inevitable. We could not have been supported any better by the staff.
Sadly mum died this week. But the care compassion support and dignity that was shown to Mum and us as a Family was exemplary and meant we could spend mums final days as a Family by her side. The care went above and beyond and was a gold star standard of what "care" really should be. Thank you hardly seems enough for how grateful we truly are. Please show staff this.

I love it here. I have made friends. The food is lovely. My room is a bit small, and I would like a bigger room with more space. I enjoy doing the garden, and I have grown some vegetables for us to eat. We have a greenhouse which I look after for everyone.

The care my father received was simply excellent . He was treated with compassion throughout. His carers took the time to know the man he was and we, his family and friends, were always warmly welcomed into his home. We are so pleased that we found Connaught Court, they supported and cared for our whole
family and we can never thank them enough.

Albert Edward Prince of Wales Court

From the moment you walk into reception, Albert Edwards feels entirely different to any other care home - it's more like stepping into a welcoming hotel, with a calm and relaxing atmosphere.
It's a truly special place with a clear emphasis on helping residents feel that this is their home. Over the
5 months my father stayed there, the ethos was evident in every detail, from the respectful way staff interacted with him to the thoughtful touches that made his environment feel personal and dignified.
The professionalism throughout the home is outstanding. The care compassion, and I felt reassured knowing he was in such capable hands.
I want to express my sincere thanks to everyone at Albert Edwards for the kindness and support they gave my father during his time with them, your dedication made a real difference.

My parents came into Cadogan Court in April for respite but quickly decided to stay. They both received superb care from the housekeepers to the manager - nothing is ever too much. Sadly Mum died in July and Dad was supported in his grief. His life ended in hospital on October 4th and again all the
staff supported me. They are genuine carers and team leader is wonderful.

Such a lovely care home, would really recommend it. My nan moved into the John Hunter Unit four weeks ago and her care has been excellent. The staff have been so kind and reassuring not just to my Nan but also to the family. They've been happy to answer all of our constant questions. I've had updates
after GP visits and they keep the family involved in changes in care needs. The home is always clean and doors are managed by staff to keep the residents safe. They run a lot of nice events, they've had a Summer Beach Party & McMillan Coffee Morning since Nan has been there. All the residents were involved in both if they wanted to be. They have activities available to the residents everyday but they can do pretty much whatever they want to do. All the staff I've met from the cleaners to the managers have been soo kind and helpful. Nothing is too much trouble for them.
