Barford Court has amazing well trained carers and staff , that help support both residence and relatives along our journey .
Trust and communication is one of the main important things I believe to be so important , when your loved one is being cared for .

I feel that at Barford Court the staff keep me informed about the care given to mum , and conversation is important , and there is always time to have a chat , which I feel is never a problem at Barford

Mum has navigated some difficulties in her health over recent weeks and the staff at Barford Court have been outstanding in their care and the careful way they followed events, ensured she received the right anti-biotics and followed through with all the required care to keep her comfortable. The team then followed up with post treatment care and mum is back to her enthusiastic self, in good humour - supported by follow up reports from the GP to confirm her recovery. All this and many other details contribute to her feeling safe and her family appreciating how carefully and diligently the staff have been taking care of her. Their kindness and loving humour are so valuable. Thank you also to the kitchen and maintenance staff who help her when the TV goes wrong and make her salads when she requests them. It is a delight to see her enjoy being with the staff and to be responded to by the managers and carers so promptly and courteously. Thank you all - my sister and I are so grateful.

Mum has had a few changes in her capacity and health in the last couple of months and the Team at Barford Court have been fantastic. They have been very kind, responsive and extremely professional. They have ensured that appointments, investigations and medications have been accessed really quickly so we could eliminate possible causes and treat actual ones.

After a fall, mum said she found herself surrounded by about 6 carers, she was checked out, added to the gp medical round and is currently being monitered regularly. The caring is very loving and it helps me as I live a couple of hours away.

It is good to hear you think your mum is getting really great care, which must be such a relief for you, especially being a couple of hours away. Barford Court is an amazing Care Home. The staff are caring and clearly understand how important it is to give the best care and support to the residents. Mum has been here for over two years and very happy. It is important that I can walk away knowing Mum is being looked after how I would care for her.

This is definitely Mums home.

Impressive standard of care + kindness towards residents who appear to be treated with great respect and dignity by all members of staff. The food looks excellent + residents clearly enjoy their meals and snacks. There appears to be plenty of staff who are readily available to help residents. The level of participation in activities (which are varied + plentiful), seems high + most residents are engaged.

My wife Pamela has for some time been quite poorly, having broken legs and dementia, she was a long way from being "well" however my family rallied round and arranged for Pamela to go into a care home for 4 weeks mainly to give me a "break". When it was time to come home, she was so happy there, and with no pressure on her agreed to stay permanently where she has been since. The Home is very much like a first-class hotel with all the facilities you could think of. Food is plentiful. Entertainment is excellent; various "trips out". Since Pamela has been in the care home she has "come on in leaps and bounds" and I am so grateful we found something that has improved her health & well being.

I'm so sorry to hear about the challenges Pamela had been facing, but it's really heartening to hear that she has found a place where she's comfortable and thriving. My Dad has been at Barford Court for about a year now. Moving him into a care home was a difficult but necessary decision and I would be lying if I said I was certain that Barford Court was the right fit for him to start off with. However, it didn't take long for any fears to be alleviated. It has a calm and caring ethos, and it is clear that the residents are treated as individuals. All of the staff are lovely and I am confident that my Dad is well cared for at Barford Court.

Barford looked after my mum for two and half years. This was her home and right until the end she had excellent care. Even when things got really difficult with Mum, everyone at Barford including the care team, house keeping, maintenance and even visiting activity teams were kind and patient. Barford supported us as a family and allowed me to be a daughter again. In the last week of her life I could stay at Barford, with Mum and this is so precious to me. The staff were amazing and took care of everything so I could just be with Mum. Thankyou all.

I wanted to send my heartfelt gratitude to the wonderful staff at Barford Court. As a family, we were apprehensive about the prospect of Dad needing additional care. But from the moment we saw BC, it became our home too. My young children called it "Pop's Hotel" - they could see that it was a haven for him. As Dad's health declined and we knew the end was near, you opened your home and your hearts to us even more. The last four days of Dad's life was spent by his bedside: reminiscing, listening to music, crying and laughing. We were able to surround him with the love he had so selflessly shown us all our lives. You gave the five of us, the space and freedom to be with him however we needed to be. EVERY member of staff here showed us such care, reassurance and guidance. Most importantly, we could see how much Dad meant to you all. You cared for Dad with dignity and love. THANK YOU

My mother moved into Barford Court at the end of February following a period of reduced mobility meaning at age 95 she could no longer live in her own home. She was fiercely independent and this was a huge move for her however the way in which she was welcomed, supported and cared for during what became the last four months of her life was exemplary. Everyone from the team leaders to the amazing carers, admin team and those cleaning/doing the laundry are professional, dedicated and caring and supported my mother in a very light touch /maximum care way that was pitched perfectly. As gradually more support was needed they were there every step of the way and since I visited almost every day I saw the home in all its guises and every one of them was excellent in terms of the care provided and their thoughtfulness at difficult times. I could not recommend Barford Court and their fabulous team more highly and will be forever grateful for everything they did for my mother.
